Ciero: Yes, Barney?

Barney: I saw your husband at my house on Friday!

[Ciero thinks for a moment]

Ciero: your house?

Barney: yep! And he was REALLY happy! My mom talked to him, and he got happy. Then, he went upstairs with someone and I-I had to go to bed.

Ciero: aw,that's too bad. Uh... who was he with?

Barney: I don't know.

Ciero: Well, who did they look like?

Barney: they looked like you.

Ciero, red in the face: O-oh... they did?

[Barney nods. Ciero realises what has happened]

Ciero: ...your mother owns the Riverside Hotel, doesn't she?

Barney: uh-huh.

Ciero: alright, dear... tell your mother that Patrick says thanks for the room for the night.

what do the kids think of Patrick? Have any of Ciero’s brothers come in to help out? What do the kids think of them (Zephyr & co.)?

Oh, the kids in Ciero's class all love Patrick. He's a fun guy, and he helps out when Ciero has drama class planned. He helps them learn how to act and tell stories.

As for the Windroe bros...

Octavian came to help set up stuff for sports day. Zephyr gave a big talk on maths and money (where only one kid fell asleep on the desk!). Favio spoke about the art industry and fashion - and about lizards and reptiles. Also, Jack G came to give a hand talking about food and healthy eating.

what are parent-teacher conferences/parents’ evenings like? does Ciero find them stressful at all, or does she find herself having to stop herself from talking for hours about one (1) child and their progress? lolz

Ciero really enjoys her parent-teacher meetings, because it gives her time to explain the work to parents. They normally write down what they want to say/tell to parents so that they don’t spend ages nattering on and mactually stay on topic.

Usually, they’ll sit in the classroom at a desk while the kid either sits outside the class, or in the room beside them (depending on subject matter).

is Max ADHD, or is she just feral/hyperactive?

She's just like that, lol.

is Jason dyslexic/dyspraxic? if so, how can/does Ciero help?

He IS dyslexic!

Jason has Primary Phonological dyslexia! He also has dysgraphia.

His parents found out when they read a story to him and put pink elephants in it, so they could see if he was actually reading it along, or if he was just copying them (that's actually how my grandma found out my uncle has dyslexia!).

Ciero helps by breaking up passages in reading. They're usually 2-4 sentences long. He also allows kids to highlight information (numbers in word problems) to help. Also, Jason has an overlay for his paper, so he can make it out.

There are also readings of books she plays, so the kids can listen along with books if they need help.

Paper with different colours also helps.

how does she like to decorate the classroom! :D

Ciero has a lot of pastel colours in her classroom, and artwork on the walls.

She has a book corner with stuffed animals the kids can play in during free time.

Also, there is a stationary pot on every desk for the kids to use.

She has a lot of labelled drawers.

Six little chicks cheeped away in their incubator, huddled up together as such a brood would.

Yet, stood above them all on top of one of their enrichment toys, was Quacktain Jack Sparrow - the best duckling pirate in existence.

"They're quite happy here," Ciero explained. "We have Bucky and Clucky, Jester and Lester and Fester, and Margaret."

Ciero paused. "Of course, most of them will be going back to the farm soon. There is just one they're not quite willing to accept as of yet."

Quack Sparrow quacked happily amongst his siblings, unaware of the fate that would befall her.

what are some of the multiple excuses stories of how TJ accidentally headbutted a window?

1) Quack Sparrow told him to.

2) He saw a moth and had to evacuate the premises (an explanation I understand).

3) He was bored.

4) Aliens told him to.

have any of the kids done anything funny? :0

One time, Mia got annoyed with TJ for some reason, and so she closed her eyes. She signed and mouthed "I can't hear you" so that he would know she didn’t want to talk.

TJ accidentally headbutted a window once. Don't ask how, it's a different story every time.

The twins once tried to pull a parent trap on Ciero, so they could sit in different seats. As in, the fraternal twins - Vincent and Victoria

Jason! ooo what’s he like in class? headcanons, please! :]

Jason is a very hard working student. 

He is one of the kids that tends to get tasks and tests finished before everyone else.

So Ciero gave him a notebook where he can do his own busy work when this happens. He can come up with tricky sums and work them out by himself. And if he can’t, then he can wait for some free time and work them out with Ciero then. 

Jason has a bit of difficulty with things like reading and art, but flourishes with more scientific and mathematical tasks. Ciero has come up with multiple ways to help with this. She’ll read any passages for English aloud, so the kids can hear them. 

Also, coloured layovers and paper tend to help him with his reading, so all of Jason’s worksheets are in a fun colour (I mean, he does that anyway, but...). 

Jason’s best friends in class are probably Mia and TJ because the three of them make a fun clique. Jason is the smart, cautious one, while TJ and Mia are full of energy and constantly on the go. It balances out.

He wants to be a physicist one day, like his dad was before he passed away. He and his brothers all idolise their dad (Arthur), but their papa (Scott) is also there for them as well. He’s a doctor!

Ciero: Oh! Are you setting up an appointment?

[Mia shakes her head]

TJ: I'm being tried by the board of ethics.
