and now i’m stuck here thinking about kip being utterly alone after the devastation with his family, not knowing what to do or where to go. did foster care get him? or a distant relative look after him until he was eighteen? he would have retracted from everyone & everything, but somehow this tiny, tiny large handed 13 year old girl pushed herself into his life and it’s so upsetting to imagine all the times he’d yell at her and get upset and break down because NO, he doesn’t NEED anyone, he just wants to be alone and molly won’t LET THAT HAPPEN, there’s no way she’ll let it happen. she got past his wall, his insecurities, his depression and managed to gain his trust and his love and gave him something to hold on to. she gave him a best friend, a sister, a family.
