CL’s twitter update: “I know.. I need to sleep”
Anyone know what the treatments for EDS-related spondylolisthesis are?
i dont have spondy, but physical therapy specifically dealing with the spine can help if the PT knows enough about EDS.
also you could try compression braces if they dont hurt your skin. hope you find help soon!
"youre not complaining because you must get used to the pain"
yes, i do.
i get used to the feeling of getting stabbed, the very second i open my eyes
i get used the nights where i dont sleep due to pain and the days where i cant even shower or move because i have literally no energy left, cause i wasted it all fighting pain
i get used to taking pills just to function, and being disgusted with food because the pain makes me lose my appetite
i get used to people not believing me, calling me lazy, comparing themselves to me, using me as some form of life lesson or worse, someone they can look at with pity or be able to say “at least i am not them”.
i get used to people saying how strong i must be since i never complain or talk about my pain, but they dont know why i dont complain about it.
i am strong, not because i dont complain about my pain, but because ive learn to stop crying over the life i could’ve had and smile at the life i do have.
i have learned that complaining only helps so much, ive learned to make a bright side to things even if there isnt much to work with.
but i wish, instead of people asking me if im used to it, they asked me how i got used to it, how i learned to stop crying over what i have unfairly lost.
i wish, instead of people just telling me i am strong, they would ask me how i got so strong.
i wish people could see everything i have to put up with, every second of everyday,
because i want them to see that and say “they shouldnt have to get used to this.”
yo so my fellow chronic fatigue friends mind helping me?
is it normal for those with chronic fatigue to be exhausted after eating? like its exhausting to eat?
i gotta know cause its actually beginning to be a problem for me.
any help would be appreciated.
this shit is happening again, to the point where im choosing not to eat.
i figure its part of my fatigue but do any chronic illness buds mind helping me with tips on how to est while feeling like this?
*does literally fucking anything*
*feels nauseous*
I often find myself wondering about the life i couldve had if i wasnt disabled.
and almost immediately after i find myself mourning the life ill never have, because I am disabled.
Yeah I feel the same almost to a fault
me: nah fam depression aint got me anymore, fuck all that shit, Yo, i am THRIVING my guy like you dont even know how good i feel now
*thinks about my life for literally a second*
me:*starts gross sobbing while going into uncontrollable fits of rage, sadness, panic and grief literally wishing for the sweet embrace of death and it all to just go away*
me: lmao whoops.
things yall gotta stop asking disabled people
“have u tried yoga?” “have you been praying enough?” “have you even tried to get better?” “have you tried to lose/gain weight?” “ever consider exercising more?” “maybe it would help if you stopped laying in bed all day?” “is it really that bad?”
Have you tried (names any number of medication names)?
“When are you going to be fixed?”
"you need to stop blaming everything on your illness"
"its like youre not even trying!"
"I feel like that sometimes too, and im fine!"
made this for all chronic illness buds, ive heard every one of these.
“Have you tried praying more?” Makes me want to smash my head into a wall and just end it all.
