Devin’s reason for not calling the guards was utterly DULL. She was refraining because she actually cared about her well-being? Was this one of those therapists who claimed to truly feel compassion toward their patients? One of those therapists who wanted to “fix the world.” GOD. Helena hoped not. There was no “fixing” her and she didn’t want to be fixed even if there was some magical cure. Despite the heart-warming speech the older woman gave – she still had a FEELING she had enjoyed it at least a little bit. Even the kindest soul on the face of the planet wouldn’t put up with sexual assault just to “save” someone. “Whatever, lady.” Helena let out a sigh of frustration, walking across the room and grabbing a pair of the UGLIEST looking sweats, a T-shirt, and some socks. No shoes. Guess they were afraid she’d use the laces to hang herself or strangle one of the workers. “Yer loss. Would a’ made ya cum harder than you ever cum b’fore.”
It wasn’t that Helena was SCARED to push the therapist. She prided herself on being able to read people’s weaknesses and this woman was weak as fuck. If she pushed, Devin would crumble beneath her touch. EASY. But, she was gonna be stuck in this institution for a while and she may as well wait ‘til their first one-on-one session to BREAK the woman. The tiny Southern redhead yanked the atrocious sweats on, letting them hang low on her prominent hips, before tugging the T-shirt over her head and slipping on the socks. Was gonna be hard as fuck to convince anyone to fuck her looking like this, but she’d manage. “Happy now? I look like a fuckin’ moron.”
Helena was clearly not impressed with her reasoning - and she really couldn’t blame her. There were so many bleeding heart therapists that were completely out of touch with what people actually wanted. Whether Devin was one of them, she wasn’t entirely sure, but she wasn’t going to call it a day and over medicate the girl without giving her a chance. She wasn’t that type of person - and if the patient wanted to scoff at her for it, that was that. Devin was in no place to argue, especially not when the patient was finally picking up her issued clothing to put on. The added comment made the therapist press her back harder against the wall, as if she could melt into it and pretend Helena was wrong. Again, Devin felt that objecting would just be lying, and she swallowed around the nervous lump in her throat. Even considering the validity of the statement was beyond inappropriate, and Devin scolded herself for wondering at all. Helena was clearly getting into her head, the blush on her cheeks and the stirring in her stomach a clear sign. Devin did her best to look calm and collected as she slowly lowered herself from the counter. It was nearly impossible to do, especially with the blush still coloring her cheeks and the slight tremor in her hands. The therapist masked it as best she ould as she smoothed her hands over her scrubs and coat, grateful for the concession. “Yes, I am, actually. Thank you, Helena.” She didn’t understand why, but despite trying hard not to, she found herself smiling just a bit at the frustrated comment. Devin didn’t think that she looked like a moron at all - the clothing wasn’t flattering, but she seemed to wear it confidently. It wasn’t appropriate to consider it cute, and “I won’t forget this, Miss Leblanc,” she added, tentatively placing the girl’s clothes in a gallon ziplock to be stored later. “Cooperating can only help you in the long run. I’ll be sure to put a good word into your records.” It was probably ridiculous of Devin to consider getting dressed to be such a feat, and any other therapist might have written the girl up extensively for her offenses. She was going to add it to her own records and probably provide an amended summary of the incident for the orderlies, but she didn’t want to hang Helena before she could even spend a week at the facility. “Come on, I’ll show you to your room.” Devin made her way to the door and held it open for the patient, gesturing down the hall.
