objective: To create an engaging type-based one minute animation for Pogo’s Wizard of Oz. (Unfinished Remix)

For this animation, I researched different techniques and styles to get a sense of what can be done with animation. I then created a concept to match the song: a book come to life. I focused on how typography could help to enhance and further communicate. From there I introduced a healthy mix of cut-outs and typography to add dimension to the animation.

Once the concept had been smoothed out I created storyboards and began the process of creating a stop-animation.

The animation itself is meant have a whimsical feeling to it. It is not serious, but lighthearted, playful and witty while keeping the typography at the forefront.

The visual system I am developing:

This is povera. This povera is fresh, creating and slightly wacky. This povera is friendly institution that focuses on a wide variety of arts.

Second week of povera applications. Here i changed the logo's and updated the visual systems to really represent the three distinct personalities I wanted to explore with this institution.

Initial applications for all three povera's. Each povera ranged in spontaneity, creativity, seriousness as I wanted to explore the different faces that the company could have and which one would make a greater impact visually and philosophically.
