@cinq7
tbh i just want someone i could cuddle with all night long watching old disney movies
just a simple girl with a highly detailed and romanticized infatuation with the future that haunts her at night also shopping online
y’all saying BLM for one situation just don’t sit right with me, it goes beyond police brutality!!! it’s Black women dying at a higher rate during childbirth. it’s Black people being exposed to COVID-19 at a higher rate. it’s Black people being forced into low income communities. it's Black people being denied job opportunities due to the name on their applications. it's Black people being denied into higher institutions despite having the same qualifications as their non-Black counterparts. it's Black people having their creations and ideas stolen without being given credit simply because a good percentage of society still believes in 2020 that Black people are not creative enough or smart enough or skilled enough. this isn't just about police brutality. this is deeper than that.
i pray you heal from things no one ever apologized for
the relationship women have with their own reflection…beyond complex
Things I learnt while struggling with mental health (I still do):
Showers are for any time of day, not just early morning or evening.
A sink wash/using baby wipes is better than no wash.
Some food is better than no food.
Unhealthy food is better than no food. Unhealthy food still has nutritional value.
Even if all I eat in a day is crisps, that's still something.
Every action is an achievement. Yes, this means breathing. Even if you didn't make it out of bed, move or open your eyes, you breathed, and that's good.
Going on your phone is not a waste of time.
Water comes in many forms. Squash, tea, coffee, pasta, fizzy drinks, fruit... hell, even hot chocolate sometimes. Not drinking plain water doesn't have to be the end of the world.
Cleaning up after a bad episode of mental health might seem daunting but it will probably help in the long run. Even if you just pick up one chocolate wrapper or put one item away, it will be an achievement.
If things are becoming too overwhelming, it's okay to step back from whatever you're doing.
Productivity is a stupid construct. You are still worthy and valid if you're not productive.
Everyone has it worse somewhere, but that doesn't diminish your struggles or make them less important.
People who make fun of your mental health struggles are fucking stupid. If you don't have to interact with them, don't.
"Friends" who invalidate your struggles are not friends.
There are people all around the world who would love to see you thrive and be happy.
It's ok to not follow through on something you said you would do because of mental health problems. Commitments are not commitments when you have to take care of your health.
You are not crazy.
You are loved.
You are valued.
tips for how to live a kind life
1) don’t say mean things about people, behind their backs or to their face. it’s not cool to be inconsiderate of others’ feelings. ignore people who want you to participate in talking badly about others, even if you are not fond of that person.
2) speak gently with a full heart.
3) be perceptive of others’ trauma, daily struggles, disabilities, and insecurities.
4) treat animals with tender respect.
5) don’t act out irrationaly towards the people you love. before you lash out, think about the consequences towards their feelings that would follow.
6) always remember that the positive energy you put out will come back to you.
i want it to be October/Halloween so bad. My soul craves crisp fall days, pumpkin carving and apple cider.
contrary to popular belief, what men think of you is honestly like the least important thing ever lol
