He really hoped he had gotten the other’s name right. He met so many people that day, it wouldn’t really be a surprise if he was mistaken. For a moment, he had to feel lucky. That other guy who kept getting angry wasn’t around the alpaca god now...

It’s Tuesday.

Normal.  Old.  Tuesday.

Except if you look around, you will notice something off.  Mostly this girl’s shirt.

She’s carrying on life as if nothing were different, but she’s not wearing a shirt.  Today is Tuesday.  Topless Tuesday.  The day where if she doesn’t take her shirt off, the apocalypse will happen and everyone she knows and loves will die by the fires of Arceus’ wrath.

There’s something to be said for all the crazy things that happen to Tsuna on a daily basis. One moment, he’s minding his own business, walking around the town to get a feel for it, and the next moment, some guy just jumped off a building from an impossible height, landing right next to him. The surprise sent Tsuna jumping back with a squeak. After all of that, the man in front of him spoke so calmly it left him momentarily speechless.

“Lovely weather we’re having.”

“...Wh-Where did you even come from?!”

He thought he saw a familiar face when he saw it “Sawada-dono? Is that you?”

Then he beamed into a big grin “It really is Sawada-dono! It’s been a while since I’ve seen you, how are you fairing?”

“B-Basil? You’re here too?” Tsuna’s initial expression of shock gave way to a small smile. Thank goodness. It was probably a little selfish, but he didn’t want to be here alone without someone he knew. “I’m doing alright...” As well as he can in this place. “How long have you been here...? Are you really used to this place already?”

“I do wish for you to be more of an opponent, as it’s only fun when you strike with full-power”

..He’s bluffing.

“Wh- Even at a time like this?!”

Honestly, one would think Mukuro could put aside his plans to destroy the mafia at least long enough for this zombie war to subside. Ah, what was he supposed to do in this situation? Somehow, he didn’t think the mist-user would listen to him very well.

“There’s no mafia on this island...! B-Besides, shouldn’t we be working together to stop the zombies?”

      She’d had this thought on her mind for a long time, ever since the concept of a mafia family had been so briefly explained to her. She had no idea what it was all about, or what kinds of things really happened. All she knew was that there was surely a way to become a part of Tsuna’s family, and she would always want to be involved. She’d never once brought it up to him, though, unsure of how to even start a conversation about it. However, as she sat here, fiddling with her soda’s cap, the thoughts started surfacing again, and she found the words finally coming off the tip of her tongue.

“Hey, hey, Tsuna..? What’s it like..being a boss of a mafia family..? ..How does that kind of family even work? I’ve only ever known Mommy and Daddy..is it different, in the mafia..?”

      She had so many questions–too many, and she didn’t want to flood him right now. She’d just have to start with those, and hopefully figure out just what it would mean to be a part of what he had, if she were allowed to be.

“E-Eh?”

Where did that question come from? They had just been hanging out, and she suddenly felt the need to ask about something like that? Honestly, he had choked a bit on his soda before even being able to sputter out that surprised response. Wiping away a bit of soda that had gotten on his mouth, Tsuna responded with a slight frown.

“I’m not the boss of the family, and I don’t really want to be, so I don’t know what it’s like or how it really works... I never asked the ninth. But I guess even though there’s a lot of differences, there’s some things in common... The boss is decided through the bloodline, and the families are usually really close, but they get involved in way more dangerous things than a normal family.”

It’s a shame he didn’t really know what Lily’s family had been like, so he couldn’t really answer in a way that she might understand. He had mostly just always assumed his friends had a peaceful home life like he did until Reborn showed up.

Out of everything he thought he would ever see in his life, this was nowhere near what he had so much as dreamed. There was some guy flying through the sky like a rocket. On fire. The guy was on fire and just punched straight through someone’s skull. On fire. His forehead was–

Shocked enough by the drug trip he must be on, he dropped his jaw a little. This guy was so calm and cool. His manner just made Chay feel like he could trust him to know what to do in this situation. It gave him a little more strength to know there was someone like that around. 

Then the question registered in his brain. Hell, he didn’t even know what an SPF was aside from sunscreen. “– I don’t know what that is.” He admitted before turning around to brutally smash an risen’s head into his knee several times. 

Ah, so this person was new. He must be to not know what the SPF is, and that would explain why Tsuna couldn’t place a name to this stranger’s face. Yet, didn’t he still seem familiar somehow? Hm... That was something to worry about another time.

“It’s the police station. The building is indestructible. It’s the only safe place on the island.” SMASH. As he spoke, two more of the risen had their skulls shattered by a swinging kick. These things would be of no concern on their own, but since they came in masses and armed themselves with weaponry, they’d be problematic if Tsuna and this person didn’t move soon.

Taking a step in the direction of the building, the Vongola crushed the remaining risen in their nearby path before turning his gaze once again to the other fighter. “It’s this way. We need to move.”

At first he had thought that these terrifying things must have been some really pathetic drug addicts. The first three perhaps and then he figured that even Bangkok didn’t have that many people so strung out on pcp that they wanted to come at him in midaeval costuming with very real swords. So there was only one option when, homeless as he was, he was being attacked at every turn.

To fight.

The teen fought rather viciously. There was little beauty or finesse in how he used the hardest parts of his body to dislocate jaws and snap legs. Once they were down low enough, a swift knee and elbow would crack open a rotting skull. High energy and intense, he felt his body heating pleasantly as the burn set in. 

This was all self-defense, of course. But this grueling continuance was too intense and exhilarating to not get invested in the violence on a more personal level.

Was it normal to feel this excited about having such extensive liberties with his opponents? Being able to crush them utterly… Training in a dojo paled in compare to this.

In this sort of situation, those who were able should go out and ensure to the safety of anyone that they could. That’s what he had thought, but there were too many of these things. A seemingly endless army replaced every enemy that was defeated. At this rate, even capable fighters could be overwhelmed if they didn’t retreat to safety.

Blasting himself through the air with the force of his dying will flames, Tsuna noticed one such fighter from the sky. He was doing well, taking out the risen one after one- but if he didn’t get out of there soon, he’d find himself exhausted.

Descending towards the battle, Tsuna smashed a hole through the skull of one zombie using a gloved hand before touching his feet to the ground. Voice deep and calm, he glanced at the stranger.

“The enemies are regenerating. Can you carry this fight towards the SPF building?”

“Well, you see, my best friend recently arrived on the island and she offered to take me stargazing!”

“I also talked to her about you and she would love if you would join us! I would too! So, what do you say? Wanna go stargazing with me tonight?” She smiled at him.

“St-Stargazing with you?” Tsuna’s cheeks turned a bit red at the thought. That was such a romantic thing to do.... but then again, her friend would be there too. Perhaps he shouldn’t get so flustered.

“I’d love to. It sounds like a lot of fun.”

Stargazing with Rin was already something to be excited about, but when she was able to invite Tsuna and Lily along, Hanayo could already tell this would be fun! Now she just had to find them…

“Ah! There you are, I’ve been looking for you! I need to ask you something…”

Tsuna had become much more relaxed and happier since Hanayo had come back. It wasn’t too hard to notice- in fact Rika seemed to have picked up on it easily. Just as soon as the idol came this way, he gave her a big smile.

“Hey, Hanayo. What is it?”

Waking up on a familiar beach wasn’t something Hanayo had expected to be faced with ever again.

She’d remembered waking up here once– maybe twice?– and knew this meant nothing else than that she’d returned to Solitude.

How much had changed, she wondered?

“… I can’t say I like waking up soaked every time I wind up here…”

The name had reappeared on the bulletin board again- and honestly, the moment it had, Tsuna had rushed towards the beach to search for her. The last time they had met, they hadn’t remembered each other, but surely if he remembered this time, she would too, right?

God, he had missed her so much.

“Hanayo!”

Taking note of her figure on the beach, he ran all the faster towards her.

“You’re back!”

Rika stopped in the middle of her actions at the controls, peeking out of the top hatch. Someone just shouted her name, right? Better land and make sure.

With a small thud, the tank would land safely on the ground, and the mechanic would look out again to see who had called for her. “Oh, hey Tsuna.”

As the tank descended towards the ground, Tsuna jumped back with a loud “EEK-!”. Of course, her reaction was much more casual than his own. It usually was.

“What do you mean ‘oh hey’?! Why are you flying a giant tank?!”

Given Solitude’s past happenings, he could only see terrible things for their future with something like this around. If someone else got their hands on it, they’d probably all lose their homes again.

      “Tsuna, what a lovely name.” Amodan happily followed, and kept looking this person over; he was almost sure that this Tsuna was hiding something, and he wanted more than anything to find out what. “So, am I to assume that everyone is placed in houses by the heads of the island?” Amodan abandoned his prying notions for now–he was still curious about Solitude.

“Aha, thanks.” Tsuna responded with an awkward smile as he led the way towards the bulletin board. It still bothered him, this thought that something was wrong here, but... Maybe it was just his imagination, and not his Vongola intuition? “Yeah. The ones who brought us here assign everyone to a house, with certain roommates... but I think the new homes usually only house two people.”

“RIKA!”

Why does Rika have to be a tank engineer?! Why does his roommate have to create giant, flying war machines?!

“Ohhh~ A girl, huh? Perhaps… A girlfriend?” She gave a knowing smirk, moving closer to him to nidge him gently with her shoulder, “It’s ok, I won’t tell her… Hehe~”

Camilla gave a look over the dresses. If she’s right, this girl probably enjoyed being free with her movement, so she’d probably like something that could tear and wouldn’t be bothered by it…

“Perhaps you should try looking for something more laid back? These dresses are far too fancy for someone who prefers clothes to be worn out… What is she into exactly?”

“Eh? That’s not it at all. She’s just a friend.” Oh, what was the point? In this situation, it probably did make sense to assume that anyway, even if it wasn’t true. If she was dead set in that belief, he probably couldn’t convince her otherwise, and it didn’t hurt too much as long as she didn’t say anything to Rika. Then it would hurt everything, especially his face when she punched him.

“Do you think so? Hm.... Normally, she just wears button up shirts and khaki pants because she works in most of what she wears. I rarely see her wear anything else unless she’s in a special mood.”
