My brother bought me the Mario Kart special Nintendo DS for Christmas about 22 years ago. I found out a few night ago that it still works, and its battery works well. The loader card I bought for trying homebrew music software can transfer save files from my computer emulator and load... visits to the Grand Line.

Although some games are playable enough on emulators, most DS games really wanted you to use the touch screen as a part of gameplay and a mouse or computer touchpad does not work as a substitute.

I didn't stay interested long enough to end up with a 3DS (or 2DS, the 3D screen effect isn't great for my eyes anyway) but I know there is a ton of material I missed out on because of it. What a good form factor and design... I've been pecking at Etrian Odyssey.

Tumblr really is the nicest looking social/blogging experience, I wish I had more to share on it.

I felt sick for the past week and a half and haven't even written in the private one, but what I've managed to write in there really needs to stay in private.

The mother duck has returned to hanging out with the adult males, leaving the juveniles who are mostly grown but don't have their red colors yet to themselves. There were actually 10 of them, the main 8 stay together, one of them wanders alone but I still see it around, and the tenth disappeared when they were tiny and, I hate to say, probably fed a cat or a turtle.
