Travel Guide: Barcelona Following Gaudà through the City
His unconventional works always intrigued me - the colors, curves, his inspiration from nature were fascinating and I couldnât wait to see them with my own eyes. Casa Mila, Casa Batllo and Sagrada Familia were close enough to see them all in one day and still allowed us some time to enjoy tapas in between. Sagrada Familia gathers the most tourists, so buy tickets online ahead to skip the long line. For Park Guell, itâs best to plan at least half of day for the visit and I recommend taking a bus because itâs a very long hike from the metro stop to the entrance of the park.
The most fascinating thing when I visit each place was how his creations are still very much part of peopleâs everyday lives. It was not just an art to admire - there are still residents in his buildings, the church is still being built from the donations and the park is free. His work is appreciated and used by generations of people and they become part of his work. Â In a strange way I felt his creations are still very much alive and I hope you might feel the same way when you visit Barcelona.Â

Happy Christmas, Carlos.

Feliç Nadal, Brian.
[The gifts make him smile. Two themes in one, badass. And Brian gets these few things!

Buon Natale, Carlos.

Feliç Nadal, Nicolo.
[That will be destroyed. He is grateful it wasn't a sponge though. And he gets this great food.]

*A very Merry Christmas to you, Carlos! Molly hopes you like your gift.
And you too get a Molly poem, sooo yeah.*
[Molly, you are going to come to regret this gift. He loves it, but you are going to regret it.
You get this though. It makes up for the regret.]
Frowning is so going to make it better.
Shut up. [And now he's frowning at her]

Accept it, you are the girlfriend. Besides, youâre the more attractive one. *When in doubt, compliment someone.*
[frowning. Compliments are not going to work on him, Brian.]
[He hugs his knees and cocks his head to the side]Â Your fault? How so?Â
[Hums and shrugs]
I don't really visit. And I'm off doing whatever a lot of the time with no warning. Unless you don't try to visit, which is rude, Toni.
[Damn you. He was going to react in the same way to Carlosâ comment but now he canât because he doesnât want to do anything Carlos does. Except football. Football was always an exception.]
You sound like Toni, except he canât avoid me. And I call you that because thatâs what you act like.
[Well, Carlos got to it first. Ha. Yeah, football's the only exception to literally everything. All the time.]
The woes of having to communicate with the capital. I feel for Toni, truly. And I hate you a little, you know.
