         he snaps back to attention and he tries to numb his feelings,          but he can’t seem to find that switch at the moment. ❛ yeah. ❜          there’s a crack in his voice, though, so he’s not.

     chewing on his lip, carter isn't sure if he should further      question the other or not. instead he's going to test his      drink. when it's too hot he moves to put it on the table,      bringing his knees to his chest . ❛ are you sure? ❜

           the mug is just to the right of him, which, sadly,             flashes him back to the beer someone put near            him today. it takes everything within him not to             smash the mug on the ground.

     he's holding his own mug in his sweater-covered hands. it's      frustrating that he can't see the other's face, figure out what's      wrong. instead, he's going to try and break the silence. ❝ a-are      you okay? ❞

        he’s very zoned out today, you may have to repeat yourself.

     he's going to guide himself to the kitchen and carefully      pour water into two mugs and sliding them into the      microwave. a few minutes later, he's setting a mug      down on the table. hopefully it's in front of him.

     ❝ do you want some hot chocolate? ❞             ( he has a problem. )

i finally have my good computer back so while i redownload icons, like for a starter!

            everything hurt. it wasn't the same pain as usual, today,             though. it was more intense this time. it was in more             places, too. of course, carter was sure that this was a             side effect of all the things his father had done to him             when he was younger. everything seemed to be a side             effect of that. these aches on pains didn't go away during             the day, though. they only intensified throughout the day.
