so, my headcanon is mokou post season 2, during part of her time in tokyo, goes to a retro cafe in jinbocho and sees a temporary exhibit with a certain awesome fish in it. needless to say she is hooked, and gets really into old movies. hence the doodle from before.
canonically i think shed like the monster movies, anything with morally conflicted baddies (they just like her frfr), and feesh.
this in particular is summer pajamas mokou, when its hot and the boyf and bestie call in 3 in the morning to ask you to settle an argument, and you got radio taiso at six, boys please let me rest just dont burn down otowakan please.

anyways i was on a long weekend trip and have been burnt out but when i saw the text that izous roleplay thing from white day is back something awakened in this little brain cell of mine. and theres a fic now.
warning for mild swearing, spoilers for the chaldenia event (current jp server event) kind of? and for me acting up bc the boy(tm) is bein cute. oh and warning for me being too silly and quoting ytp. this is like. i am the star it is me let me act up a little.
"No way, Izou," you breathed out in awe. "You're really back at it?"
If this amusement park, Chaldenia, wasn't surprising enough already. After all, you'd all spawned into it, not to mention two of the group, including Director Olga-Marie, had suddenly shrunk (and to your knowledge, there was absolutely no apotoxin involved this time). Apparently it had all been orchestrated by a goddess, you supposed that explained part of it. Maybe.
But the wonder that you felt when you laid eyes on Izou, sitting in a dimly-lit, well-worn room upon a shabby chair but with the air of a conqueror in his demeanor- that, no goddess could replicate.
In response, he just grinned. There it was, that infectious grin. A stray strand of light danced in his golden-colored eyes, like a fire smoldering somewhere deep in the dark. "Hey, that's 'port district gang leader' to you." His voice was harsh and testy, but his smile danced with mischief.
You stood there, your breath caught in your throat, and only the sound of childish giggles broke you from the trance. Oh, right. This was basically an escape room for the kids that were attending this amusement park. More accurately, it was a gang simulation. Hey, Chaldea was a weird place. Then again, maybe from your Servants' perspective, the theme parks you'd enjoyed, which abounded in things like ghost stories or crude-humored princesses, might be just as strange to them.
"So boss, what'cha want us to do with 'em?" It was Santa Jalter Lily, clearly having fun getting into the role speaking in a tough-guy voice. Her two friends Jack and Nursery Rhyme at her side watched as she imitated cracking her knuckles. You felt inclined to be mock scared- but not a bit of genuine fear, in spite of the fact that all three of these kids- especially the other two- could seriously hurt you if they wanted to.
"Eh, this one's not worth yer time. Go play somewhere else- I'll handle this myself." He stood up, and in spite of all this being a pretend-game, was so convincing you felt your heart flip-flop once again. He really was strong physically, and it showed especially with him wearing a suit rather than his usual loose kimono. You tried to look as politely as you could, taking in the form of his body as he rose, every menacing, ponderous footstep drawing closer to you. You did almost lose it when he cracked his neck and rolled his shoulders- especially with that disgusted-looking side eye.

As soon as the kids were well on their way, the frown dropped from Izou's lips. And only then did you feel able to breathe again.
"Sooo," he said, the mischief in his eyes even more readily apparent now, "how'd I do?"
"Izou…" You breathe out. "That was amazing! Brilliant!" Oh, you could kiss him right there on the spot. But you're still reeling a bit too much from that menacing glare and those growling sighs, so you settle for running forward instead.
He reaches out before you do, offering his hands for you to take. A small gesture- a considerate one that you appreciate so much. You grasp those gloved hands, squeezing them tight. His fingers in the cut-out gloves are calloused, but gently wrap around your hands.
"Not bad for the guy who was kicked outta a movie, eh?" He chuckles, but you detect a bit of bitter self-deprecation behind those flippant words.
"Kicked out?" You ask incredulously. "They didn't know what they were missing!" You look him dead in the eyes (well, one is obscured by his messy dark bangs but close enough) and drop your hold on his hands- only to instead pull him in for a hug. "You were brilliant then, and you're brilliant now." You mean every single word you say, and can't help having a slightly spicy kick to them. Yeah, you were still salty about that movie years ago too- the one where Izou had been brought in for just one scene, then proceeded to be shooed off the set in a manner you couldn't help but find disrespectful.
You hear him let out a sigh- a heavy one, as if it had been carrying all the self-doubt and old wounds within him. It makes you press him closer to you, squeezing your arms tight around him. He leans into it too, his stubble ruffling your face. He smells just a bit smoky- not tobacco, as he's been being around so many kids at this theme park.
"So, how'd they get you to reprise your role as the port district gang leader?" You ask him as the two of you walk over to the wall- he flips a switch and the lights brighten, revealing the dimly-lit room's tense boards and dirty windows to be fairly well-made paper ones, leading to just an image of a seaside and the small ambient music players of sea birds and dock sounds.
Izou gives a sigh, but smiles. "Lost all my cash on some, er,…"
"….gambling?" You tilt your head. You're the same way with crane games.
"I was gonna say 'bad investments', but eh," He shrugs with a smile.
"Potayto, potahto," you agree with a smile. "You aren't-" You start worriedly, but he cuts you off.
"Don'tcha be worryin' for me. Seems they didn't know what ta make of these sets, an' then those fellas from before reached out at just the right timing."
"Diarmuid and Yan Qing?"
"Yeah, those two. Anyways, all I gotta do is make this an interestin' experience for the kiddos, and my debts are all paid."
"That's… not so bad." You have to admit, it's better than how he's ended up in the past. Still, you can't help but feel cautious. Someone might have scammed him in the first place, after all.
"If ya…." He trails off, looking nervous. Completely different from before, when he was acting the part. His eyes dart to you, then away, and his fingers drum with a slight air of tension at the sword hilt on his belt. "If ya… don't have anythin' else ta do….."
"Would ya wanna….."
"Would I wanna?" You lean in, curiously. Your heart is beating quickly, and you can feel the blood rushing, but the last thing you want to do is make an assumption.
"Would ya wanna…. help me with this?" He finally says it, and his handsome eyes dart away with embarrassment. "If it's not too silly for ya, that is."
"Aw, Izou." You smile, reaching over for his hand once more and giving it a little squeeze when he accepts. "It's not silly. I think it's really awesome you're playing this part for the kids."
A little thought starts in your head. "But if /you/ don't mind silly…. I'm in! I can be that fellow from the youtube video!" You launch into an impression of the classic actor in the mashed-up parody confronting a certain sentient action figure in a Safeway.
"I'm gonna turn you into dog food! After I beat the crap out of you!" You quote the video, replaying it in your head. "And I'll piss in your Nesquik!"
"This ain't the one with those noisy elf chaps, is it? Or the fella who sells rope and bombs?" Izou asks cautiously.
"No, this is another one." Oh no, suddenly you feel embarrassed. This was getting pretty silly. "Sorry…. it's a bit much."
"Nah," Izou says, waving his hand. "I like it. Though, we both gotta keep the swearin' to a minimum, if ya can. For the kids."
"Oh, yeah! Of course!" You nod enthusiastically. "For the kids."
"Well," he says with a grin, looking even more confident and enticing than even before. He is very, /very/ good at playing a scoundrel. "Shall we tell the kiddos the good news?"

"Don't worry. That was all pretend," Jack stated bluntly to you when you made it outside to meet up with the trio. "None of us ever had real intentions to kill you."
"Uhh," you start, confused. "….thanks? I mean, thank you."
"Well, you looked so worried there before!" Nursery Rhyme chimed in, furrowing her brows behind fluffy bangs. "Back there after we left, we all talked after we left if it was really okay to leave you behind, being so scared as you were."
"Yeah," Santa Jalter Lily agreed, nodding earnestly. "You were shaking, and you kept clutching your hand over your face when Mr. Izou got close to you."
"Oh…" You say, catching on. Bless their hearts.
"I didn't think he was that scary, but I guess maybe adults think differently," the Lancer concluded with a satisfied nod.
Yeah, something like that, you think. Nobody tell them the truth.
"Oh no, we've brought back those scary thoughts," muttered Nursery Rhyme to her friends. No. You were probably just blushing.
"As expected of Mr. Izou," Jack stated bluntly, and with a cool kind of respect that made you happy to hear, even in spite of being so flustered.

the joke is since over two years ago in jp game time and even now in the english release sal has been. well now i dont know what people would call it that actually play the game. as a joke (and a jab lol) i always refer to it as "sent to the shadow realm". basically he (and the others) arent dead, but theyre kinda cut off as if they are from the rest of the story. hence the meme (that i make lol). do i like that plot point? heck to the no. not just for oshi reasons. i would not mince language and use much stronger words but -sighs dramatically- what ever. tl dr i dont hecking care abt that plot mostly and it def makes treblesal more bittersweet.
more on that i guess its interesting? yeah it does feel bittersweet. i honestly go back and forth in feelings tbh, sometimes i feel like more jilted-lover flavor, sometimes more "why did i give my heart to you only for it not to mean anything" or "you left me for another". but honestly none of those really stick in meaning. in feeling, yeah a bit, but not in the actual truth of the matter. its way weirder. honestly i cant think of a single other situation that reminds me of what happened. even in my multitude of new interests (coughs several times, shoots a look at the ever growing pile of classic films that are living rent free in my head, most of them uni versal horror)
anyways a very different film took my attention today, that being this year's conan! if anything brings me back its that. conan has always been mine and sal's thing. when i first met sal in game eight years ago, i was watching so much conan. and then when he had that movie event in like 2019 or whenver (i guess it wouldve been 2021 in the english version?) his ending was literally the moonlight sonata episode (or the movie hangover square, which i recent ish ly saw, thanks ricky kreiburg!). and even now. honestly im not much of a ghibli hug person but give me a freakin conan movie one love interest catching the other in their arms from an explosion or something while passionately and caringly screaming their name. maybe it only happened this year and last but i cant get enough of it, yes please.

I did it! I completed all of the Halloween cards!!! and just before Halloween too!
This really was the hardest of the cards to draw 😔 the patterns and detail where such a pain to draw, the patterns on the main body of the outfit even made it annoying for me to render the purple parts 😭
But its over now, all of them have been draw...

“You can’t both get the same thing! It’s a waste of Munny.” Donald squawked incredulously while standing on his chair, pointing a fork accusatorially between the two. Nyx shot Axel a surprised glance, her fork halfway up to her mouth. He was smiling, but the corner of his mouth was doing the little twitch she had come to realize was him literally biting back his annoyance.
“Now Donald, let the kids eat what they want.” Goofy grinned behind his cup of coffee as he admonished his partner. The duck let out a series of grumbling quacks and sat back down behind his meal.
The group was…ragtag, to say the least. Nyx didn’t particularly know either of the Kingsguard very well, but since the end of the Keyblade War, the pair had been visiting Twilight Town fairly often. With Sora still missing…She could see them obviously trying to keep themselves busy. Goofy had made it a habit to bring his son Max along to skate with Roxas and Xion, which in turn led to the “adults” of both groups occassionally getting dinner at the bistro.
Nyx finished taking her first bite of her heavily spiced food. It wasn’t her fault that she and Axel had similar tastes. She pointed her fork over at her lover. “If anything, blame him for being stereotypical. A fire wielder that likes spicy food? Come on.” She grinned through her harmless jab. Axel rolled his eyes.
“EXCUSE you, it means that I have a reason to enjoy spicy food. I’m convinced you’re the crazy one for eating it all by yourself.”
While they had a few differences in taste - especially when it came to textures - Axel and Nyx both tended towards the same things. Strong flavors, be it spicy, sweet, salty, bitter. They both loved them all. The couple didn’t mind that this meant having duplicates of leftovers - it just meant more deliciousness for future them.
Goofy let out a well meaning “A-Hyuck” between sips of his coffee while Donald continued to gripe about “kids these days”. Nyx reached over between bites and gave Axel a gentle squeeze to his knee. It was a blessing, really, that these were the “issues” that they now filled their days with.
honestly i am so hyped for more lore on this essence (fingers crossed that its good!!!!!) and i rlly love it aesthetic-wise, but.... ofc i am going to make memes~
i think ive actually been affected physically negatively by this stuff in -go. just. like the absolute worst that could happen to one of my faves happened, and happened, and happened. and not to mention a lot of fan reaction is so one sided in support that it just makes me feel like how im feeling is ridiculous.
imean. the game wants you to think that "the a vengers are beyond loving/beyond saving because they are violent and will kill everyone indiscriminately" but like. half the characters in the game are literally a joke, or there bc like "the grail says so idk". and even some of them we see like. moving on with their lives and trying to find stability. lobo wants to do un-wolflike things bc his living life as a wolf has ended (like eating chocolate), not to mention meeting others in similar situations (like enk idu). and dont heckin get me started on sal. yes hes got single minded homicidal tendencies at one guy but its literally only at that one guy, and he constantly denies himself like. any human decency to protect the memory of the person he's a fabrication abt. like if this isnt selfless and kind idk what is.
i think every person is different. everyones brains work in different ways, and hearts too. there is no one who "shouldnt be loved". even someone who was "made to be unloved" can find someone, somewhere someday, who will love them. fuck that shit.
anyways ive been stressed and feeling awful physically for the weekend but sal stayed up in the game (aka the game window didnt close) and honestly that touched me. i dont deserve him but i am grateful for him so much.
shout-out to selfshippers who can't stand seeing their f/os get hurt, even if it's very canon-typical for them. especially when it's canon typical for them!! it's so valid for you to feel bad when you see them in pain and it's totally okay to even feel sad about it. they're your beloved so obviously so you'll want them to be alright
go patch you beloved back up or do anything they need to feel better again!! clean their wounds, wrap them up, kiss their boo-boos, make them something to eat or drink if they need it, just let them rest while you take care of everything else and promise them you'll always be there for them!! they appreciate what you do for them so much and you make them feel so loved and safe :3
