I’ve been thinking about this question for a while. What perfume do you think each character would wear?

Oooo this one is too fun not to answer.

But I admittedly don’t know much about cologne/perfume brands and their scents. So i probably couldn’t pick something thats like an exact one to one. So I rather answer as if the question you asked was what are their scents, and what i think scent notes would suit them.

I’ll start with Akihito. I think he is the type to not to wear cologne in the first place. I feel like he’d feel it was too flashy or a vain thing. Maybe on special occasions he’d puff something on, or like if he was going out on the town with his boy’s and just for fun. Maybe if he’d gotten something nice as gift and would wear it out, or it’s something he got on the cheap. But day to day I don’t think he’d bother with such a routine. I think it was the fic Business as Usual, that always describes Akihito as using cheap body wash, and i always felt that suited Akihito very well. Usually cheap body wash is pretty heavily scented, but I cannot really picture Akihito picking a scent thats incredible strong. And he is rather proud of his masculinity so he def would avoid overly feminine, florally, or sweet scents.I feel like he’d pick one that was more muted,with maybe a hint of something sweet for body wash. He is also kinda a home body, so I am picturing him smelling like fresh and clean smelling laundry detergent. He also cooks, so smelling like the food he recently made would also fit him. I feel likes like herbiness, woodyness, smokeyness maybe, would suit a personality like that. Overall I think having kinda a youthful, fresh, mellow, clean and slightly warm scent, with an underlying bit of sweetness really suits his personality, and also just his behavior and what he does day to day.

Now on to Asami. I mean, you already know what I am gonna say 🤭 Iv said a lot that I think Asami is pretty vain, and how well aware he is of his attractiveness and always uses it to his advantage. I’ve always said that to me Asami is the type to care about details like that, and seems to put a lot of effort into crafting a look and a vibe/aesthetic for himself. And yes i think scent is all part of that. So hell yeah he’s always gonna be drenched in a very strong, very masculine, and VERY expensive cologne. The complete opposite of the spectrum compared to Akihito. I am also imagining he is the type that would sorta know about fancy brands and scents, i sorta picturing him having a cologne collection (aki maybe stealing a few puffs for himself just to be cheeky! But then he maybe turns green when he realizes the bottle was like hundreds of dollars and he never steals it again) Say Asami would have like a collection of five or so that he keeps, and he’s knowledgeable enough to even do things like layering his scents for an overall unique scent. He is def the type to have a signature scent. Some scent notes for those perfumes; would probably be something very rich, warm, spicy, amber, leathery, musky as hell, and very seductive. While i do feel thats his main scent, let’s continue talking about him. Cause he is a smoker. Personally i dont find that to be a nice smell. But A post cigarette smell goes along with his very strong, masculine, mature, smokey, tobacco smelling aura. He’s also often described, at least in fics, as someone who drink amber colored liquor — So whiskey’s (i love picturing as being a Japanese whiskey lover), and mostly likely bourbon, scotch. Japanese whiskey in particular is known to have a kinda woody, barley scent to them. Again something that i think fits his overall vibe and would also mix well with all the other scents i noted. Asami probably always smells divine at all times. However, I also like to picture his scent at home when he’s just chilling is different then when he is Mr. CEO. Once he gets back home, we know he showers and gets into more comfy clothes, so i imagine his scent is different at this point in the day. It’s not as intense, mellower and is less overpowering at this point of the day. And obviously his scent is always mixing with Akihito’s 🤭

Meanwhile Fei Long’s scent. Again I feel like he’s the type to also have a signature scent, and would also pay top dollar for cologne. A scent i would equate with him is definitely more on the woodsy side of the scent notes spectrum. I imagine him smelling like the tea he is always drinking. Mossy scents, grassy, herby. Incense kind of smell. With Jasmine and sandalwood, very calming and more gentler than Asami’s very poignant scents. Compared to Asami, who would go with maybe an older and classic kind of brand, and scent. Fei Long’s I think would have a more liberal approach to scents. And what i mean by that is i think he would have scents that are a bit more playful and light. Like with delicate white floral notes, vanillas, or rose. I can only imagine how good his hair smells 😮‍💨

Mikhail on the other hand, he is def the hardest to think about what scent would suit him. He cares about his image, but it’s in a way thats rather vain, and flashy. Unlike our other two crime bosses, in my view Mikhails taste in scents is not as curated. Not to say he lacks a unique taste, it’s just that kinda boyish youthful, casual side of his personality. His collection of cologne is more about picking whats trendy, for the bragging rights, maybe even a scent that is recognizable, so people can be like “Oh you have this?!” And he can flash a flirty grin and be like “of course!”. I like to imagine he is a bit heavy handed with his cologne’s, to the point it would piss Fei Long off. He’d have a whole host of colognes that are each super different, and he picks one everyday based on his vibes. So i think he’d probably have the whole spectrum of scent notes available to him. His breath is also probably always smelling like Russian Vodka, and i think he’d be more drawn to western brands of scents, the big named brands too.

In ch43 why do you think akihito appear in front of kuroda when ha was about to leave ?? Mabey look at me what you can do ? And i love asami reaction he just tell aki to take warm bath 😂😂 i love your page 💙

Thank you! And what a great ask! I haven’t done an obsessive frame-by-frame breakdown for awhile and this is a great one. So let’s do it! This is part of probably the most critical sequence in the entire story, starting with Aki’s reluctant return to the penthouse, the angry miscommunications, the rough sex. This scene is the start of the emotional resolution for the arc of their relationship because it’s Aki beginning to assert his place by Asami’s side.

It’s helpful to remember again how little time is passing in this story. It’s only been maybe a week or so since Kuroda cornered Aki and got all snotty about Aki performing “night duties.” So Aki is carrying that memory into the scene along with Sudou having him beaten and warning him off of Asami, all of the countless reminders not that Asami is bad for him but that he is not worthy of Asami. 

So at the start of the chapter, where he’s having his Scarlett O’Hara moment, lolling in bed, well fucked and thinking he’s happy in the moment and he’ll worry about the negatives tomorrow, here comes one of those negative voices personified, invading this private space. 

If you isolate all of the Aki frames in this scene, you get a really beautiful progression of exactly what he was thinking that led him to step in front of Kuroda. And once again, for anyone who thinks sensei isn’t a thoughtful, intelligent writer and artist, they’re not looking at what she’s putting right there on the page. So here’s Aki literally slowly waking up to some realizations:

Hearing voices, he gets out of bed and goes to see what’s up. He approaches a door, a literal but also figurative door, hesitantly, his hair over his eyes. This is all great, subtle symbolism. What’s on the other side of that door? Does Aki really want to see?

And then he hears something that throws him back–that literally opens his eyes and puts his back up against a wall–LITERALLY:

If Sudou is just Asami’s toy, then what is he, Aki? Didn’t Asami just play with him in bed, allowing him no choices of his own? He leans back, staring into the middle distance, while Kuroda suggests Asami’s senses are being dulled. 

And it’s a neat little callback to earlier in the volume, that scene where Aki zoned out in the press room:

Where Aki worries if his senses are being dulled. “This is bad. When did I become like this?” Both of them distracted by unexpected feelings. Then Aki is pulled back to the present by a present, the book Asami gives to Kuroda:

An expensive gift, given by one who knows the recipient’s desires. There is warmth and caring and more feelings are stirred within Aki:

And then this whole page is a progression of Aki grappling with how he feels, witnessing this exchange of warmth between these two men. 

Notice that now his arms are crossed over his chest, a gesture of defensiveness, to the closeup of his eye, the brow drawn but gradually lifting as Aki works out how he fits into all of this, his face half in shadow and then his head tipped back, literally (again) looking up as he determines that Kuroda and Asami occupy a space above him.

And that brings us to that moment where Kuroda steps out into the hall and the little storm of Aki’s emotions, everything that has been building and jumbling since they met in the park. 

Aki is still defensive, throwing back at Kuroda Kuroda’s insinuations about his role in Asami’s life. “I was about to make you some tea.” He’s still defensive, arms still crossed, defiant expression. He’s obviously still stung by what Kuroda had said to him in the park, but he’s also staking a claim to his position, as you say. “I am here. I am part of Asami’s world. Your words haven’t moved me. Sudou’s almost did, but still, I am here.”

And then when Kuroda goes without challenging him again, there’s another quick progression of feeling. 

The defiance begins to deflate in the face of Kuroda’s polite neutrality and shifts back to one of Aki’s defining characteristics. He is open about other people. He is willing to reassess them. That closeup of his eyes–at once puzzled, a little melancholy but also betraying that tender humanism–conveys so much.

Then Asami appears and Aki is rocketed back to all of the feelings of the last chapter, where they were left after Asami drilled him into the mattress, everything still hanging in the air over him. His expression changes again and even in that small drawing, sensei emphasizes with dark lines over his eyes to show us how he still doesn’t know, still doesn’t understand his place in this man’s world. Asami, too, is uncertain but he’s better at masking it. He’s a master at it, in fact, so much so that it leaves Aki at this terrible disadvantage. 

But Asami still doesn’t understand why Aki ran. He didn’t get the answers he wanted in the last chapter. The conversation with Kuroda only antagonized him and now Aki is standing there, glaring at him and he doesn’t get it. Telling Aki to get a bath is–I think, anyway–a bit of an admission of defeat. Or a temporary retreat. He’s got Aki back but he doesn’t know what went wrong or what to do about it. So go get a bath.

And then Asami turns his back and it looks like they’ll go on with their communication problems unresolved but Aki just went through a little transformation, a little realization and has a better footing now and he stops Asami and makes that offer about getting information for him. Sensei poses the question “His pride or the rivalry? What is it that drives Akihito?” All of it! And all of it is part of the same question that will continue to drive him. Where is his place in this? What does he mean to Asami?

All of this emotional tension is diffused in the next chapter when they both unexpectedly get a little of the grace they so desperately need from each other when Asami realizes that Aki was JEALOUS of Sudou:

Asami laughs. He laughs! That’s not just him having a chuckle at Aki’s expense. It’s a classic release of tension. And Aki may be back to his usual in-your-face mouthy denial stuff, but hey! Aki’s back to his usual in-your-face mouthy denial stuff, which means he feels like Aki again which means he feels more secure. Why? Because Asami caring that Aki was jealous means Asami cares because Aki’s feelings are important to him. Aki needed to know that in the same way Asami needed to know he was jealous.

And that is the little emotional journey sensei took us on from bed to bath.

An announcement from Sensei twitter. She’s taking a break 🥺 The wording gives me hope that its not permanent break, and that she purposely left us on a hopefully/ happier cliff hanger so we wont be waiting in agony for the next installation.

I noticed before this announcement dropped that she wasn’t signed up for the latest issue of BeBoy, and assumed that she was having a little break, as she often does after a new volume is release. But it seems she announced the break is gonna be longer than that and it will extend into the summer. It has been awhile since she took an extended break, so I can’t say i am totally surprised. I was a little worried, since it’s rare for her to post a long statement on her twitter. But I don’t think she would leave Finder quite yet. At least not without warning or giving a proper ending.

Didn't Asami notice that Aki was weird the night he was going to ask about Sudo at night? Was it because Asami was so sleepy at the time?

Now that you mention it, it was rather suspicious scene…. I didn’t really notice until you brought it up…

First of all— Like when have we known Asami to be sleepy?? SUspicccious! Secondly, I am remembering some facts which really make this feel very out of character for Asami. Earlier in this same chapter, we learned from Akihito that they’ve hardly seen much of each other lately. Akihito goes in to detail how his career was doing well and they are both so busy. He even goes so far as to say quote “we don’t see each other for so long that I almost forget he exist”. Later in the following chapter, Asami breaks down Akihito’s door and there is this whole line about Akihito being “pent up”. I only bring this up as a further reminder that its mentioned frequently that they’ve both been so busy, that not only have they not even seen each other around the apartment but they haven’t had sex for an extended period of time. So isnt it even weirder that Asami would have no reaction to Akihito in this moment given what I just said? Akihito, who most likely sleeps in the guest room, avoids sleeping with Asami, and has barely even seen each other, is caught basically crawling into Asami room at night? The rare time Akihito is somewhat lazily-so initiating contact and not hiding in his room as he usually would, but apparently Asami is just ‘too sleepy’ to even react. On top of that, above you can see Asami noting that Akihito smells like alcohol! So you’re saying an alcohol driven Akihito sneaking into Asami’s bedroom in the middle of the night??And nothing? Don’t you think normally Asami would be THRILLED and pounce! So yeah it really does seem very out of character, as we all know Asami loves when he gets a little bit of a reaction out of Akihito, and he will jump at any and all opportunity!

I dont really have the true answer as to why Asami just fell asleep, i mean its a little unfair of me to say he has no reaction because to be fair he does push Akihito onto his bed and feels him up. So it wasn’t nothing. But it is unusual for him to stop short. What I do know is that whatever it was — it’s ultimately used as a way to further cause Akihito to doubt himself, and to have distrust for Asami. For Akihito the fact that nothing happened that night is further adding to his suspicions that something is going on- even if it was something as innocent as Asami really was just tried after a long day… It further feeds into his own insecurities… Maybe even adding to the belief that Asami must’ve actually done something with Sudoh that night and thats why he wasn’t in the mood for anything more, because he was already spent/satisfied by someone else. Also notice the things Akihito is trying to say, before he realizes Asami is asleep. He is clearly already feeling some type of way about the fact that he rarely sees Asami these days, and he is pretty bluntly saying I wish you’d come home a bit earlier sometimes… Even tho he immediately takes it back. Truthfully if Asami heard that, don’t you think he’d be very happy.

On another note, I think this scene also causes further misunderstanding on Asami’s side. Because while Akihito is having a whole moment of like— what is he up to? where has he been ? The same is most likely happening with Asami in this arch too. This is the same chapter we learn that Asami has hired a P.I, though little good it does him as Akihito immediately ditches this guy. Even this scene, there is this line that has always fascinated (/haunted) me — when he notes Akihito reeks of Alcohol? Don’t you think Asami is also wondering the same things — where have you been? What have you been up to?? And who are you with?? Don’t forget that Asami also hasn’t seen Akihito this whole time either, and Asami clearly has even LESS clue what Akihito’s been up to! And who he’s been with! And we know he’s the jealous type!! You can’t tell me that he’s not also in the same boat as Akihito and feels frustrated that they hardly see each other. How must it feel for him to finally get a moment with Akihito, and see that he’s drunk and has been fooling around outside (with god knows who?) instead of coming home….

Ultimately the reason Asami falls asleep is mostly likely because he is stressed out at work. We know the reason he visited Sudoh that time, was to confront him over numbers not lining up. Which in his line of business is not a good thing — it might even be the reason why he isn’t really home during this arch because he is investigating a bunch of stuff and maybe even hunting a traitor. He gives Sudoh a chance, but ultimately we know what he was highly suspicious of Sudoh and didn’t trust him from the beginning — how draining must it be to have to talk to someone who is constantly scheming under your nose, and then the moment you confront them they put on a big performance with tears! The sad thing is that the moment he is with Akihito, I bet it’s like charging his batteries, and he is happy for even the little moment he got. Now think of the fact that he is mostly likely hunting a traitor in his midst, which SHOULD mean he should be sleeping with one eye open. But he is subconsciously so comfortable around Akihito that he easily fall asleep.

I think this is a case of how a simple misunderstanding balloons into a big issue for them. Mostly because of Akihito’s overanalyzing/ overthinking, but also because of there lack of communication. I also like to think of it as a case where they are sooo close to it, but just miss each other by an inch. If Asami had just stayed awake a bit longer…. If Akihito could just be a bit more honest — they were sooo close to getting it!

Vol 15 is out as of March 26th! Here are some pages sensei dropped on her twitter, revealing pages from the two new bonus chapters we get in this volume.

Looks like we got another bunny family episode (i think sensei loves that extra why are we getting so much bunny family 😂) plus another episode which includes another maid aki 🤭 It appears that Asami is a little mad that he didn’t get to see Akhito in his earlier maid disguise.

i was rereading Sheraton hotel scene (ch.9) and noticed the door was half open when Akihito arrives!

Okay so this is a really great little moment and another one of sensei’s genius little touches that might go unnoticed. Because see, the door is actually CLOSED when Aki gets there.

(It is set back into the doorway, but it’s closed because you can see how it is fitting perfectly into the doorframe and can see the handle on the lower right.)

Now why would sensei take up a whole entire frame to show you a closed door? Because then this happens:

The door opens! Aki doesn’t knock. He’s just standing there ruminating when the door opens. It surprises him. (Lots of clues from sensei to show his surprise.) And there’s Asami, opening the door. 

So the door was not open. It opened before Aki even knocked. Sure, Asami knew he was coming, but the fact that he KNEW Aki was standing out there at that moment is what sensei is highlighting here. 

She’s either saying that Asami just KNEW Aki was there, or he–in his anal retentive way–had calculated how long it would take Aki to ascend to his floor and was there on the dot to open the door, unable to contain himself one second longer. 

Remember, this is the first time Aki has come to Asami of his own free will (more or less,) and somewhere deep down, Asami has cherished hopes that Aki is coming to him because he likes him, not because he needs his help. And that eagerness is reflected in these panels. It’s another of those subtle but genius little touches that reveal character that sensei just tosses off so easily that they get overlooked.

I saw a picture of Bottom Asami on Deco, is it just someone who looks like Asami?

Aww yes. The cursed Bottom Asami images. They occasionally make the rounds on discord 🤭 I want to post it but it will be heavily censored (well see how tumblr likes this but I’ll try to post what i can.

Asami being topped by someone else is certainly strange to see!! But yes it’s true it’s not Asami.

Before sensei became a full time manga author (probably even afterwards too) and she was just starting in the manga world, she was doing a lot of side gigs and other work probably to buff up her resume. Including several one shots manga episodes, Finder was one of them, one that I don’t think she expected anything from. But that first episode was such a sensation and became so popular that they immediately hired her for a serialization. That was how Finder got picked up. She did other one shots, some of which i am sure you can find online. She also did an ICONIC BL Doujinshi (a self published manga, which are sometimes considered like fan fiction) of Slam Dunk, which i read a while back ago. She also did a Final Fantasy one as well! So she was in the BL scene for awhile trying to make a name for herself.

She did a lot of art work for lite novels (a short novel thats quick to read and typically very similar to manga with simple language, and is published quickly) the novels often feature a lot of manga style artwork. Cover pages, panels being created of certain scenes. Characters drawn. There are lots of famous lite novels that then get picked up as fully serialized manga and some even then go on to be animated. (For example; Heaven’s Official Blessing, Apothecary Diaries) Artist are commissioned to make that art, and well this image above is from a lite novel that Sensei worked on. There are several other images, here’s the cover for said lite novel.

I’ve never read this one, nor do I even know its title. But given the images I’ve seen I believe the story is about a yakuza member and a vampire! Sounds kinda fun!

You can see the Asami above has a large back tattoo — which our Asami does not have any such thing. So fear not it’s not the same “Asami”. This is one of those case of “Same face syndrome” which is very real for Sensei in particular! It’s just because the artist just draws similar features for all her characters and really the only distinguishing part about them is their hair, clothing and body! Sometimes I look at the above image and I start to kinda think the “Asami” looks like Akihito actually…(maybe he’s there son actually!!!) It really only looks like Asami because the hair styles are similar.

There are a bunch of other panels that sometimes float around that are from Lite Novels sensei worked on. And… well a lot of them look indistinguishable from Akihito and Asami 😅

Here’s just a little taste! None of these are Akihito and Asami! But ugh… you can see why it can be a bit confusing!

New coloring posted on sensei x. This looks like this might be one of the new covers for her upcoming volume release, Finder Honeymoon 🤭 Just like the last few releases there will be three limited editions versions of the volume - so most likely there will be two new extra’s episodes released along side these different versions.

Sensei announced she will be participating in Be Boy Magazine 35th Anniversary, here’s a new image she posted on her X.

Sensei seems to really love the bunny extra 🤭 I am not sure if this announcement is to share that there will be some upcoming new promotional images, or that perhaps there will even even be special merch released with Be Boy. OR if this is a sign we will be getting a fully on extra chapter for the anniversary (as she has done extra’s for anniversary in the past like for Animate’s anniversary) Perhaps we will be getting another Year of the Bunny family extra 🤭

This is related to the previous question, the translation i read is different from what I have read on mangasite. The translation i read in your answer is so direct and clear. The translation i read it never mentioned " US " .

The translation i read i thought Asmai was talking about general people, people who papa Asami tossed into a battle.

Right. The one I tend to reference is the sublime cause i have those ones saved on my kindle app for easy access 🤭 But yes I suppose there would be differences in different translations. The one i showed is from sublime version (left) and the other is one thats online thats a fan translation (right) (if that was indeed even the one you are talking about ??)

I can’t say which one is the better translation as I don’t know Japanese. To me they seem to be saying very similar things, so I am not necessarily complaining about either version. Though I have heard that sometimes the official is a bit off, just as sometimes fan made one can also be a bit off.

In my past post I didn’t mean to put so much meaning on to the single word “us” — it was just meant to point out the vagueness of this line as a whole. He is not making an “I” statement in either versions, it’s like he is talking about more then one person. Who is he talking about if not himself or Maxim specifically ?? Or how do you know that he doesn’t care about the ones who don’t make it?? Because someone else didn’t make it??? As if it’s coming from experience.

I am not really making any theories based on this, i was merely just pointing out how cryptic this sounded. He could easily just be talking him and maxim together, or even more broadly about the other people (who aren’t related to Asami in any way) who died fighting on behalf of papa Asami’s organization.

It could be something, like Asami has more siblings that were killed? But it could also be hinting to things that happen to him while he was a mercenary— like maybe either him or Maxim being left out to dry by papa Asami’s organization and almost dying and there father not caring.

Hi, I don't understand the problem of Papa Asami why can't he treat his sons like sons, or Papa Asami has Super High expectations or he thinks both of his sons are useless they need to prove their worth ( Maxim )

I am always down to hypothesize about Papa Asami!

Asami’s line from vol.11 about how his father treats his children. That “us” is doing a lot here — and has always made me wonder if there are more Asami siblings that we don’t know about…and maybe even ones that didn’t make it out alive…

We really don’t know much about Papa Asami, and from the start he sounded like a pretty bad person. Our first time hearing about this character was in Finder no Souen. Where we see teenage Asami being corned by a group of men, who are asking him to return to his father, threatening/pressuring him into doing so. Its a little unclear why or how he left in the first place — It sorta made out to be that teenage Asami managed to strike some deal allowing him to leave and live with his mother, for either only a period of a year or some other unspecified amount of time. In any case, within the year his father is hounding him to return — so whatever it was it mattered very little to Papa Asami and he essentially immediately wanted Asami’s return. Due to the events of No Souen, ending in Asami basically having to take out a gang, he is forced to return to father in the aftermath. Asami is basically blackmailed into agreeing to return. Interestingly its sounds somewhat similar to the same thing that Maxim did to Asami, with the contract he had to sign. (Like father like son…) With the agreement being Papa Asami would clear up the mess about the dead gang, in return for Asami agreeing to coming back. So either he could face the law or return to his father.

So what we can surmise from that infromation, was that even before Asami reached adulthood — he was already quite deadly, and trained to kill. So who knows what kind of training he went through. On top of that, being blackmailed by your own father… I mean in short it sounds like Papa Asami basically raised his children to be child soldiers and then keeps them locked in, dependent on him and loyal to him only.

My theory is that Asami most likely was forced into crime, because of who is father is. Not only so that he had some protection against the law, or potential enemies of his father. But also and maybe more importantly, it gave him protection from his own father. Think about what would happened if back then, when he was in high school — if he’d had the right connections and enough power. He could have cleaned up his own messes himself and not been reliant on his father — blackmail tactics wouldn’t work on him. And he would have a semblance of independence and control over his own destiny. Becoming a crime boss in your own right, becomes what is most likely the only way to get out of his father’s shadow, and live with a bit more autonomy.

People have already guessed that Papa Asami is looking for a possible heir to take over his business and that is why he is like this with his children, shaping them to be the best so they can take over a highly competitive and dangerous organization. Maybe it’s what he tells himself — but i don’t want to confuse this person with someone who actually cares or is worried about his children being killed because they are too weak. I plainly refuse to give him the benefit of the doubt and say that maybe it’s more complicated and he is this way out of some false sense of protectiveness. It sounds like bullsh8T that even Asami probably long ago saw right though, which is why he left and doesn’t consider either Maxim or his father as family. The fact that Maxim essentially blackmailed Asami with the lifesaving drugs Akihito needed, tells me that nothing has changed from back when Asami was in High School. They are still pulling these underhanded tricks to get what they want.

Most likely the bounty hunters are connected to Papa Asami and the contract Asami signed. I think it's more likely that it’s someone else who Papa Asami has tasked with collecting Asami, rather than Papa Asami himself. Whether it’s that mysterious man we saw who was playing poker with Fei Long (Who could very well be Papa Asami, but I am more inclined to believe he could be a commander for Papa Asami) or if it was Maxim who might be pressured into making sure Asami fulfills the contract.

Though i think it would be fun if there was some twist — like its actually Fei Long who is doing it because papa Asami or Maxim has decided to take it out on him, since Asami has decided to skip town. Meanwhile, Fei Longs like Helll nahh. I ain’t dealing with this myself just cause y’all wanna go on some honeymoon!!! 😤

I could totally see that being an option.

Another funny twist could be something like it’s Kirishima because he actually sincerely believes Akihito’s kidnapped Asami and he’s out here being like “I am coming boss!! I’ll save you!!” Having no idea whats going on 🤣

Yes of course I remember! I actually always get asked questions about aki’s father, but i havent been asked in a while 🤭

It is confirmed to us in the character profile pages from vol 3. There is a little section thats meant to be an “interview” with Akihito, where he brings up his dad.

In two separate questions he brings up that his dad is a photographer, and that he is a traveling photographer. Maybe this is to explain why nobody ever checks on poor aki — in that his parents maybe live mostly overseas?

There is also another side episode, the one where Akihito goes to a day care and is being watched by a BeBoyGold detective who is making a report of everything Akihito does in a day. He goes to the day care and mentions to the kids there that when he was there age — he once broke his dads camera and cried and ran around the house trying to avoid his dad who was yelling at him. 😅 On a side note Aki’s dad sorta sounds like him….

There is also some evidence that Akihito’s father may even be a well known photographer, and is maybe famous. Though this is mainly my own suspicion. There are sometimes illusions to the fact Aki got his position as a freelancer using “connections”
