Jeanette MacDonald - The Love Parade 1929
Buster Keaton - Our Hospitality (1923)
My favorite Keaton film. Dramatic, heroic, smart John McKay, authentically understated, beautifully filmed #elginlessley and historical verisimilitude. Just a damn good show. Of course Keaton is hot as heck too doesnt hurt….

Claudette Colbert in costume as Cleopatra (Cecil B. DeMille, 1934), perhaps the last pre-Code film to be released before Hollywood censorship was rigidly imposed that same year. It’s sexy and beautiful, with art deco-inspired sets by Hans Dreier and costumes by Travis Banton.
