it’s awesome how we have unlimited chances to become a better version of ourselves
“I am too intelligent, too demanding, and too resourceful for anyone to be able to take charge of me entirely. No one knows me or loves me completely. I only have myself.”
— Simone de Beauvoir (b. 9 January 1909)
i am such an enthusiastic witness to friendship and community. i love seeing people care about each other and "get" each other. i could watch 1 million movies and shows and clips about this because i know it's simply not something that is going to happen to me as an adult and not in a sad way. in a very matter of fact way due to how my brain is and how my circumstances are. so i feel like i can siphon off some of that warmth and connection by observing it. and im genuinely glad i at least get to see it. thank you art thank you podcasts thank you youtube videos thank you books thank you blogging
this is one of the more favourable photo's i've ever taken
“Now I think poetry will save nothing from oblivion, but I keep writing about the ordinary because for me it’s the home of the extraordinary, the only home.”
— Philip Levine (b. 10 January 1928)
