Thriftclan is a clangen comic blog, where I'll be posting updates on the clan through moon posts and lore posts! The events of the moons are determined by the game, though I might make the decision to express an event in a different way that it's shown in the sim!

Happy Pride Month to all of our CCCers! Our event this month is the CCC Pride Quilt!

Using the template provided, you'll draw your ClanGen character (or characters, if you think you can squash multiple into the space provided) inside the frame! You can decorate your frame as you please, such as drawing your character's pride flag as the background, dressing up the border with a fun design, or whatever else you'd like. These are just suggestions! Feel free to be as creative with it as you like - you don't have to draw a pride flag to participate in the event.

IF YOU ARE ONLY PARTICIPATING ON TUMBLR AND NOT IN THE SERVER, PLEASE UNDERSTAND THAT YOUR SQUARE WILL NOT BE ADDED TO THE QUILT AT THE END OF THE EVENT.

Happy Webcomic Day, everyone!

My name is Rel and I am the creator of Direclan! Direclan started as a way to force myself to create some piece of longform media, but it has evolved over the last year and a half into something very sepcial that has brought me into such a wonderful community (as well as proving to myself that I can make comics)!

Direclan is a clangen-based slice-of-life story about the formation of a group of cats that call themselves Direclan after the ghost that brought them together. In the years since their formation, though, a simple ghost has turned into something much more complex. It’s about about new beginnings, letting go of the past, and what truly forges a leader. If you are already familiar with the Warriors series by Erin Hunter, this will hopefully feel very nostalgic!

You can read it on Tumblr on this account, but it is better read en masse on Comicfury! Warnings for canon-typical violence, very light blood/gore, and animal death.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CCC DISCORD!!!

If you didn't see, the Clangen Creator Community celebrated it's 1st birthday on March 23rd, so we thought we would run the same event that we ran the first month that the server was open - a banner event!

The original event featured 38 cats, but this time we were able to have a gathering of 60! Each cat was drawn and submitted by a different creator in our server in their own unique style, meaning we also have over 60 art styles represented here, which is so incredibly cool.

HUGE SPECIAL THANKS TO @bristleclanismissing, whom we commissioned to make the background but graciously assembled and FULLY SHADED the whole piece! Thank you so much, Coffee <3

We mention it a lot, but we are truly so grateful for this community, and hopefully the immense amount of love put into this project by our participants is easily felt. Here's to another year of creation!

Thank you all SO much for a thousand followers!!! As a thanks, I'm holding a design contest for an upcoming DaisyClan character.

Pigeontrail joins the Clan as Pigeonkit on Moon 41.

The rules for the contest are as follows:

To enter the contest, you may reblog this post with your design entry, tag me in a post of your design entry, or send your design entry in an ask.

The contest will end on the 24th of April 2026. I will choose the winner's entry soon after.

Pigeontrail should be designed as a young adult! If you'd like, you can include an apprentice/kit design/doodles too, but that is totally optional.

Pigeontrail joins DaisyClan as a newborn kit, so you should not come up with a backstory for him.

You don't have to stick exactly to the sprite design, but there should be some resemblance to it and no outlandish changes (e.g. don't change him to like a tortoiseshell or something lol)

I don't think I have to say this but just in case, do not use AI, steal or trace to create your entry to the contest.

Again, I cannot thank you all enough for your support on this comic. I have lots of fun making it, and I'm glad you have fun reading it (despite the agony I sometimes put you through, lol). Good luck with your designs!
