Guys, I have over 900 posts on this blog... No I do not have a masterlist. There's just no way.
I know I haven't been on in forever. Life has me busy but I have an important question! In an orgy with the Lost Boys, would David want to be first or last to fuck (Y/N)?
I can see reasons for both.
David's favorite book is the Outsiders and no one can tell me that it's not.
Do you have a materlist
No. I'm terrible at keeping them :(
Okay, I know I've been gone for a long ass time but life kicked my butt again. But here's a gift for you all.
Bo Sinclair meeting a girl like Elly May from the Beverly HillBillies. She loves animals but can kick his but and lift him without issues.
Appalachian hillbilly girl meets rough Louisiana boy.
The soulmate AU where you only see black and white until you meet your soulmate... But your soulmate is Zoro and you meet him after joining the Straw Hats so everyone has fairly normal colored hair except for Franky.
So you see Zoro's hair and your like... Wtf is wrong with your hair?!
And Zoro is like... Wait... What's wrong with my hair?! After also seeing that it is green for the first time.
My niece has watched lost boys five times since I first showed it to her. 😅😅
if you write this, can I be tagged in it?
Sure I just need to think of a plot lol
I wanna make a fan fic about Fonzie from Happy Days.

He was my first love.
Wait he has a bulge in that gif. 😏😏

Not to bring on some Star hate or anything but I was reading that it seems the Lost Boys other than David do not like Star. And that makes me wonder why David *does* like her? Is it a corruption kink or something?
But then I'm like but imagine you show up and the boys actually like you. They are shocked because David's tastes are always weird but he brings you to them and they love you. So much.
With the way all of the Lost Boys pulled up to Star and Michael in the movie… I would assume it really is just tolerance towards her. David seemed to be the only playful one, everyone else was patiently or tolerably waiting for Star to join them again. They only really became interested when David challenged Michael to a race.
I think it really is just a corruption kink or just the seniority and power over a soft woman. Though I definitely also mainly see their dynamic being platonic based just very possessive.
For the boys to ALL LIKE SOMEONE, I would assume they’d either be calm and playful enough that they’re tame enough to keep around, to control… but still willing to join in on the fun. Or quite literally, a mix of all their personality traits at once. Either you’re a tame puppy they can bring along, balance the group out some more, or add fuel to the fire.
See I saw Star and David as a friendship thing too because if it wasn't I think he would have been pissed off to find out they had sex which obviously he would know since he has heightened senses.
Guys. I need money for a fan art idea because I neeeeeedd it and I can't draw it myself. Or maybe someone will take it and run with it but...
The Lost Boys + Sam and Michael at Thanksgiving with Lucy putting the turkey on the table etc. Like the classic scene but with Lost Boys chaos. Maybe Max at the head of the table or something.
I literally just wrote a fic about this but I'm just obsessed with David stealing a stuffed animal from you and not telling anyone. Until you point it out and everyone is mad about him not sharing. But he won't.
It's his.
And no you can't even look at it.
Star said the point of Michael was she was supposed to kill him but Max said the point of Michael was to get his mom with Max.
So like... was Star lying or did David lie to Star??? Also why is Star always thinking everything is about her? They kill Marko and she's like 'they are coming to take me back' but like... No? It's about Marko not you.
Okay maybe I'm not a fan of Star and I finally realized why.
I think an easier way to take it could be that Star, much like most of the characters in this movie aside from the Boys themselves and them alone, is an unreliable narrator.
No one has the full picture aside from Max. Star didn't know of his existence, and given how the Boys act, I would fully believe that Star was running with some faulty intel as well. It's easy to be lied to when you know nothing of your situation, and it's even easier to be lied to by omission. David simply had to play his little games, or simply say nothing whatsoever, and let Star try to fill in the gaps, letting her run off of assumptions. Guesses. Suppositions.
And even further - David might not actually enter into this at all. You say that Star tends to make everything about herself, and you are right in a way! Star can be a little selfish, and she's a person trying to get out of a bad situation. What's more, she knows she's she lowest in the pack right now. She knows she's causing the Boys problems and she's seen what's at the end of the Boys' interest when it runs out with something. Someone. She's hypervigilant about herself.
David may not have said anything at all, and Star simply assumed it was 'what he wanted' based off of all previous knowledge she has of his personality and what she's seen of their lives so far.
Also, this is a little headcanony, but...Star may have also, at this point...been trying to find a way to justify actually wanting to kill and eat Michael to herself. Looking for someone, anyone, anything to blame it on, other than her own need to drink blood finally winning over her humanity. Divert the guilt to, when it's over, so she can feel she did not ultimately make the choice all on her own.
And.
Star herself, as you said, may also be lying. Star is not a perfect person, and at this point she's desperate. She's going to take any lifeline she sees with both hands, and Michael is that for her. He got himself involved, but was wary, he didn't cave quite all the way, and managed to make it through the bonfire slaughter without feeding, proving he's got a pretty strong will, and is just as horrified as she is. Regardless of what the reality may be - ie, two people going against four (five, if you count Max) powerful vampires fully willing to nearly kill them just to prove a point - Star sees Michael as her savior, and will do what she feels she has to in order to save herself.
I personally prefer to go with a combination of this and the 'Star is running off of assumptions' headcanon because it gives her more agency in the story, and makes her a more complex character. If you'll notice as well, her go-to with Michael is to try the 'I love you so much' gambit....and it doesn't work the second time. Michael is too freaked out, and he's angry because he remembers her saying 'I can't tell you' in the cave. Can't tell you. Not 'I don't know'. She knew they were vampires and she knew what was going to happen sooner or later. He's angry at her. And when her ploy to try and ply him with her 'love' doesn't work, she actually tells the damn truth and admits out loud, probably for the first time, that she wants Michael to save her and Laddie.
As for the thing with assuming they're going to come for her - well. Refer back to Star being hyperventilate about the Boys. She's likely used to being on the receiving end of their ire for actions they don't like, so its simply where her brain is at. And again - it's an assumption that's justified, but not really proven.
(Now I'm just thinking about when Star runs past Paul who was hiding behind the door and shuts it after her. I guess one could say that he was simply choosing the much more important target of the Frogs, planning on getting her later or letting one of the others do it, but...there is that thread of, again, 'Star is firmly of the belief that the Boys are the big bads here, no matter what actual actions they take...)
Star, just like Michael and Sam and the Frogs and Lucy, is an unreliable narrator because none of them have the whole picture, and even after the end, they still really don't. Star can be an incredibly complex character, but I think the issue comes with trying to see her as a 'good' person, rather than a potentially morally grey person.
After all. She's with the Boys in the first place.
Honestly, this makes me more irritated at Star. This makes it feel like she's never even bothered to ask any questions.
I'm not arguing that you should or shouldn't like Star - trust me, this is just for the sake of tossing a character concept around in fandom, and me and my writing partner agree that she's....a veryy difficult character to actually like because of so many factors, ie: she's the one who kills the Boys' fun, she's the object Michael and David are supposedly fighting over, the only thing we really see of her in the movie is when she's fawning over or (uselessly) trying to verbally defend Michael, and SUBTEXTUALLY, she's the thing that they put in there to have plausibly deniability to a straight audience. 'See? Michael and Star are totally in love, so ignore all the chemistry there is between David and Michael (except for you queer folk who we are ACTUALLY making this movie for).'
With that said: in a watsonian take of this story - Star very well may have asked questions! And this time, it was DAVID who was not in a position to actually answer them, or simply lied.
Star says to Max 'you're the secret that David was protecting', which in my mind reads as Star knowing there was some bigger element here - maybe David going off on his own for unknown reasons, staying out during the day somewhere but never telling where - but never being able to guess at it, or get a straight answer out of any of the Boys.
Star is observant, but, she also knows she's in a situation where she's not...totally In with the gang. Her reluctance to live like they do fully, join in with them totally, makes her someone they don't want to engage with, and certainly won't tell the important, weakening information.
Star refuses to engage with them, so they refuse to engage with her.
Star also feels like the kind of person who doesn't want to admit to the fact that she CHOSE a lot of this, chose to come with the Boys knowing what they are, and when they revealed the truth of the matter (ie, 'live forever, be basically invulnerable, but you must kill humans') she realized how deep she was and wants out. But she also can't go back, not really. She's in TOO deep, now, and she doesn't want to admit that it's mostly her own fault.
Which, again, doesn't make her the most likeable character, but it does make her more interesting. A good character doesn't mean a good person, it just means they have depth and a reason for you to care about what happens to them in a story.
I know but sometimes there's parts of certain fandoms that makes you think if you dislike a female character you are a sexist or something but those are all the reasons she irritates me as a person.
I struggle writing her into my fics because of it.
Now Lucy is cool af. But I've also always wanted to know how much would their lives really change if they became vampires in general.

They/them pronouns for the reader so any reader can enjoy it. :)
David says fuck and reader crochets. 🤷♀️
David laid in their bed smoking a cigarette. They had just having some rambunctious activities and everyone was winding down. Dwayne was reading one of their lover's books. Paul was playing music and smoking weed. Marko was busying himself with the pet in the house. All the while, (Y/n) was taking a shower.
All was peaceful.
Until (Y/n) showed up and David sat straight, a look of annoyance on his handsome face.
"Are those my underwear?" He growled.
They looked down at their squishy body. They rubbed their cheek awkwardly for a quick moment and laughed.
"Yeah, you... Left them here last time and I never got around to giving them back. I sort of adopted them," they responded.
David's look soured more.
"Did you ask?" He growled.
"No," they responded.
"That's my shirt, isn't it?" Paul said next.
"Maybe,"
Paul shrugged. "That's fine babe, but ask next time,"
That's when they had their turn to be irritated. They looked at David and shook their head.
"You all take my stuff all the time without asking," they pointed out.
"Yeah well, it's the principle," David said. "You need to ask. Keep them, but ask,"
They looked even more annoyed.
"David you take something from my house every time you are here. If it fits in your pocket you take it," they pointed out.
"Dwayne takes my books and never returns them,"
Dwayne closes the book in his hand and sets it on their desk.
"Paul takes my music albums and my socks," they glared.
Paul laughs. Far too gone to care.
"And Marko takes my underwear,"
Marko smirks.
"Guilty," he admits.
"Well that's different," David growled. "We always intend to return them,"
They stare at the leader of the biker gang.
"Name one time,"
Silence.
"Actually, as far as I'm concerned those socks and underwear belong to Paul and Marko. Who knows how crusty those are now,"
"Hey!" Marko protested.
"Kitten, that's not fair," David huffed.
They huffed and plopped on the bed.
"I don't like my stuff being placed I don't know about. We don't want evidence somewhere," he said with a tinge of irritation in his voice. David didn't care that much, like he said it was the principle. Hell, he loved that they wore his stuff.
"Is it because I stretched it?" They asked.
David was pulled from his thoughts.
"The fuck?" He said shock. "No, I don't give a shit about that," he said coolly. "Just let me know," he breathed.
They nodded. It seemed more like a possession thing for David. A control issue.
"You said you planned on giving me my things back?"
David nods and takes a drag of his cigarette.
"What about the Mothman I crocheted?"
"That one I didn't borrow. It's mine and you know it," he pointed at them.
"Wait you crocheted mothman?" Paul said.
"I want to see it," Marko said.
"No, it's mine," David hissed.
"That's not fair! I want to see it," Paul complained.
"No, it's mine and mine alone," he snapped.
Paul and Marko looked a shade of disappointed.
"I can make another one?" They offered.
That seemed to cheer the boys right up.
Star said the point of Michael was she was supposed to kill him but Max said the point of Michael was to get his mom with Max.
