forever the optimist! | intro/open ✿
Once again, Sakuya found herself walking the streets of this desolate, dirty city.
…Or, well, the dirtier sections of it, anyway. It seemed the easiest place to acquire some more useful weapons than these sad, wooden excuses for knives they had given her. Though perhaps she should have just found a place in the shopping district where they sold stainless silver cutlery… Alas.
At any rate, she needed to relocate her mistress and whomever else had been absent from the mansion. Perhaps actively seeking out the shrine maiden would be of benefit to the maid this time around.
The tapping on her shoulder struck her from her reverie.
"What? Oh, my…"
"I hope you realize this isn’t the safest place for conversation—unless your goal is to have an early meeting with your deceased relatives, so by all means, continue.
"Otherwise I’d suggest you follow me to the nearest building so we might talk inside. In a safer place."
Children these days, really.
✿ Nia was a bit caught of guard by the young woman's response. Even as an adult, though, her naivete was still as pertinent as ever. She didn't quite realize the possible implications of approaching people in a place, not-so-subtly-nicknamed, The Ghetto. It also didn't help that she was a bit unsure as to what a ghetto was, exactly. It didn't sound too good; but, hey, there was good in all things, right?
"If you believe indoors would be a safer place to converse, I will agree with you!" she replied, keeping a positive attitude regarding the situation. "If you are a seasoned resident here, following your advice would be most beneficial!"
Nia looked around, hoping to spot a nice little shop or restaurant to chat in; but, as she looked around, she began picking up on the definition of a ghetto -- slowly but surely. The buildings were tarnished, damaged, and dirty. The people suddenly seemed much more... suspicious than they were upon Nia's arrival. It was strange how someone else's point of view made your own so much clearer.
