It’s time everyone, it’s time we announce our final event. It’s been a long journey, thank to everyone whose participated in our beautiful project, whether you’ve been here since the beginning, are new or old, etc. We love all of you.

This final event is going to be considered your final exam, so make it worthwhile! here’s some background information about the finale:

A few months ago, one of the Dream Gods known as Aelius Ra was frozen in the sky after witnessing Reverie pull itself apart from the rifts to other dreams. Although temporarily frozen in time by Diakan, there was no chance that the impending doom in the sky would remain there, as they would have to wait for Aelius Ra’s other self to appear: Osiris Kho.

And now, Osiris Kho has made her grand stage debut with intentions of unfreezing her counterpart and also to destroy Reverie and the President. But our players could not stand to lose the sight of their home. After getting Osiris Kho and the President to stop their fight that could’ve potentially ended Reverie, Osiris Kho decided to allow the players and the President decide the fate of Reverie in one grand game that all Gods enjoy: The Battle Royale. After summoning an arena from the seas below Reverie, Osiris Kho has asked that the players bring out their strongest warriors with the strongest resolves to participate in a game for Reverie’s future. In this game, the Gods will witness those whose dreams are big and how hard they’ll fight for them. To the victor go the spoils!

That’s right everyone, Reverie’s final incident will be The Battle Royale event. And we’re not going to Tilted Towers today, boys. We’re going to the Sky Arena, an arena said to be once a Dream Bubble that fierce warriors battled on in their dreams.

At the very top, you’ll see the Overgrown Fare, at the bottom left, you’ll find the Arid Fortress, and at the bottom right, you’ll end up at the Thunder Hollow. And at the very center lies The Junction, where you’ll all be spawning at. There will be some power nerfs but you’ll also all obtain backpacks beforehand that’ll give you some supplies to start out with. A Google Sheets has been provided below with everything you need to know.

But be careful, there will be incidents that’ll occur across the battlefield to keep things interesting. And if you start camping, we’ll make sure to get you moving again. Once we get down to a smaller number of players too, certain islands may fall apart into the seas below. And eventually, it’ll just be a handful of people inside of The Junction.

The winner of this Battle Royale will determine Reverie’s future by showcasing their “resolve”. Their resolve could very well be “I want to save Reverie”, “I want peace for Reverie”, “I want to destroy Reverie”, etc. However, Osiris Kho will not only be paying attention to the battlefield, but the audience who will be watching the entire thing unfold at home. The audience will be able to chime in and send out “sponsorships” to the players on the battlefield if they believe in their resolve enough. The audience could be players who aren’t participating or mere NPCs. Their opinion matters just as much in the final decision, after all.

Because we’re all quite busy with our lives, the event will be cut into “sessions” in which characters will only be able to kill in certain periods. As such, these periods are:

Friday: 6pm-11pm EST

Saturday: 5pm-11pm EST

Sunday: 4pm-9pm EST

Any other time that isn’t this, characters will be able to move around, but cannot attack or hurt any other player. This is to keep the game balanced and accommodate for other member’s schedules.

Before I go into the information about our next incident, we have an announcement for everyone. The leadership team and I have already announced it in the server, but I’ll announce it here too. Reverie will be concluding it’s main campaign very soon at the beginning of next year. While we aren’t sure when the exact date will be, we are sure that it’ll be our biggest incident yet. Thank you to all members, past or new, for being with us on this long two year journey. 

After this, Reverie will become a sandbox server. Characters may continue to be apped and roleplayed within the setting, but there will no longer be a main campaign present in the story.

Now then... ahem...

CAUTION! ⚠ CAUTION! ⚠ CAUTION!

Every player knows by now that Reverie is falling apart from the inside out. So much so that the last incident involved the President using the players as her guinea pigs for her future colony that would soon replace the City of Reverie. But now, the players must now engage in this precursor to the true finale of Reverie, coming very soon.

Rifts and shreds of reality have begun to appear throughout the Dream Bubble of Reverie, so much so that reports are saying that other realms lie beyond them. Whether they are dreams or reality are completely subjective, but one thing is for sure, they are linked to the cognition of the dreamers that stand within the City of Reverie. In this next member-run incident, members will be preparing campaigns that’ll involve traveling to other worlds!

What lies ahead is up to you... But are you prepared for the inevitable?

This week-long event will allow players to go and temporarily return to their own worlds or explore other ones. What lies within these realities are completely up to you guys however, as you’ll be given one week to prepare miniature campaigns and will be throwing them up onto a Google Sheets (prepared and pinned in the #announcements channel). You’ll give a time, a genre, a description, etc. of the quests and will be given plenty of time to allow other players to walk through worlds of unknown. But be careful! Within them could potentially lie danger, and through danger, your lives and minds are at stake.

With that in mind, the players begin to explore these unknown realities, some excited to show their loved ones their homeworlds. While some go into others hoping to cause trouble. And within them, you might just learn a few things about the main cast of Reverie and the many players that have resided within the dark City of Reverie. This incident will allow you to explore places and regions you’ve never had a chance to till now. So make it count, as after this, the true finale of Reverie will begin.

Another event has descended upon us. But of course, what could possibly come next at this point? Reverie has been through literal hell and back with all of the latest incidents, facing nightmare after nightmare, wondering when their next big break is. And truthfully, it has been a long time coming, hasn’t it? The next incident will hopefully satisfy your ... vacationing needs.

Let’s start with some background information:

As we all know by now, Reverie itself is a dream. All of you are slumbering comfortably in your beds with your eyes tightly shut, sleeping peacefully while you face the nightmares of Reverie in your dreams. Hence, you do not die nor do you ever face the consequences of your actions. As time has gone on, the President has faced you all with many incidents, and those incidents have done nothing but create despair for the natives of Reverie and the players. Yet it seems a bit too unrealistic for the President to be just torturing people for her own amusement. True, she has said that everything in Reverie has been for a game, but some wonder what her true intentions are.

The President approached a group of players last week to discuss some... arrangements she had in mind for their future, asking for their last big favor, as they’ve done nothing but helped her thus far. While the players weren’t sure what she met by that, they decided to bend an ear. And thus, they learned that the President’s FINAL INCIDENT for them is to simply go somewhere and simply live for a short period of time.

Reverie itself is a Dream Bubble, located within the Dream World. Dream Bubbles are what we all enter when we have dreams at night. And sometimes, we go through multiple bubbles all in the very same night. However, in between the bubbles lies an entirely different world: The Dream World itself. And dreamers are not allowed to stay there for long. So, the President is simply curious: is it possible for those that are dreaming to survive in the Dream World?

Using the data she’s collected over the past year and her own brilliant ability to analyze and recreate anything, the President has created a city between the Dream Bubbles. And there, you will all be residing for a weekend for a simple test: will you survive by just existing between dreams?

The President requested that the players spread her message of packing their bags for a well-deserved vacation. Yet the players grow worried for any sort of incident created by the President. Nothing good can come out of this.

Either way, they have no choice in the matter. The President will be summoning all players to join her in a manmade city that lies between the Dream Bubbles: The Space Colony Reverie.

Due to the Dream World practically resembling space itself. You’ll all be residing there for a weekend. However, the President wasn’t lying on that it’ll be a relaxing vacation. You’ll find that the Space Colony Reverie is actually slightly reminiscent of the Capital of Reverie: with a glass ceiling that keeps you all inside, powernerfs, and futuristic technology alongside you, it feels incredibly uncanny. However, there are no NPCs, just holographic AIs wandering about and running the shops.

Within the space colony, all of you have been gifted a condo of your choosing. These condos can house several different people inside, so you may room with others if you so desire. When you enter the condo, the building itself changes to suit your needs based on research and cognition. So, you won’t ever have to worry about redecorating!

All of the condos exist alongside each other in a neighborhood, so your neighbors are quite literally next door. And they’ve given you all free access to the gym, spa, and pool if you so desire. But that’s not all, there’s an entire space colony to explore after all! 

With notable locations like:

#Artificial Plains: Manmade plains with forests, waterfalls, lakes, farmland, etc.

#Colony-Mall: A massive mall with every store imaginable inside.

#Whoa-Zone: A gaming arcade that features simulations. We’ll touch on this later!

#Colony-Resort: A resort with a massive manmade beach and ocean with a barside.

And much more...!

The Whoa Zone’s arcade is full of VR simulations and machinery!

And finally, if relaxing and just sitting around doesn’t seem fun enough! The main highlights of this event are the simulations within the Whoa Zone! The Whoa Zone is an arcade located within the center of the town with a few simulations for you all to try! These simulations are all games that you can play, relax, or enjoy with your fellow players. Here are the currently present simulations for you all to play:

REVERIEQUEST: An RPG-based simulation with many campaigns. It is based off of the Octopath event, but simplified.

MySimulation: A simulation that allows you to visit a place or scene from your memories. You cannot interact with anything though, only look and see. You may bring others with you if you so desire.

Laser Tag: A team-based Laser Tag simulation with three hardcore maps. Group up and defeat the other team!

Jackbox Party Pack: A simulation that transcends all dimensional borders. Available only on Saturday @ 11pm EST and Sunday @ 8pm EST.

Participating in any of these games will award you Karen Bucks, the currency of the Space Colony. You all start with 500 Karen Bucks that you must divide between your muses, so use them wisely! You may then go to the #Gift-Shop to redeem your Karen bucks for prizes! Simply purchase a Mystery Box and open it up to see what’s inside! You’ll roll a t!roll d100 and then open up the spreadsheet to see what you get! We’ll be using Unbelievabot to keep track of the currency!

CAUTION! ⚠ CAUTION! ⚠ CAUTION!

It’s time for the next Reverie incident! This month’s incident however... will determine the future for City of Reverie. But not in the way you’d think. You’ll see what I mean later on in the Phase 2 Finale. Think of this incident as setting the stage for the finale that’ll be happening in November. But for now, let’s focus on the current incident at hand, shall we?

Here’s a lil’ synopsis / background info you should know! (written by Candle)

A certain Player you may or may not have heard of at this point has sent Reverie into a spiral of total Chaos. Lilith (played by Candle) has confronted President Joseph (R4) about the state of Reverie, thinking everyone has just had a bit too much slack. In an effort to have a little fun and show the city what it means to truly live in Chaos, she's turned the tides in her favor. Lilith has created a Reverie where the governing powers that protect the citizens are gone, and no rules exist. Why? To make a point. Taking things for granted tends to go pretty badly, don't you think? 

If you're wondering how you can make a difference, it might be time to put your money where your mouth is. Surely, you can't just sit back and watch the people of Reverie suffer. After a couple days, you might begin to lose hope that things will ever return back to normal. To find a way to return Order to Reverie, someone must take a stand. And that's all of you! With the Revolution on your side, squashing Chaos might be your only way to turn Reverie back to its natural state of Entropy...

But there is always something lurking in the shadows. Can you trust the people you're allied with? Can you trust that that natural state of Entropy will be returned? What about those who enjoy the Chaos? What about Players who would prefer a world of Order, of quiet harmony within Reverie? Something about Reverie is sure to change, and this time... it might have a truly lasting effect on the world around you.

The event will take place over a course of four days where your goal will be to investigate this new Reverie and find ways to lessen the divide that is carving through the populace. You can gain reputation through quests, or sit back and watch the magic happen as days progress. Each day of the incident will represent a different state of Reverie:

Day 1 will be a world of Chaos.

Day 2 will be a world of Order.

Day 3 will be a world of Entropy (current Reverie).

Whether or not you act to tilt the scales for Chaos, Order, or Entropy is entirely optional, and entirely up to you! 

Regardless of what path you choose, the event will culminate into its finale (day 4), The Debate. During this debate, five representatives (six including their leader) will be chosen to debate on whether or not Reverie should slip into a state of Chaos, Order, or Entropy (where Entropy is Reverie's natural state). Whether or not the debate will be successful (exactly what does success mean in a place where no one can agree on anything?) is entirely up to the choices you make.

tl;dr: Reverie will have a day dedicated to Chaos, a day dedicated to Order, and a day dedicated to the normal Reverie (AKA Entropy). During these days, you must ‘collect your evidence’ by completing quests and gaining reputation before running into the debate for Reveris’ future.

As per usual, the quests are composed of all player-made quests, so feel free to throw all your chaotic characters in the Chaotic Quests and all of your strict orderly characters in the Order Quests. On the third day of Entropy, you’ll be able to tackle either, so don’t worry if you miss a day!

CAUTION! ⚠ CAUTION! ⚠ CAUTION!

And so, it is time for our monthly City of Reverie event. However, what is in store for us this time? I promised long ago that I’d take you guys to the moon, but I never specified how! Well, this is the event for it, I hope you guys’ll enjoy it!

Here is a little background summary for anyone who hasn’t read up:

Around this time, the University of Corporis has a tradition of holding a magical festival known as the Moon Festival each and every year. Celebrating their intimate connection and history with the moon itself. However, with the glass ceiling looming over their heads, the distance between them and the moon has become even greater... 

It is implied that each and every district within Reverie comes from a different era or world, as they all carry their own history and culture that separates them from each and every district. However, they all share one thing in common: they were at one time a sole island known as the island of Reverie. And as such, the newfound Phase 2 of Reverie has shaken up the roots that shaped each and every district. And the University of Corporis is no stranger to this, as they’ve noticed a significant dropout rate of students once Phase 2 began. Thus, they’re losing money fast and they’re becoming desperate to uphold the traditions they’ve kept for a millennium.

And this time, they’ve gotten a little too desperate, as this year’s Moon Festival will be sponsored and funded by the President herself. With full control over the festival, this year’s performance will be based on another story of the moon, but not one that you’d expect. Nothing good can come out of this.

At this years performance, she told the story of the Majora’s Mask. And suddenly, the people of Reverie gaze upwards to see the moon’s piercing gaze, awaiting to fall upon the floating island.

That said, let us discuss the incident!

The President has summoned the moon to crash right into the island of Reverie and it will descend upon the island within three days. The dragon gods have gone silent and the world is slowly falling into despair. For some of you, this story is quite familiar. You might recognize it as the N64 video game: The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask.

That’s right. Reverie’s next event will be inspired by Majora’s Mask. And you all need to save Reverie from it’s inevitable doom. However, without the Ocarina of Time, there is no room for mistakes or sitting around. You must awaken each of the four Dragon Gods from their slumber within heir respective temples across the four districts. To do this however, you must all complete all four temples within the span of three days by splitting up accordingly.

Obviously, no Legend of Zelda knowledge is required to participate in the event. If anything, you could just sort of think of it as a “MMORPG Raid” event. Party members will go through temples together and conquer puzzles, bosses, and utilize masks to get the job done. 

The temples not only possess a powerful boss within, but also, dangerous enemies and traps await you within the darkness of each and every temple. And as time goes on, the moon slowly descends upon the planet, creating chaos and despair amongst the natives of Reverie.

This event will be an open world event that takes place within the City of Reverie you all know and love. However, with the moon coming closer and closer as well as the temples scattered about in each of their respective districts, the game has completely changed and it’s a race against time. You will all spend three days trying to complete these temples, and then the fourth day will be dedicated to the final boss fight against Majora themselves.

But don’t worry, there’s more to do than that! You’ve all been given two apps on your smartphones: The Tatl App (a navigation app that’ll basically serve as your Alexa for this incident) and the Bomber’s Notebook. Sidequests will be a thing for members AND mods to throw into the event with rewards such as equippable masks!

You’re also all powernerfed, but don’t worry! You not only have obtained a sword, a shield, and a few other items to help you on your journey, but you also have something that the legendary Hero of Time himself didn’t have: party members. Good luck on saving Reverie, everyone!

This event will begin on Thursday, July 18th and will conclude on Sunday, July 21st.

Hi everyone, it’s time for the next event in City of Reverie! If you haven’t read the background for this event yet, here is the post for your reading pleasure! This next event is gonna be our biggest one yet, so get out your reading glasses and sit down cause this shit is about to get real.

From Thursday, May 30th to Sunday, June 2nd, we will be having our next event in Reverie! This event is the PROJECT: City of Reverie, AKA the Octopath Traveler-inspired event! For those of you who haven’t played Octopath (which you should give it a try or watch a playthrough sometime), it’s an JRPG game for the Nintendo Switch that features eight different playable characters that travel across the country with eight different routes that can be played in any order whatsoever. 

In a way, this event is basically an RPG/DnD inspired event with an open world setting, classes, sidequests, and a party system! While PROJECT: City of Reverie isn’t exactly like Octopath Traveler event however, as it has it’s own unique selection of eight different classes, setting, and roster of characters. 

This event is an open world event in which you may ping Loremasters or Dungeon Masters for different information, participate in tough battles against enemies (with no turns, and instead, a free for all system), join your friends in a party of eight characters maximum, and lots of juicy rewards, quests, and even the ability for MEMBERS to make their own SIDE QUESTS!

Most of the channels in the server will be customized to fit the setting (with the exception of messenger, which will be available during the event), so it may be a little confusing at first, but once you get the hang of it, it’ll be pretty easy to understand! But where can we find all this information to reference? Why, a Google Sheet that has been prepared by yours truly!

For all of the information, instructions, classes, parties, and the side quests, please see this google sheet!

While you cannot edit certain pages, you may edit the quest pages and the party system pages, allowing you to customize your own parties and your own sidequests of your own choice. Of course, every person will be power-nerfed, so they will have to pick a class and compose a party of their choice. Kind of like your traditional RPG! After that, you decide what the next move is (ranging from completing side quests, figuring out the forbidden knowledge of this world, beating super tough bosses, drinking at the local tavern, stealing money from nobles, or even conquering the world!). It really is an Open World RPG!

However, the President sent you all here to participate in her Loyalty Exam. Those that prove themselves capable will be made nobles of the new Reverie. As such, this is the event where you wanna flex and show off! Whether it be helping others, showcasing your skills, or conquering whatever goals you may desire. This is your chance to prove yourself, so go for it. But be careful, literally everyone else also has the same goal...

A broadcast has begun across all screens across the City of Reverie. From the television in your living room to your cell phone, you witness a speech from the President herself, standing directly behind a multitude of microphones with cameras flashing behind the camera.

Live from the President’s Tower...!!

“Citizens of Reverie! I’ve heard your calls and your protests and now, I have decided to take action! As you all know, the new foundation of Reverie stands upon a beacon of equality for everyone. As such, our fellow players that I’ve summoned to participate in my game for our own personal entertainment and to populate our city... have not only abused this right, but also, endangered the lives of innocents for too long!”

“And I too, have made way tooo manyyy mistakes with this whole thing. I’ve let them stomp and shove you all around, haven’t I? Well, today, we’re about to change all of that. I have prepared a solution that’ll not only equalize the playing grounds but also, provide the love and support that my most adoring nobles and fans deserve!”

“Citizens of Reverie! Listen intently and closely! Everyone here will be participating in what I call... THE PRESIDENT’S LOYALTY EXAM! As I repair Reverie and make it into the glorious homeland you’ve all come to love, everyone here will be going into a new world to prove their loyalty as a true Reverian!”

“You will all go to a new playing ground, where you will create a new civilization and arise to the top! Old money will become new money! Those with tactful wit shall beat the strong! A new world where everything has begun anew! And with this, everyone has a chance to become a citizen of the Capital district! Citizens of Reverie! You will all start out as petty little villagers and will rise into multi-billionaire CEOs! That is, if you take this chance to prove how much you truly wish to be a loyal citizen of Reverie! If you slack off, you will end up in the playing grounds, where the players will stomp all over you! Or you will reside in my NEW CAPITAL! Where the nobles will be protected from the wrath of players!”

“As for my players, you will be participating in this as well and will be playing on the same ground as my fellow citizens! No powers! No money! You will be forced to play by MY rules and may only rely on your own wit! Now then, citizens of Reverie, you shall go now and get a headstart before your demons come to haunt you!” And then, almost on cue, the President snaps her fingers.

A portal emerges from the skies, gazing over the remaining players...

A distorted purple portal emerges from the sky, revealing a space world beyond it. Easily seen from all districts besides the Underworld, citizens of Reverie stare at the sky with awe and fear, only to find themselves turning into small little pixels. The “pixels” then ascend up into the skies, entering the portal to their new destination... Screams and chaos are heard all across the island, yet in a matter of seconds, the island goes completely quiet. Save for the players, who are the only ones remaining on the island of Reverie.

You will all begin your journey in two days.

Hi everyone! It’s time for another event in the City of Reverie! And it appears that this time, it’ll be a fun one! After weeks of despair and intensity, it appears that our players deserve a well-earned break, don’t you think? Well, it’s lets see what the President has in store for them...

The President’s New Tower...

The City of Reverie has just completed it’s newfound President’s Tower and to celebrate it, the people of Reverie will engage in a fabulous ribbon cutting ceremony that’ll spread across the entire island itself. For what purpose? Well, to celebrate the birth of a new era for Reverie. The tower itself is said to pierce the glass dome with a shining nexus at the top, symbolizing the glorious power of Reverie. 

But of course, the people of Reverie can’t party and enjoy a new era with all of you around. You’re all nothing but troublemakers nowadays! So, that said, we’re just gonna send you guys to a cruise in the middle of nowhere, that way the natives of Reverie can actually rest for once! That said, you all have found a box at your door with golden tickets to the SS Starstorm: Reverie’s new deluxe cruise! Better start packing, cause you’re leaving THIS weekend!

When players spawn in at the cruise deck, they are bestowed upon a gorgeous sight. That’s right, from Saturday, April 20th to Monday, April 22nd, you will be spending the weekend here on the SS Starstorm. 

The cruise has the following attractions within it: a shopping boardwalk, laser tag & a huge arcade, a gorgeous restaurant, several swimming pools and jacuzzis, a massive casino, a theater playing films 24/7, an ice skating rink, a spa and fitness center, a mini golf deck, and so much more!

Sounds pretty overwhelming, right? Well, it just means you won’t be bored! Each player of Reverie will be rooming with people of your choice, but each person will obtain the following things: a room key, a card that allows them to drink if they are over the age of eighteen, and a button that’ll summon your own personal hologram that can shift into anything you want and do anything you please. It can serve you drinks, provide you the answer to any question you ask, and most notably, it’ll keep you company.

But let’s discuss everyone’s rooming. What does it look like? Well...

The rooms also will be two bedroom two bathroom with a kitchen, a sitting area, a private deck, and so much more! You might even discover features or secret rooms just from looking around!

Hi everyone! It’s time we discuss our next event that’ll begin tomorrow, Tuesday, April 2nd! Please read over this post, as it explains everything you need to know!

First off, a little backstory...

The President has gone at least over eight hundred years without a break. After all, running an entire city, bringing people from their worlds, and making the game interesting takes A LOT out of her! It’s sooo hard being the bad guy, y’know? As such, she could seriously a vacation or at least a short break!

Enter Salem, a villain character from the RWBY franchise, who has been quite notorious across Reverie for her army of Grimm and many alliances. This particular character has caught the President’s eye lately, considering she’s managed to coat the entire Underworld into a Grimm nest, where locals and players alike are constantly engaging in fights with these shadowy creatures. To see such evil and dictatorship in action not only inspired the President, but gave Salem the title of being The President’s Favorite Player.

As such, she decided to offer Salem a special gift: presidency. The President needs a vacation and she wants it ASAP! Who better to take up the throne than her favorite player? Salem accepted the invitation and began preparations for her temporary reign of power. Herself, her allies, and the strongest Grimm will gather up in the President’s tower and rule the city with an iron fist.

That said, on Tuesday, April 2nd and Wednesday, April 3rd, the President will be on a temporary vacation and Salem will be your new President. Keep in mind, Joseph / R4 will still be sitting in the Nexus, but he has no plans of interfering with Salem’s plans.

This event will be called The Bad Ending event, as there are two parts to it: The Main Story and the Side Story.

The Main Story will revolve around The Revolution’s First Mission: Defeating Salem. Salem cannot be defeated by normal means due to her impeccable power, army, and immortal status. As such, The Revolution will need a less conventional approach to defeating Salem. Using an app on an IPhone 4, The Revolution will be entering Salem’s cognitive mind, aka The Metaverse. The Metaverse is a cognitive world from Persona 5 and houses cognitive “strongholds” called Palaces. These strongholds have the ability to change someone’s heart, provided, you can defeat the “big boss” of these palaces. The Revolution will enter Salem’s Palace and will change her heart and hopefully end her tyranny.

The Side Story is everything else happening outside of the Revolution’s stuff. Reverie will basically become a Grimm infested city and will need all of the players to either fight, take shelter, OR take advantage of the situation. You see, it’s called The Bad Ending event because Reverie is in utter hell. And the worst part is? The villains of Reverie have FULL control of the city and the Truce! They can break all the laws they want!

Villains, this is your time to shine! Vent out your anger during this event and have lots of fun! You could say this event is a combination of a story-based event and a passive event! How exciting!

This event will begin on Tuesday, April 2nd, and will end on Wednesday, April 3rd. The Main Story portion will begin at 7pm EST on Tuesday AND Wednesday.

A pregame will begin @ 8pm EST tonight for members of The Revolution to participate in a meeting regarding The Elite Four and Operation: Salem. There will be no pre-Palace investigations due to scheduling conflicts. Sorry! At least tomorrow, it’ll be all fresh and exciting!

Hi everyone! This is a post about our newest group feature: The Revolution!

Back in Phase 1, we learned rumors of a so-called Resistance. Although, it was practically considered an urban legend, for they hardly made any moves to overthrow the President. In fact, NPCs often criticized them of not making many moves. But everything came together when we learned in Phase 2 that the Resistance was actually a guise to keep the dragon gods under the wraps. To keep them away from the President’s radar and to also to win the heart of the players.

But of course, it’s been one year since this cast of players spawned in Reverie. 

A lot of incidents, casualties, and disasters have occurred. NPCs are deadly afraid of the players and any sort of incident is merely a ploy to get players to fight amongst themselves. The veteran players have waited far too long for help and they can’t exactly escape either. The dragon gods must remain in the shadows until the right opportunity. It’s time the rebellious players make their next move.

Two players, Fustian (rped by Keaton) and Kaishu (rped by Candle) have created a new resistance called The Revolution.

The Revolution’s Coin, which allows them to enter the temporary base.

The Revolution will serve as another group feature that you get to jump into when you sign up for the group! Basically, members have the option of joining the Revolution with as many muses as they’d like. Just simply mention that you wanna join as (x) in #ic-plans and we’ll send out an invite or a letter to your muse, accompanied by a coin and an installed app on your phone. The Revolution’s purpose is to overthrow incidents, save innocent NPCs, and interfere with the Truce.

Now, you might be thinking, do I have to join The Revolution to really get story content? No way! If anything, you can get story content from ANY route you take. Some players might not be willing to overthrow the entire government or some players may enjoy the sandbox-y nature of Reverie. After all, to overthrow the government means that they can’t kill, manipulate, or conquer. Think of The Revolution as a feature that everyone gets to indulge in if they want. 

I really do like the idea of Reverie being a sandbox or open world roleplay group in terms of that there really is a concrete path that everyone needs to take. You can spend your time as however you’d like and you can do as you please, provided you follow the rules and enjoy yourself! So, think of Reverie as more or less an open world RP group at this point. You forge the path that you think your characters would take.

I really hope all of our members get a chance to participate in this new exciting group feature though! We’ll be having our next event soon that ALL members can participate in, whether or not they’re in The Revolution. So, get hype!

Hi everyone! It’s time for another City of Reverie content update!

This time, we wanted to sort of give players an update that’ll not only help them get comfy, but also... provide some more closer insight on the darker secrets of Reverie. And also, hey, who doesn’t love new channels, new updates, and pretty things?

First up, everyone already knows this but we have added two new roles that ALL members should take into account:

Loremasters: @ this role to alert a loremaster that you need some lore! Whether you wanna explore, obtain some important info regarding your whereabouts or, maybe... you just want an excuse to look for something!

Dungeon Masters: @ this role if you want to alert a DM! Need someone to DM a Wishing Well NPC? Or just something in general? Go for it!

Use this roles very wisely and be sure to have fun with ‘em! Don’t be afraid about bothering people with it. They’re here to help and who doesn’t love DMing and dropping lore?

Speaking of the Wishing Well... it’s gotten an upgrade recently. Originally, the Wishing Well could only provide weapons, pets, and other small items through side quests requested by the shopkeeper. But is that really enough to keep customers coming back? 

As such, we have expanded the services FINALLY to include buildings! You want a building from your world in Reverie? Bring it on! Keep in mind, if you want it to be a business though, you’ll have to provide a admin/mod with it’s name, a short description, and which district it’s in! But it’s about time! Get that Barbie Dream House™ fantasy you’ve been craving! Although, building quests are harder, so be prepared to do some crazy stuff...

#underworld-slums: You wanna live here? You’re seriously stupid enough to actually be here? God, you do you, but you’re crazy...

#blockbuster-films: Wanna rent some movies? What do you mean ‘why is this here?’ It’s a totally ordinary Blockbuster store! The OG!

#engine-room: It may be directly under the Underworld, but it’s close enough, right? Anyways, it’s a party down here! Super unstable machines and dragon language labels everywhere! What could go wrong?

With the results in, it’s time we announce and debut the new dating show: Flavor of Reverie! AKA, a drama-filled reality dating TV show meant for both singles and drama enthusiasts! Contestants from across the island will gather to seduce these two thirsty creatures looking for the love of their lives!

The screens flicker a little as the audience is introduced to the bachelor and bachelorette of the program. You all wait in anticipation for the most gorgeous people you’ll ever see on television...

“Well hello there. Aren't you a sexy piece of cuccoo meat? The name's Link, Hero of Time, and I'm pretty much prince charming in a hot green bean pod. I'm going to impress you with my raging muscles, hot bod, and sultry, handsome eyebrows. Ladies and gents all over Hyrule swooned for me, and it's not hard to see why. If you want your chance to meet this big hunk of hero, my only requirement is you have to like ocarina music, long walks on the beach, and also, you have to hate the moon. Hope to see you soon, bachelor/ettes! HYAH!” Link swings his sword triumphantly for the camera. His face, figure, and voice are all so irresistible...

With that said, call this number below and join us for our new show, Flavor of Reverie! Contestants will be expected to try and win the bachelor/ette’s love through challenges, performances, and exclusive private dates between the two. But be careful, everyone else is gonna be trying to win his love, and that can create some tension and drama amongst the numbers. And if THAT wasn’t enough, the bachelor/ette’s will be given advisers to help pick through the crowd. But in the end, our nominees will make the final decision.

CAUTION! ⚠ CAUTION! ⚠ CAUTION!

It’s time for the Flavor of Reverie event! AKA, The Bachelor II. Veteran members remember this event from last year with the winner of M!Robin and Chrom, but this time, we’re not only gonna make this event twice as fun, but also twice as dramatic. While there won’t be any killing robots praying for drama, there’s certainly gonna be drama with your fellow contestants.

For our members that might’ve missed the last event or are new, here is a general synopsis of what to expect. The show works very much like dating shows like The Bachelor or Flavor of Love.

In Flavor of Reverie, a Bachelor/ette is chosen by the audience (you guys) and is put on the show to find the love of their life through challenges and performances that are designed to swoon the bachelor/ette. However, the contestants must also live inside of a big mansion AND compete for the bachelor/ette’s love. If you truly love the Bachelor/ette, then you’ll claw your way to the top. Even if it means getting messy.

But before we get the contestants on the big screen, we have to CHOOSE a bachelor AND a bachelorette within a poll that I’ve created for you all to vote on! The characters chosen were nominated through the roleplayers themselves.

We have two categories: the masculine presenting bachelor and the feminine presenting bachelor. These polls will begin on Monday, February 4th and will conclude on Friday, February 8th @ 12pm EST. After the ending date, the votes will be counted and the bachelor/ette will be chosen. Provided, they can make the date.

TCAUTION! ⚠ CAUTION! ⚠ CAUTION!

And thus, another incident has begun.

In the midst of another quiet evening in the City of Reverie, the ground suddenly rumbled with fury. From the Overworld to the Underworld, almost everyone was a victim to it’s wrath. Cracks erupted into the walls of buildings, supplies fell off of shelves, and innocents hid under their desks out of fear. An earthquake, perhaps? 

If only it were as simple as that. 

The people of the Overworld gazed up at the glass ceiling for answers. Why was this happening? Was there something going on outside? Questions flooded their innocent minds until they were greeted by their neighborly clouds waving goodbye to them. Everything and everyone stopped to gaze at the sky. Every citizen of the Overworld came to the very same conclusion: The City of Reverie is sinking back into the ocean.

Everyone in Reverie knows that the island itself floats above a deep sea where no land can be seen beyond the horizons. With the island sinking, there is only one place where Reverie can go: underwater. That’s right, this event will be taking place under the sea. As the island itself sunk under the waters like an anchor, everyone realized that the glass ceiling was the only thing that stood between them and the flooding waters. As such, Reverie remained dry. For now.

Reverie kept sinking and sinking until it reached the bottom of the ocean. As the darkness of the aquamarine wonderland surrounded the city, people grew afraid of what was to come. This was another incident. And it could very well cost their very lives. True, the glass hasn’t given out from the water pressure, and in fact, everything is still dry. But they all wonder the very cause of this incident. The President hasn’t made an announcement or anything either...

Welcome to the new Reverie. An underwater city surrounded by a glass wall.

And just when things couldn’t get worse. All players heard their phones go off  collectively at once to see their phones glitching violently. And then, a message popped up in the #messenger chatroom.

“Hand over the Fountain of Youth within 48 hours or drown.” It appears to be from an anonymous messenger...

You have a weekend to find the Fountain of Youth and give it to whoever is asking. Unfortunately, the culprit has no intentions of replying to you anytime soon and you’re left on ‘Delivered.’ So, you have a decision: will you swim with the fishes or will you hand over the Fountain of Youth? Wherever that is?

This event will begin on Saturday, January 26th and end on Sunday, January 27th. Pre-game will be tonight, but it’ll mostly just be everything summed up in this post, but your characters can react to it!

Hi everyone! Admin Keaton here with some new updates regarding Reverie!

First of all, as if it weren’t obvious already. almost all preparations (if not all) regarding the switch from Phase 1 to 2 have been completed! And thus planning for Phase 2 have begun! In Phase 1, you learned about your purpose within Reverie. However, in Phase 2, it’s time we get into the deeper questions: The whys and the hows. Why did things play out the way they did? How was Reverie formed? What about the natives of this land? Where can I find the truth?

These questions will set the stage for Phase 2, as we will be doing a lore-based event in late January for all members to participate in! Please wait warmly for future updates! We’ve already begun the first few nods towards the first event, so look forward for it!

Also, with Phase 1′s conclusion, it’s time that we create a NEW Lore document! ... For now. We have plans to probably put it on a more organized roster, but for now, it’s important that we at least get information out to all players in case they missed something! We also have an #event-summary channel where we will be using as a potential reference tool as well!

This lore document will also be in the #overview channel for reference purposes, but here is the link to it! Please be sure to give it a read or two, as sometimes, having missing pieces to the puzzle means you can’t solve it.

Hi everyone! Keaton here at City of Reverie with one last lil’ status update regarding the end of Phase 1.

We are no longer accepting applications from anyone outside of the group. If you’d like to apply for City of Reverie, you must be invited in by a member AND get admin/moderator approval. Otherwise, as of December 1st, we will not accept you into the group. As said in a previous post, the purpose of this is to help build a community around City of Reverie, but also to help minimize the oncoming growth of new members.

We’ve also modified the blog and are STILL working on it. The plot synopsis needs to be overhauled and the locations page is currently a work in progress. Please be patient with us during this intermission!
