okay so the hiatus actually means it's much, much more effective to contact me by email - this blog is a sideblog of the personal that i'm on hiatus on so logging back in even just to look at this is unpleasant bc i still see the same inbox stuffed full of messages and the same notifications and stuff. so if u need to ask about stuff, email me rather than sending an ask via tumblr, please!

also when i come off haitus i'm remaking my personal tumblr and so i'm actually going to remake this tumblr as well. again, since it's a sideblog it would be annoying and pointless to have to log into my personal's account just to access this one?

i'm not a photographer, and i certainly don't consider this art photography. but i am a personal artist, and there come times when personal revelations and changes made in my daily life are relevant to my art and myself as an artist in a way that i feel merits at least a note. i've been through a lot lately. i've been dealing with a lot of life changes and making a lot of difficult decisions. and somehow, in the midst of all this, my brain decided it was time to start thinking really hard about all the personal things i hadn't addressed thus far. i recently came out to a select group of people - namely my inner circle and my safe, supportive online community - as nonbinary. it's something that will affect my art the way my queerness does now and my womanhood did when it was all i knew. and shaving my head - something that might seem like a petty appearance change to some - is an important exploration of queerness and gender that i believe will end up being more than relevant to my future work. the artist is not that easily extricated from their work - i'm excited to bring you guys more fine art in the coming months alongside my illustration, and i'm excited to see how the changes happening in my personal life will manifest in my work. here's to change, and to self-discovery, and to making things out of it.

this isn't a personal blog so i'd really rather avoid going into details but the abridged version i've found myself thrust back into a toxic situation that i had managed to get out of once, but this time around it's worse and i have fewer options. what's important is that at the moment i'm safe and getting by, but things are still difficult.

sorry it's taken me so long to post this announcement, but

long story short, due to some extremely stressful and difficult developments offline, i'm gonna have to put off compiling the ANGRY/GROSS/WET zines

they are ABSOLUTELY still going to happen but it's just not something i can devote time to right now

the good news is that means that the submission deadline is basically indefinite atm. with the submissions i currently have i had gotten nowhere near where i was going to cut the zines off for length so i am more than enthusiastic about accepting more submissions, especially from ppl who didn't get to submit before the initial deadline

in the meantime, it would mean a hell of a lot to me if you guys bought stuff from my cafepress (pls excuse the ugly theme orz) or, when commissions open back up, nabbed one of those from me. things are pretty rough rn and every bit counts. thank you for your patience and understanding!
