So here's the situation. My landlord has issued me and my roommates and bill for "damages" to the house we were recently kicked out of via canceled lease. The lease keeps things nice and vague so decide the sketchy approach the landlord has taken is hard to dispute without actual legal council at this point, which would be more expensive than just sucking it up and paying the fee. At best, we were able to work it down a little bit above 1k, putting each of our shares at 1400$ with 21 days (November 30th). I am working just above minimum wage and CANNOT afford this kind of outside of the budget mass expense. I really didnt want to ask for help with this but my back is to the wall. I will not hold anyone to fight my battle, but I will ask for help because things are bad and i know people have been showing up to help those who need it. If nothing else, please pass this along and hopefully it will find the eyes of anyone who can help

I am working on figuring out a way out of this. I spoke with an advocate and I am waiting to hear from a precinct clerk about legal rights and options. I am going to put a hold on this while I do what I can to wiggle out from this BS

Every argument I made failed and I am still on the hook for that 1400... on top of that, so many other things have gone so wrong and I am feeling completely hopeless. Back to square one, I guess
