“Why I like photography”

These images both express certain reasons why I like photography. The first, a couple kissing after the end of the First World War (Alfred Eisenstaedt), captures a moment in history and conveys some of the emotion and culture of the time. The second, a picture I took of my friend Caylin, is a great example of how photography can be a creative outlet to play with light and composition. Photography can tell a story and can also reframe familiar subjects into colorful or new images.
