The one thing Ted admired most about Charity was her resilience. He could never do what she did. He usually helped her out and would attend the protests. But he mostly just stuck by her side during them. He wasn't afraid of speaking up, but big crowds like that made him feel small. He didn't know why he felt it easier to take people on one by one. Maybe it was because he didn't consider himself a real target just by himself, where as a crowd of angry voices. That demanded to be listened to.
"Is it too much?" Ted thought Charity was probably the expert here, but he also thought the point of protest was kind of to be annoying. That way everyone would be talking about it. "Probably, but I wouldn't let that stop you- whilst it's not nearly as fun, it's probably safer than cursing the purists." Ted gave her a supportive smile "though if you do decide to go with the cursing, give me a heads up so I can watch-might even bring my granddad's old video camera, wouldn't count as evidence since they probably wouldn't be able to work out how to use it."
Charity always enjoyed a good challenge. She was well aware she had a quality about her that made people want to listen to her, believe in what she's saying. It filled her with pride. Even though she could be caught causing a scene in favor of justice, she was seen as a gentle person towards those closest to her. She'd never been a fan of working alone, and she preferred working with others.
She released a small chuckle at his comment. "Tedward, I would never deprive you of witnessing such an amazing act." Charity paused. "I just feel like I should be doing more, you know?" He might be right, it probably was safer. What was the point in playing it safe, though? Charity wanted to make a difference. She had to make a difference.
Charity glanced down at her coursework. "Plus, I've been wondering if I'm even on the right path at school, if all of this is a waste of time. I mean, as much as I enjoy Muggle Studies, what am I going to do with it when I leave?" If she even got the chance to leave. It wasn't often that Charity doubted herself.
