ivannaishere:
“Ella, are you okay?” Ivanna was looking at her friend in worry as she suddenly stopped in her tracks and sat down on the ground. She looked as though she was in pain though Ivanna didn’t have a clue what exactly was going on with her. “What’s wrong?”Â
The rush of the blood in her ears was all Ella could hear at first. Fingers curling into a fist on her lap, she shook her head. “i-its dark.” She mumbled, finally hearing Ivanna’s question. With all the dark magic she had been exposed to before running away and landing in Mistbrooke, it was no surprise that she was still feeling the left over effects.Â
trystanhale:
Trystan watched as Ella attempted and failed to open the door, he too suddenly remembered what he had been warned about in regards to some of the rooms being compelled from using magic. “Oh…” he said, quietly chuckling at the how awkward things had gotten. “So, what do you think we should do?”
Ella lifted her hands up to rub her face at Trystan’s question, she didnt even think she had an answer for him. “Try not to let this get anymore awkward?” She suggested lamely. “Do you have any clothes in here or are they in your room. Please tell me you have more than a towel in here.”
Ella couldnt breathe, it felt like a weight was sitting on her chest. Dropping her bag, she reached out until her fingers touched the wall that she used to lower herself down to the ground. Although she was use to this, it was hard not to let the panic bubble up in her chest. Blinking rapidly, she tried to keep the blindness that would over take her until this episode ended. A soft curse left her lips as she tried to make herself seem smaller and hope no one sees her.
trystanhale:
At first Trystan had not even realized what happened until he heard the door lock again. He turned off the water, and when he turned noticed a silhouette through the thin shower curtain, which startled him. He grabbed the nearest towel and wrapped it around his waist before pushing open the curtain and coming face to face with Ella. If it had not been for the steam that had already turned his face red, then that moment would have definitely done it. “Shit, is it your turn? I mean, didn’t you hear the wa-  woah and where are you clothes? Wait…” He sighed, pushing back the wet hair that had fallen over his forehead with his free hand. “Why haven’t you walked out yet?”Â
As Trystan stepped out of the shower, she spun around to face the door. Her face heating up. This could not be happening. It was like every bad teen rom com come to life. Exhaling softly, she tugged on the door. “It locked behind me. I think this was one of the rooms we can get magic to work in.” She explained, without looking at him. This was all her stupid fault, if only she had payed attention before walking into the bathroom.Â

“Oh,” the disheveled haired wizard nodded, slightly envious of her confession, how different his life would’ve been if he’d been raised around others like him. “That’s neat, the coven, or at least it sounds like it would be.” He flashed a small smile, shrugging. “I guess it’s a matter of what one is used to, I’ve never gotten used to the taste of coffee, so I can understand that.” Teddy mumbled. “Steve is an echinda puggle, an animal. I’m glad someone seems to.”
Ella's mismatched eyes studied Teddy as he spoke, the idea of a Coven being neat was a foreign concept for her. Sure, there were probably wonderful covens but hers hadn't been one. "I suppose it had its perks but it had it's fair share of downsides as well." She returned his smiled as she let her gaze move as to not make him uncomfortable. "Coffee can be a bit much so I understand that. I've never heard of a.... echinda puggle."

Harper perched her elbows up on her knees, chin rested against her palms as she stared into the abyss. “I do my best not to, but you know we all just have those moments where we can’t, no matter what. I just…have you ever missed someone so much that even just thinking about them hurts so so bad?” the blonde asked softly, voice exhausted from the fallen tears. “I suppose you’re just saying things to make me feel a little better.”
Ella nodded her head in understanding as Harper spoke, letting her mind wander to her twins sister. “Yeah, I have actually.” She confirmed glancing over at Harper. “Every day it seems like but I also cant bring myself not to think about her. Dont worry, Im not saying things just to make you feel better. I actively want you to feel better. Being in this sort of mood is never a good thing.”

“This is true, but showing an initiative always helps in any job. Those are usually retail jobs, or ones that involve customer work.” Caroline pointed out, or from what she’d gathered that seemed to be the case. “Just help me carry things around the island, maybe a little paper work, and there’s no harm in that, one can always learn. I’m mostly freelance at the moment, so I’m kind of my own boss, so I can decide who is and isn’t qualified.” Caroline shrugged, dismissing the further commentary on dads. “And the worst that can happen is finding out you don’t like it.”
"I suppose that is true. Showing initiative in any aspect of life usually helps." Ella weighed Caroline's words as she explained what she would need to do. It sounded a lot better than being a bartender. It just wasn't the road for her, she wasn't much of a people person. "I suppose that is true. How do I apply?"
flylikeharper:
Harper wasn’t an openly emotional person, often reserving her tears for when she was behind closed doors. It was easier that way, better and the idea of feeling vulnerable was something she couldn’t fathom. “I suppose that’d be alright, but I don’t really know why you’d want to do that and I’m not entirely sure I want to be in someone’s debt.” She spoke carefully, the other seemed innocent enough. “You’re right, but most don’t burst into tears after a stranger approaches them in the park.”
Ella moved to sit down beside Harper but no to close, she didn't want to invade her space. "I don't like to see people upset and you seem like someone who doesn't let things get to you often. Don't worry about being in my debt." A small smile came to her lips. "No not usually but it does happen occasionally."
It was definitely quite an experience sharing a tiny apartment with Ella. There were new things Trystan was getting from his new found freedom, and somehow living with her was one of them. The idea didn’t bother him at all and in fact it was probably better so they could keep an eye on each other if their magic got out of hand.Â
Trystan woke up late that afternoon, having stayed up until the early hours of the morning reading and practicing how to conceal his magic better after the incident he had at the library. With the apartment sounded quiet, which made him think that perhaps Ella had stepped out, Trystan decided to take a quick shower that way he could use the rest of the time he had alone to practice some more and clean up the messes he had created when he first moved in.Â
@claimyourself-ella
Before the island, the only person she had ever lived with had been her parents and after her sisters disappearance and her mothers death, her father had never bee home. So it had almost been living alone. Because of this, she had assumed that moving in with Trystan would be something that she needed to get use to. But they had easily slid into a routine. Working as a Bartender had Ella keeping more unusual hours than she was use to. So when she crawled out of bed that afternoon, she expected Trystan to already be at work. With the thought of taking advantage of the shower while she was home alone, Ella shimmed out of her night clothes and wrapped a robe around herself before making her way to the bathroom.Â
Had she been paying attention, she would have heard the shower running and realized that someone was in there but her mind had slipped elsewhere. Entering the bathroom, the door shut behind her, an audible click sounding behind her pulling her from her thoughts. A curse left her lips. "I didn't know you were home!"
sweetxcaro-line:
“It was but eventually I worked my way up, once they saw how good I was with the animals, they quickly gave me a much better position. If you’re ever looking to do something else, feel free to let me know, I could always use an assistant, not that everyone finds marine biology interesting,” she shrugged, grimacing at the mention of the other’s father. “Aren’t all dads?”
"At least you got to work your way up, I feel that some jobs just expect you to stay at the bottom forever and be happy with it." As Caroline mentioned needing an assistant, Ella glanced over at her. "What would I have to do? I don't have much or any training." Noticing the grimace, she nodded her head. "From what I can tell, yes."
flylikeharper:
“Maybe I am, and maybe that means I just want to be alone. If it was any other day of the year, I’d be okay with conversation, even be the one to approach others but I just..” her words fell short, eyes watering up again as tears spilled down her cheek. “It’s better if I’m alone,” she managed to whisper out, wiping the waterworks away. “I’m not usually this emotional, I promise.”
Ella's concern grew as the tears slipped down Harper's cheek. "What if I don't speak? I'll sit here with you for support and if anyone else comes by they won't bother you because you'll already have someone with you?" She offered. It was a trick her and Trystan had used multiple times growing up when they wanted to be left alone. "Everyone has their off days."
trystanhale:
“Can’t help it, you know? If we were able to find out about this place… who’s to say they won’t? Not like they’ll ever leave Salem for a cursed island but…” He shook his head once more, hoping those thoughts would go away as fast as they came. There was no point if overthinking it. “Same goes to you. I honestly got worried about you being late, but I knew you’d find a way to get out.” Trystan said, smiling slightly at her as he nodded. “Can’t promise I’ll do it again.”
Ella sighed deeply and lifted her hand to rub the bridge of her nose as Trystan continued to talk. It was times like this where she wanted to throw something at him. "Believe me, if they want to find me bad enough, they'll find a way on this island. Which is exactly why I don't want to think about it." She let go of his arm and shook her head. "You shouldn't worry about me." Stepping forward, she embraced him, she didn't do it often because she had a thing about no touching but Trystan was her best friend, it was different. "I shouldn't need you to do it again."
teddybarebone:
“Wait, what? Is that even possible? How can someone not be a tea person? I prefer tea on all days.” Teddy insisted, astonished by her confession. “Even Steve enjoys tea, and he’s really quite the picky eater. There’s enough negativity in the world, it’s best not to spread more.”
"I grew up in a Coven that ran on coffee in the mornings and there was even a few that drank coffee through out the day. I just never wanted Tea." She shrugged her shoulders. "Who is Steve? And that is very true. I like the way you think."

“Oh.” She let out simply, eyes lingering on her sister before lowering them to the ground. She couldn’t stop her fingers from playing with the many bracelets and rings she was wearing, it always helped calming her down. “I guess I shouldn’t be surprised about that.” She said after a moment, trying to stick a small smile on her lips, but it failed.
Tears burned at Ella's eyes the longer that she stood there but she didn't know what to say. How to react. "Are you... are you okay?" She finally asked softly, her eyes moving away from her sister and to the trees around them. "I missed you."
werejoeree:
Joe shrugged at her question, keeping his eyes low, fingers playing with the pendant. “I don’t know. I don’t know how to do that. I don’t know how to do any of that, actually.”
Ella smiled softly at Joe's words before reaching out to pat his hand. "Just be natural. But be sure to tell her. I'm sure she likes you too."
