The way he says his name for her just gets me every time. Especially the emotional scenes when he calls her “Bones.” Idk what David does lol but the way he can capture the emotion in his voice, you can tell how much Booth loves Brennan, by the way he says her name. *SOBS FOR ETERNITY*

Exactly four months ago, it was the fourth time we saw them in that place.

It’s funny if you think about it.

It was always a place of endings and beginnings.

In the Pilot, it was that place where she blackmailed him to take her out to the field. They weren’t just strangers feeling attracted to each other and trying to hide it anymore. That was the moment they began to be partners.

In 6x21, after wars and serial killers and ghosts and snakes, they were ready to catch each other. In fact, 6x21 was the last episode they were “just partners”; that relationship with deep feelings, hidden behind a partnership, would end forever. A new journey was beginning for them. They were more than partners, more than friends, more than best friends. They were in love. Forever. And that journey led them to not only being lovers (Vincent would enjoy this word) but also a family.

In 9x06, they have the partnership, they have the love, they have the family. It’s the beginning of something even deeper. For the rest of their lives, the admission in front of everyone they care about that what they have? It’s until their last breathe. They’ll never have problems again about what to call each other when they’re introducing themselves. They’ll call each other, proudly, fondly, husband and wife.

In the Finale, well, maybe you can tell it’s not as game changer as the other 3 times. But maybe it is. It’s a new part of that journey where they walk side by side, that we were introduced to since the beginning. New lab, new challenges. And we won’t get to see this new part of it. But see, it’s not an ending. They’re just reaffirming everything that they stood for in that place over the years.

Booth and Brennan. Partners. Lovers. Family. Husband and Wife. Everything.

They had many times. But the rose garden in front of our dearest lab?

That’s their place.

Four months later, or four years later, or four decades later.

Nothing erases their history.
