Wong donated the gown to The Brooklyn Museum in 1956, wich later was transferred to The Costume institute at The Met.

Hollywood's original "It" girl Clara Bow in the Paramount Pictures/Dorothy Arzner pre-code comedy drama The Wild Party, 1929. After a number of years starring in silent movies, this was Bow's first "talkie". The flapper costumes in the film were designed by Travis Banton.
