Im fucking laughing 😂
Y'all really think stealing from a bad corp is any different than stealing from a bad person? They’re both shit, and they both deserve nothing, but keep defending racist, ableist, queerphobes 😂
The Lift-Witch complete and comprehensive guide on how to lift without a magnet or hook
Different tags can be removed different ways, some of which I won’t go into to here only because I want these tips to be as general as possible in order to be helpful to more people. These tips will work on every tag I’ve ever encountered except 2alarm or 3alarm tags which are the physical embodiment of the devil.
These techniques are tried and tested personally by me, my favourite and most foolproof techniques are marked with an asterisk(*).
Do not read this expecting some miracle technique, this is all just common sense. Also do not try these all in one go, work on each technique one by one and polish your skills to avoid getting cocky or sloppy.
Sus= suspicious, getting caught or being close “Don’t act sus” “security looked super sus” “I hope they don’t sus me out” “I think my mum has sussed out where all these new things are coming from”
*IMPORTANT INFO TO REMEMBER BEFORE DETAGGING* 1. Never detag on the shop floor, take items into the changing room and detag and conceal in your bag or under clothes in there. Sneak items into the changing room unseen by: - slipping items into your bag or pockets or down the front of your trousers or bra in a blindspot (an area where you cannot be seen by cameras, be sure that no staff or customers can see you either) - dumping an open, mostly empty shopping bag below a rail of clothes then subtlety dropping clothes on the hanger into the bag in a blindspot (this one requires super awareness of who can and can’t see you behind your back, very dangerous and not for rookies) when you then pick up this bag be sure to cover the opening of it with your jacket or clothes which you wish to take into the changing room - slipping small items into the pockets of a coat or pair of jeans that you’ll then take into the changing room (stick to things like small wallets and jewellery that are found within or near the clothing section, it will look weird if you are carrying a big coat around the electronics) - *hanging more than one item on a hanger is the easiest and most fool proof way of getting items into the changing room to detag. Grab something chunky and something long, like a floaty dress and and a chunky cardigan or jacket, then hang what ever you want on the neckline of one of the items, you can also hang things on the back loops of jeans, the loop sometimes found on the inside of jacket or a looped label. A few things to watch out for: jackets may fall off the hanger due to the extra weight and reveal your concealment, and make you look nervous and sus, you can avoid this by closing up the jacket, this will also hide the item hung on the jackets loop far better. And make sure to pass a mirror before entering the changing rooms to check if you have any hangers sticking out and hold something against yourself as if you’re checking to make sure it suits you so you don’t look sus. Also if the fitting room attendant takes the items off of you and find the double hung items you can just act dumb and say “oh I knew I had more items” “oops sorry I forgot I was making an outfit” it sounds out of the ordinary but it’s never not worked for me. 2. Some paper tags and barcode stickers have RFID tags hidden inside, these can be deactivated by making a tear which ruins the electronic signal, but I prefer to be leave these behind inside the pockets of jeans or a coat. 3. Always take a pair of jeans or a coat with lots of pockets I to the changing room to hide all your tags in, I find a coat is best because you can hang hangers inside to make more space inside your bag which looks less sus and leaves more room for more stolen goods. A coat isn’t always available though or looks sus in the summer but jeans are stocked year round so is a safe bet. Always remember to take anything that you left tags inside back out to the shop floor and dump somewhere messy in the store or back where you found it, never give it to the changing room attendant! If they find the tags it will be almost impossible to talk your way out of it. 4. Ink tags are not there as a deterrent, they are never fake and do contain ink that will stain your skin and your clothes if it is broken open and it will break open if you are too rough and you will be caught for sure. You need to be super careful with ink tags, super super careful. 5. Do not over stuff your bags, you might as well write “shoplifter” across your forehead in day glow glitter if you’re gonna walk around with a over stuffed bag.
Okay detagging techniques: 1. *Yank the tag, just yank it. Pull the fabric taut and yank the tag itself firmly until there is a rip in the fabric big enough to pull the tag through. Be careful not to pull too hard and make a big, suspicious noise and a big ugly hole. With ink tags you’re better to hold the tag at the edge, and yank softly but firmly, if you keep your hands on the sides it shouldn’t break. 2. Using a seam ripper to make a hole big enough to pull the tag through, get the seam ripper as close to the pin that hold the tag on the garment as possible and dig the point I to the hole made by the pin and push forward softly to rip the fabric. A seam ripper is a tiny metal tool, sort of like a two pronged fork with a razor between the prongs, it is used for ripping out bad seams believe it or not but works just as well on fabrics. Keep your seam ripper inside a small sowing kit inside your bag so that if you get searched you can say you just carry it as part of the kit in case of a wardrobe malfunction, this will get you a far more lenient punishment than if you were caught with the seam ripper on its own. You can find these in any haberdashers and most craft stores. 3. A small pair of nail scissors is also good for digging at the hole made by the pin to make a big enough gap for the tag to come through. Again carry it inside a small nail care kit with nail files and polish and things so you cannot be charged with “going equipped” to steal. 4. A craft knife does the same job but if you are found carrying these around it could look super weird so I’d suggest not carrying these or cutting a small slit in the lining of your handbag and slipping it in there. 5. Plant clippers or socateurs with a thin set of blades will easily cut through tag pins and wires but make a loud sus sound when they snip and could get you caught. Also are much harder to explain or hide than a craft knife, I’d suggest hiding in the handbag lining and only carry them if you truly 100% need them.
Hiding your tags DO NOT LEAVE THEM BEHIND IN THE CHANGING ROOM this is how most shoplifters got caught when I worked in retail. You must hide them and there are a few ways to do this: 1. Take the tags with you and hide them in the pockets of jackets and jeans as you walk about, this is super dangerous and should only be done if the other three methods are impossible. 2. *Hide tags inside the pockets of a jacket or pair of jeans or anything with pockets that you brought into the changing room with you, when you leave do not give the item with hidden tags to the changing room attendant, take it with you and out it so wwheres messy or back where you found it so that the tags will not be found until you are long gone. 3. Tape tags to the bottom of the changing room stool, be careful because the tape might make noise when you peel it and the tag could be found as you leave, fairly risky. 4. If the changing room dividers are thick enough you can reach up and set the tag on top of it. I have been back to shops I did this to a year ago and the tags are still there covered in dust ahahah be careful not to drop the tags I to other changing rooms or too near the door where someone might see your hand.
NOW PLEASE FOR MY SANITY STOP WITH THE ROOKIE ASS QUESTIONS
If I missed anything out feel free to add relevant and informative tips, no falsies please xxx
This is one thing I do with “extra” hangers, hook them in the tag, walk out with it put back some other things, then leave the one with the hangers somewhere inconspicuous. It won’t be found until you’re long gone. Just make sure that the item is big enough to hide the ends poking through.
For PANTS hangers, I like to turn the hanger upside down and clip each end onto either pocket lining so that is on the inside of the pants. Works like a charm.
niceee tips

guysss just lifted a ton of essential oils and vitamins! please do this and take care of yourself :)
my secret toner is a diy apple cider toner + a few drops of tea tree oil.
literally if i even see a red spot (a pimple about to form) on my face, i use this toner for two days, red spot gone, pimple eliminated
here babes:
1 part pure organic apple cider vinegar (from the mother) 1 part organic rosewater 3 parts distilled water (fuck it, if organic water exists, get it) 1 tablespoon 100% pure organic aloe vera gel (proportions for this aren’t too important because.. who cares if you have a little extra aloe vera that shit is GOOD FOR YOUR SKIN) few drops pure organic lavender essential oil few drops pure organic tea tree essential oil
you don’t need a TON of essential oil - it’s very potent. i have a fairly large-ish container so i use 5 each.
everything is pure organic because we are extra ~lifters~
Lmao
my blog has been blessed by lifting grandad
Good Lifting Cover!!
Okay so I was thinking about this earlier and the smartest thing to do is to dress like you work at the mall!! Find a store and dress how they dress.. hell even grab a name tag if you can get one. Now you have a good cover. You are just wasting time before you have to go In or before you break is over. You have a perfect reason not to buy anything, or not to really be looking in the first place.
I just notice that if I see someone who works in the mall I don’t even give them a second glance. I just let them pass their time. Like a say hello, share a little inside ‘oh you have to work today too’ then off they go. That’s it.
Someone try this and let me know what happened!!!
this is a great idea!!!! i still have my lanyard from a retail company i briefly worked at who does not have a dress code. i’ll wear my lanyard out today and see how it goes!!!
i forgot to report back on this bc i had a busy af day. i only went to 2 stores w/ it BUT literally not a single SA tried to cs me. nobody even gave me a second glance. AND ITS A GOOD WAY TO GET INFO FROM TALKATIVE SA’S. only one person spoke to me and all she did was ask me if we had been super busy bc they had been swamped. she said their manager was out of town and they didn’t have a replacement so everything was going to shit. AT THIS STORE ONLY MANAGERS WATCH CAMERAS so i knew i was good. btw, this was a few mins after walking into the store. i hadn’t concealed or even picked up anything yet. she didn’t even look in my direction (nobody did) after that 2 min convo so she definitely wasn’t trying to set me up. retail workers complain to other retail workers!!!!!
moral of the story: i would definitely try this if possible
attention!
calling all active lifters! if u see this post pls reblog! im trying to find more active people to talk to and swap stories and tips with because everyone i seem to be following seems to be deactivated.
Scanned reddit today… THIS IS A TON OF SHIT FROM THE LP REDDIT
READ ALL THIS These aren’t all from one post tho it’s just a lot of shit on what they look for and how they act and such
My DT*R has no tags on anything & all the men in their drool over "cute girls that are into shoes". Little do they know I'm a "cute girl that is also gay and coming to rob their heterosexual asses blind"
tips from a former dsw employee
• you gotta be chill. if the sa swings by (which is required of them, chat up everyone in the section) speak with them briefly, even just the niceties. ignoring them tips off.
• unless it’s peak days (fri - sun) there’s generally only one person per section, except for clearance they usually have 2. men’s shoes&athletics are usually one section. then whatever’s the seasonal shoe (boots, sandals, etc). then regular stock (keds, sketchers, vans, comfy stuff) and women’s dress shoes. accessories generally are manned by anyone who happens to see someone in the section
• there’s generally an MOD and then another one of the managers will be floating around too.
• we definitely use those walkies to talk about suspicious characters.
•there aren’t many cameras, but they are there. cash wrap, hall to the bathroom, and one of the clearance corners are the ones i can remember rn from my store.
• i’ve seen a lot of people say to go to the clearance section to lift - i don’t recommend it. we’re trained to service the crap out of people back there because WE KNOW that’s where ya go!
• most athletic shoes are tagged, as well as our high end heels and “prom” shoes
• best way to lift, be the great customer. try on 4 or 5 pairs of shoes. pull the paper out try them on completely. have the boxes spread around you. when there are no other customers in the aisle & no sa’s, slip the pair you want into your bag. then clean everything up and put the boxes back approximately where they should be. if everything is left out, we’re gonna remember that bitch who made a massive mess.
• pro tip: put one of the smokescreen pairs on hold under a fake name. then you look way less suspicious.
• more often than not, if a column of boxes looks tidy, we don’t mess with it. closing is on a tight schedule and the stores are BIG.
• the sa’s aren’t allowed to confront you or accuse you. all we can do is call the police/mall security and try and keep you in the store.
•will add more to this as i’m remembering it
teach me how to boost
any tips on boosting? my son and i are living hella lean, even now that i lift all our clothes and most extra things. i need money for christmas, or else he’s just gonna get books i can lift cause i can fit toys in my purse 🙄 i’m so tired on being heinously poor
This is what’s worked for me so far:
- Better Than Sex Mascara (waterproof) sells really really fast, and they’re small enough you can probably grab 5-10 in one go if you’re careful/not being watched.
- Instax film (found at staples, Walmart, Michael’s, etc) sells pretty good imo. I sell a ten-photo pack for about ~8$-9$, and the twenty-photo packs for about ~14$-16$ apiece, and I sell them in packs, like 3-5 ten-photo packs and 2-4 twenty-photo packs.
- instax cameras (toys r us, and Best Buy if you’re really really lucky). They sell fast and at good prices, between 45$-55$ (if you get a really rare color, like somehow manage to snag one of the pastel ones from michaels, I could see it selling for like 55$-60$), but it’s best to have a structured purse for lifting those. The ones at toys r us aren’t tagged (at least the few locations I’ve been to they haven’t been) but def check over any from Best Buy.
- Newer high end makeup palettes sell pretty well too. And I’m sure limited edition makeup will sell very well a few months after they go off the shelf.
- copics (Michael’s or hobby lobby possibly) sell very good, only sometimes - I think for these try to sell them towards the beginning of school semesters and around Christmas time. But you can sell them for high prices, I sell mine for about ~5$-6$ a market, so like 20 markers is at least 100$ in profit.
Some other things to boost I’ve heard of but haven’t tried yet:
- high end wallets and purses (fossil/Kate spade/Michael kors etc)
- higher end art supplies (I’m guessing this means like oil/acrylic paints and good quality brushes and selling them in sets - again this’d probably be good more towards the start of semesters/around Christmas)
- Pokémon cards ? Like I guess there’s some rare cards out there so if you lift a whole bunch of packs and find the rare ones you could sell them ? Not sure on the specifics 😂
- north face jackets
- Calvin Klein clothing (this and north face can be found at TJ Maxx, they usually have hook tags or gator tags.. unfortunately all the ones around me have gator tags, and their dressing rooms are watched over pretty well)
- maybe lipstick queen ? They’re small, rarely tagged, so you could grab a whole bunch at once and sell them either piece by piece or in small lots. I’ve wanted to try this but haven’t yet.
- also, this is just an idea but like maybe manga sets ?? If you work and manage to get all the volumes of a popular newer manga series you could prolly sell it for a pretty good amount. Manga books usually sells for about 7$-10$, so if it’s a series of ten books, and you sell them for 5$ apiece you’d make around 50$…. might not be anything, but this is just another thought I’ve had but haven’t tried yet.
For boosting, use mercari, Poshmark, depop, or eBay.
The one I use the most is mercari, it’s just the easiest for me to understand, plus it doesn’t go through PayPal (which I don’t like PayPal so it works for me 😊)
My car broke down so I had to buy a used car, my money situation is in the pit ATM, so I can totally understand - especially with Christmas so close… my kid is of course expecting toys and I’m like ?? Okay 👌 I’ll try my best lol. But Michael’s has like animal figurines (they’ve got dragons, dinosaurs, and like wolves and other animals), if your kid likes those! Some of them are pretty big (e.g. Can fit in a large purse). Toys r us has lots of untagged toys, but a lot of them are in packaging 😕 goodwill sometimes has good toy finds, and I’m pretty sure they’d be pretty easy.
Hopefully this is a lil helpful 😬 good luck boosting and getting Christmas presents!!
I’m new to boosting and this post is godliness 🙌🙌🙌
Lots of Sephora and Ulta eye creams and beauty products that start at like $100 boost very easily and are rather small. Shoes from Nike and Adidas sell rather well especially limited edition ones, headphones are very expensive and you can do walkouts from Apple Store and Target. Also baby stuff is pretty expensive
Silence is Key;
You DO NOT have to allow someone to check your purse or shopping bags or even the trunk of your car if they don’t have a warrant.
You DO NOT have to talk about or acknowledge anything you are being accused of without evidence.
You DO NOT have to admit to more than what they have evidence for if you are apprehended. If they think you stole ONE EYELINER don’t confess to the OTHER THREE PAIRS OF FAKE LASHES you have in your bag.
You DO NOT have to acknowledge an SA or LP if they do not physically pull you back/grab you/completely block you on your way out the door.
can't wait for the second back-to-school wave in september
crowded stores angry parents and hyperactive kids total chaos what a time to lift
all the carts and baskets will be called for so stuffing into your own bag won’t be so suspicious
the cameras will be useless and too full of people
extra displays out in isles create new blind spots
door monitors will be helpless to identify whoever sets off the towers
it’s a great time to lift
