Liv diva I beg, I NEED more Park stuff!! Maybe like more of the flirty! Reader?? I was thinking like he sees you being flirty with someone else (yk finally seeing Robby in glasses), and like how you think he’d react? like more of a pissy guy, maybe a little sad? But pls end with a little comfort🙏🏻🤞🫶🏻
your wish is my command ;) i wanna bite brens biceps
park the shark bites back at flirty!reader. (og post)
Brendon is very aware of your silly, flirtatious ways. You keep the emergency room semi-happy and smiling to the best of your abilities with all the charming remarks and winks. Everyone always rolls their eyes and shakes their heads but there’s fondness there, under all of it. Brendon isn’t sure how to feel about his own growing fondness for you.
He likes when you call him great white and bite down on your bottom lip all teasing. He likes when he enters a room and you hum the Jaws theme under your breath. He really, really, likes the grin that erupts on your face when you see him — nobody else ever smiles at him, not really.
Liking those things is not what he can’t wrap his head around. Brendon likes you, of course he likes all that you do, simple as that. It’s the pulling he feels in his chest every time he catches you with Dr. Robby that is making it confusing.
Like last time he had to do a consult, you hadn’t even realized he was in the room because you were too busy flirting with Robby. The older man was grinning down at you with his hands on his hips and a blush under his beard, and Brendon could tell by the look on your face you’d said something cheeky. He had to clear this throat to get your attention — that’s not what’s supposed to happen! You’re supposed to flirt with him! Brendon! Your great white!
You didn’t realize anything was wrong until you walk into the trauma Princess told you had an amputated arm only to find it already all bagged up and Park already in the room.
“Oh,” You started, “Guess i’m too late. Sorry, great white, let me know if you catch another one later and need me. Or y’know, if you need me for anything else,” You shrug, that sly smirk making its way onto your face.
“No need,” He didn’t even glance at you. “Seems all these kids running around down here have finally learned a thing or two.”
“…Oh, um,” Your shoulders slumped from where they leaned against the doorway. “Yeah, okay. Um…okay.” Disappointed and a little confused, if not embarrassed, you twist around and leave the room as quickly you came.
The ED is forced to deal with your unusual moping all week. You stare off into space and let out huffs of air in long sighs, but just shake your head when anyone asks what’s wrong. Because that’s the thing — you don’t know. All you want is your great white back, but apparently, he’s decided he hates you as much as he does the rest of the ER.
Dana is starting to get a little concerned, especially when she finds you crumpled up against The Hubs desk with your eyes closed while Robby stands no more than ten feet away with his glasses on. This is an unprecedented moment, never before seen in history. Robby has the slutty glasses on and you’re not even trying to look.
“Alright,” Exhausted and over you, she throws her own glasses off. “What is the matter with you, huh?” Your eyes peel open and you stare at her from where your head still lies on the desk.
“Park the Shark won’t let me bag body parts for him anymore,” You mumble against the arm laying under your head. “He hates me.”
“That’s what this is about?” Dana’s hands fall to her hips. “Sweetheart, pick yourself up, please. He does not hate you — y’know what, here,” A pile of papers slams onto the desk right next to your head. Your gaze shifts over to them when the breeze they give off blows your hair. “Take a break and figure your…tomfoolery out with that man, would you?”
You love Dana too much to say no to her, so here you are in the elevator with the heaviest stack of paper you’ve ever carried. When the doors open, a nice young lady directs you to Parks office. Timidly, you raps your knuckles on the door and bounce on the balls of your feet. You wait an aching, tantalizing minute before giving up and turning back around.
“Oh!” He’s snuck up on you again. The second you turn your head, you find him staring down at you with those pretty, intense blues. “Um, sorry. These are for you — I don’t really know what they are, Dana just told me to pass em’ on.”
Park nods, face as serious and focused as it always looks while he grabs the stack from you. He goes to sneak through the door behind you after muttering a barely there thank you, but your voice interrupts him.
“I just — I just want to say i’m really sorry if I made you uncomfortable, Brendon,” His eyebrows, first crinkled from his usual focus, burrow deeper in confusion. He tries to ignore how nice his name sounds coming from you. “I guess i’m just used to everyone in The Pitt being okay with me being, y’know, me, but I can back off if you want me to.”
He stands in the doorway for a moment, like he’s buffering.
“No,” Brendon finally shakes his head. “No, trouble, you didn’t make me uncomfortable. I just thought…” He glances away, suddenly embarrassed and unable to look you in the eye. That stupid tug in his chest happens again, at the thought of it all. “I just thought maybe you would have liked to have the opportunity to spend more time with Dr. Robinavitch instead of with severed limbs in trauma rooms.”
“With Robby?” Now you’re equally as confused, staring up at him with your face all scrunched up. You catch something, though, in the way he can’t look at you and the pink tinge rising from under his scrubs. “Oh my God. You’re jealous!”
Brendon scoffs, head turning to look over top of you in the opposite way. His arms, all big and veiny with that stupidly expensive dark watch on his wrist, cross over his chest not too far from your eye level. He knows you too well, trying to offer up eye candy as a distraction.
“No I am not.” The scowl on his face and the pink turning to red flushing over his ears is not working in his favor.
“You totally are!” You grin, happy as can be. Truly, this is a top three moment in your life, if not number one. “Bren, you’re blushing!”
He puffs out an embarrassed breath, then glances down each way of the hallway his office is connected to and pulls you into the small room.
“You don’t have to be embarrassed,” You tell him once the door has closed behind you. His hand is still closed around your wrist when you let your palm spread over his pec. “It’s nice to see my great white with emotions again.”
You learned, last time you’d seen him outside of the company of others in the hospital, that he’s a very different man outside of his surgeon Park the Shark hours. He’s considerate, good at talking people out of sobbing on park benches (as you’ve learned through first hand experience) and even cracks a good joke.
“I’m not good at this.” His jaw locks and unlocks as he shakes his head. The hand on your wrist snakes ups and tangles over your fingers while his light blues look for answers over your face.
“You don’t have to be,” You assure him. “That’s what I’m here for.”
The smile that takes over his face is deadly and stabs you right in the achy heath.
“Just for future reference though, while Robby is pretty hot, he is insanely unstable and I don’t have the capacity to deal with his issues. Plus, he’s more of a bear kinda guy and I think i’ve made it pretty clear i’m more into the whole shark thing.”
You float back down to The Pitt with the grin you’ve been missing all week and maybe even an extra pep in your step.
“Oh, well look at that,” Dana glances up as you walk by. “Happy as can be, once again.”
“Yeah. I was wrong,” You admit, grin not moving an inch with the admission. “He’s still in love with me.”
Always wanted to make a compilation w/ most of @tianastummy 's walking videos (from Tumblr & X)!
