thinking about Dark Side of the Moon bc of 4th of july and all the edits i’m seeing on tiktok, and it devastates me how dean’s one happiest, greatest moment was with sam. their relationship was so strained after ruby and lucifer and the literal apocalypse but dean’s most cherished memory, his heaven, was still with sam and sam only.
we see mary in his heaven too, but it’s a moment where he, as a 4 year old, (even younger, actually, bc sam was yet to be born) had to comfort his mother after a fight with his father. him cleaning up after john’s mess, as sam put it. it was a cherished memory of his mom and it was still haunted by all things john.
in contrast, his heaven with sam is a pure, child-like memory of the one time he got to be kids with his brother.
his greatest hit was a memory of sam, laughing, running, being a normal kid for once.
