My friend Mara has been fighting cancer for 4 years. She just finished her 4th round of chemo and one of her friends just set up a gofundme to help with medical expenses. I can’t donate much on my own, but I’m hoping if enough people would like a cute little bust we could make at least a bit of a difference! Note that my commissions are never this cheap, so if you like my art now’s the time to seize! SEIZE A BUST!! ALSO Mara’s a talented artist! You can see her art mostly on her Insta!
My friends are wonderful and beautiful! Support them!!!
I’m re reading and forgot how precious Phos was in the beginning.

A short comic about patience. Sometimes the things you want to happen, finally happens when you stop thinking about it.

Phos, is that really you?
I started watching Houseki no Kuni. And I love my rocks.
I love your spooky food drawings! Would you even consider selling those as stickers?
Ahh! Thank you! I’m really glad that you like them. Actually I never even considered it to be honest. Maybe I could try to???
A few fashion illustration that I did for inktober this year.

“Anna is the daughter of an American couple working in Cairo. Layla is the daughter of the doorman in Anna’s apartment building. Together they strike up an unlikely friendship that is put to the test when both girls are faced with family health crises at home and revolutionary unrest on the streets. As Anna and Layla reckon with illness, risk, and loss in different ways, they learn the power of friendship and the importance of hope. Ultimately, they must recognize that there is still time to fight for a better tomorrow, together. Lissa brings anthropological research to life in comic form. This powerful fictional story deftly bridges the experiences of two young women—one dealing with kidney failure and organ transplantation in Egypt, and the other with breast cancer genetics and prevention in the US. It is the first book in a new series designed to combine scholarly insights with visually rich storytelling in order to foster greater understanding of global politics, inequalities, and social life.”
My friends Sarula and Caroline worked so hard on this and it looks amazing. Please check this out if you get the chance. I can’t wait to finally read it myself!
