I couldn't really listen to this song for a long time because it always brings me straight back to that hot, bright afternoon when Alek and I had a fight about prom, and I was so upset and immediately got into the car and drove and drove and drove and cried and played this song over and over and sang/screamed it with the windows rolled down because it was my favorite song at the time. My prom dress was thrown in the backseat because I needed a destination and I decided to go get it hemmed.

Came up today as I shuffled my iTunes and I didn't skip it this time and ugh I still love it.

south florida represent. i’m guessing by ‘west’ they mean we try to be like california? accurate. edit: realized i live in southwest florida because west palm beach duh, and i think northeast makes more sense given the amount of snowbirds we have here
