Forgive or Forget
Every thought, Each whisper,
I wish you could see,
I wish you could see the strings that pull me,
The makeup of my very being.
I march to the beat of my own heart,
I stand for you alone,
Wrap my arms around and hold you tight above the clouds,
No more rain, no more tears.
Does it matter if I'm broken?
Missing a few pieces,
Could you forgive the lies that I used to fill up the holes inside of me?
How about those nights we stayed up and stared at the stars,
Could you remark on how we have fallen apart?
For you,
I wish you would take my hand once more,
Another adventure,
A new land.
My love,
At least let me have this one last dance.
