I'm a different anon but, that friend honestly sounds like one of those friends you kind of just have to 'ghost'. I don't think it would classify as a true ghosting though because it kinda sounds like they know that their "stances" on things are really just mimicking their surroundings imo.

It genuinely sounds like they either can't think for themselves OR they actually believe and agree with some of these things and trying to see how far you'll allow them to go. Idk if that makes sense but, that's kind of what my experience has been with the rise in political tensions across the US

you're right, and i'm already doing it. for starters, i don't interact with her daily anymore. and i don't send her any posts at all. but if she texts me, i respond. i'm gonna slowly stop doing that as well.

she's just very privileged. she doesn't have to worry about the government's current choices and actions because she won't be affected by them. she fully buys into the whole 'oh no the muslims are taking over and hinduism is under attack' propaganda, it's truly idiotic. but she will speak out (repost stories or parrot stuff she's read elsewhere) about how trash men are and how women are always at a disadvantage. but she isn't even an intersectional feminist. she'll call herself one but she rly isn't.

she doesn't think critically about anything. there's no point in trying to talk to her about these issues because she doesn't care. she has a victim mindset. she can never imagine herself or her family as the perpetrator.

i suppose these people are the same across borders lol

let me not even get started on the kind of men she interacts with and chooses to respond to. these are men that have 0 respect for women. and she'll send me the screenshots of their exchanges thinking i'll cheer her on like bitch omg block him B L O C K him. she 'fights' random men to look like she's doing something helpful but it's just entertaining to those men. it's so stupid. it's like idk omg their family is very religious and right wing. and this person cannot think of a reality where their parents are 'bad people.'

this person tells me they hate america and trump, men and our current government but they still send me posts that are made in defense of this government. and when i oppose them, they'll just agree and apologise for not being more aware. and the pattern repeats. sometimes i just don't have the energy to point out that they're fucking stupid so i just ignore them.

i'm in an awkward position idk they've never really argued w me or debated me on anything. they've shown me tiny signs of being receptive of criticism but then not really acknowledging that they're in the wrong?

i sent them paragraphs on paragraphs explaining how incorrect and hypocritical they were being. and literally nothing happened.

if someone spoke to me the way i spoke to them, i'd either unfollow/block or fight them back. this mf did neither. just played semantics and dodged any responsibility, then started sending me memes and shit thinking i'd drop it. (AND I DROPPED IT AFTER A BIT LIKE AN EVEN BIGGER IDIOT)

i feel like i need to have an actual confrontation to be able to actually let go of this person and they won't give me that.

this person is literally nothing like any of my other friends but idk why i feel like ican pull them out of this mess. i've invited them to a queer event later this year bec i know for a fact that they have not interacted with this community in a deeper way before and it'd really help them to be around these people. i dont have high hopes but idk man i just want to try

I’ve recently had to confront some family members for their comments and their thinking and oof it takes so much for me to not just borderline cast a spell on them 🐰

also i know omg our other friend (whom i discussed this with at length) says the same thing. but at this point, it's genuinely absolutely useless to explain anything to that friend. they're just too uninterested in actually educating themselves because they don't have to, bec none of this affects them. in fact it benefits people like them. they're so prone to propaganda it's embarrassing. like idk brother you're nearing your late 20s and you still don't have political knowledge? the ignorance is so humiliating for you. i can't bring myself to bring bts into it because it's useless. they never have anything to say to me back yk? it ALWAYS ends up being me yelling at them about something and they ignore it. and i look stupid. i don't think they'll even understand if i bring it up subtly or post about it on my story. it's frustrating as hell. i still have a bit of affection for this person because we've been close for nearly 6-7 years now. it sucks idk. i'm plenty mean and condescending too tho but if it doesn't even translate, wtf am i doing yk?

but to answer your question; we can already see that jungkook's lowkey jealous of even his closest friends interacting with oc sooooo you can only guess how crazy it'd drive him if oc goes for someone who blatantly resembles him.

although, jungkook (and oc tbh) doesn't think you can ever find anyone like him lol so while he'd be agitated, he also knows how down bad you are for him. and this might boost his ego in a way? to realise that you're lit looking for traces of him in other people just to experience him.
