"we just started, bro," Manon groaned, kicking her leg away that somehow ended up draped over her lap, "you're just saying that because you've lost past three rounds."
"it was two, and no, I'm actually bored out of my mind." Megan insisted sitting up, "we're not kids anymore, let's play something more fun, oh, like Truth or dare!"

You chuckled, standing up from your spot on the couch and scooting next to Lara.
"seriously? We're actually playing it?" Sophia groaned out, rolling her eyes.

The game flowed after that, there were questions that caused arguments here and there, but also caused Lara to cackle loudly.

"ooh, I like this question," Lara smirked, everyone turning to you in curiosity.

"yeah, me too," your eyes zeroed on Sophia's figure, who, might've felt a gaze on her and looked up, her eyes locking with yours.
"I think I should go," she choked out, scrambling to her feet, "I just remembered I have some books to turn in the library."
"so suddenly?" Megan furrowed her eyebrows, "then I guess we'll come too."

You cut off Sophia, "no, you guys should stay, I'll just walk my guest to the door."

You didn't let her finish, just started walking towards the door, making her sigh in defeat.
She quickly walked up to the door, bending down to put on her shoes.
"I hope you know that just because I act nice towards you, I forgot what you did, or that I forgive you."
She halted her movements for a second, before slowly straightening up, "I know," she breathed out and walked out the door, shutting it behind her quietly.
You stared at the door for a few seconds, before Lara called you back towards them, breaking your train of thoughts.
