Sense and Sensibility trailer
Since When Did Carrying A Bag Become A Marriage Certificate? 🤦🏻♀️
A lovely friend reminded me of something I’d completely forgotten.
Sam carried Sara Holden’s bag before.
That one little reminder sent me down the rabbit hole.
So I did what I always do…I searched.
And guess what?
I found photos of him carrying other women’s bags over the years too.
Funny how those weren’t treated as everlasting proof of true love.
Anyone who’s followed Sam for more than five minutes knows he’s chivalrous
He’s carried women’s bags before.
He’s joined women in activities before.
He’s helped people before.
That’s called being a gentleman.
Not being in love.
In this case, he was hosting the event. He was standing with her while she was about to try a motorbike, so he held her bag for the moment.
To me, that’s a far more ordinary explanation than assuming someone carrying a bag automatically means they’re in a real relationship!!!
A backpack, a purse, a shopping bag… even a garbage bag…A bag is still just a bag.
The funniest part?
While searching, I found practically every documented second of the man’s life short of his bathroom breaks. 😂
And somehow, the same account keeps recycling the same “evidence” over and over.
Maybe it’s time we stop confusing basic manners with romance.
Because if carrying a bag is proof of love…
Then apparently he’s been in a lot more relationships than anyone can keep track of.

💬 42 🔁 6 ❤️ 51 · So, now we know Sam did NOT compete in Hyrox this weekend. Here are his final standings and they show NO RESULTS. 👇 So
Something fishy is happening. Who took these photos and who is posting them ?
https://64.media.tumblr.com/d42995173af6c63d3a2e197d0d45d224/0c4e1be5ffc22e00-43/s2048x3072/2888415903b4f42bca2b9f45a062a44051650a52.jpg
I don’t know, but the new photos are doing very little to help them sell this as an actual relationship.
I’d recommend reading @sgiandubh ‘s very accurate body language analysis.
Cait has nothing to do with Sam except being co-stars and friends. The fact that you think she and Sam are in cahoots hiring beards to cover their own relationship is absolutely insane and it proves that you view Cait as an idiot. The same woman who is self-made, doesn't take BS & s*it from anyone and is also into a real relationship based on love, trust & respect. A man like Sam does not respect women and uses them for personal benefit. He's never had a real relationship, never lived with a woman, isn't into children nor is he boyfriend or husband material. Today is Father's Day. His business partner stayed home to be with his daughters while Sam spent his day with a twice married woman with a child of her own, he barely pays attention to. I wouldn't wish this man on any woman but here you are believing that he's worth your time whether single or pretending to be in a relationship. The man is using and laughing at you all the way to the bank. No sane individual believes that after 14 years these two actors, one married with a child, the other running from one woman to another have anything in common beyond a working relationship and a friendship they forged together.
There is also no truth to one shipper's comment that Cait bought Sam a motorcycle nor is it true they rode his motorcycle together. What she bought him was a Japanese toilet after he bragged about loving it in Japan.
Lies won't link them beyond what they are, friends. With OL over, you won't even have that but you will continue to be fed Sam's own PR and shilling. He plays all sides and won't ever change because manipulation is his forte and you're all addicted to him no matter how crocked he is.
IYKYK
The event is nearing its end, while the circus is somehow at its peak. Maybe that’s not such a bad thing. At this point, it’s more entertaining, and more fake, than a lot of shows I know.
So, a quick mid-event recap: I already regret giving Sam credit for keeping the attention on yesterday’s event. Today, it was very clearly important to him, and to her, that we all know she was there.
Thank you to the anon who pointed out that the motorcycle from Ireland doesn’t seem to be starring at the event, which honestly makes me wonder what the urgency was to bring it over between two back-to-back events if no one was even going to ride it anyway.
And as for the event itself… are around fifty motorcycles considered a success? From what I understood, the expectation was closer to 200, but I guess that’s for Sam to decide. And Alex. Speaking of, where is Alex? Is it possible Father’s Day matters more to him than babysitting Steph? Maybe Sam should learn a thing or two from him about priorities when it comes to children.
I understand that Sam wants to put Dumfries and Galloway on the map in order to promote the distillery, but so far it looks like he’s targeting a pretty niche and limited audience instead of actually using the spotlight of the World Cup and aiming at football fans, the people who actually drink nonstop during these things.
But honestly, I’ve stopped expecting much from his marketing department.
It didn’t take long for today’s distillery event reports to start making the rounds.
According to the ever-so-organic sources from the Tumblr next door - naturally, we were treated to a slight narrative adjustment.
The tone has been softened, the presentation made a little more “organic” and the widow has once again been carefully placed into the story.
This time, with the added bonus of a supposed effort to protect the little girl.
And yet, as always, the person who took the photos and shared the details somehow sent everything directly to you know who, and only to her.
No one else. Just her.
Funny how these things keep happening.
I literally just wrote about the shrinking time gap between innuendos, and here comes Sam’s turn to join the party.
I understand they seem to have a very strong need this week to prove there’s something real between them, which ironically only proves the opposite, but here’s some free advice for whoever is managing this circus: when you want to share something funny with someone close to you, you simply send it to them privately. That’s the normal thing normal people do.
But it’s fine, keep acting as if none of us have ever been in a relationship and have no idea how people behave in one.
Less is more, people.
"Less is more, people."
That's it.
And, to the surprise of absolutely nobody, Sam shows up with Instagram stories.
Quite late in the UK, isn't it?
And naturally... the private account gets tagged.
LOL
I see I’m late to the party, and honestly, there isn’t much left to add beyond what’s already been said.
I do find it interesting that she has now decided to fully drop the mask and stop pretending this is a “business account,” because unless penguins are the newest addition to the therapeutic farm in Cork, there is absolutely no professional reason for that story.
I also find the shrinking time gap between these innuendos very interesting. After all, it was only a few days ago that she tried to convince us there are dogs that grow into completely different dogs, accompanied by the soundtrack of a man who could be anyone, but who we’re clearly meant to think is Sam. And we’re meant to think he made the effort to visit her during his free time.
Is this shrinking gap in any way connected to his tan and the sighting of his co-star at an airport in a coastal town in Spain around the same time everyone assumed he was on vacation? Asking for a friend.
And thank you again to Steph for answering everyone on Tumblr who wondered whether you’d be at the event on Sunday by following the event’s account that, for reasons still unclear, was even created in the first place. The communication here is getting so direct that eventually we might all become friends.
So as a potential friend, I’ll defend her for a second from everyone who thinks she’s simply trying to steal his thunder. I have absolutely no doubt that everything she posts is done with his knowledge, with his approval, and probably even at his request, as part of her job.
Well well… 🌞
For those who have been following along, the past few days have been rather interesting.
We had Sam appearing at a book event.
We had a new photo of Caitríona with a fan.
And, naturally, quite a few comments followed.
Particularly from those who couldn't help but notice a certain detail.
Now, of course, we are not supposed to ask questions.
We are not supposed to wonder where people have been.
We are certainly not supposed to connect dots.
And yet… almost on cue, a penguin appears on a certain Instagram story.
Funny timing.
Because if there is one thing this fandom has learned over the years, it is that distractions tend to arrive precisely when conversations start heading somewhere inconvenient.
Well…
Do you remember when MW created her professional Instagram account?
The lengthy captions. The carefully constructed image. The constant effort to present herself as a serious professional whose work supposedly extended far beyond a certain well-known narrative.
A complete rebrand, or so we were told.
And yet, somehow, whenever that account appears on the radar, it always seems to circle back to the same place.
This time?
Penguins.
A rather curious choice.
Because, as longtime observers know, Sam and Caitríona have a very long and very specific history involving penguins.
Which makes one wonder why a supposedly professional account would suddenly choose that particular image.
Or perhaps there is nothing curious about it at all.
Perhaps the reference was chosen precisely because everyone knows what it represents.
After all, when a narrative starts losing momentum, familiar symbols have a way of reappearing exactly when they're needed.
And if we're being asked to believe that this was completely random…
well, dear readers, I have a bridge in Scotland to sell you 😌
“We’re closer now because we choose to see each other.”
The first time I heard that line, I raised an eyebrow.
By the eighth time, or honestly I’ve lost count by now, it became very clear this was not some spontaneous, heartfelt answer. This is a talking point.
And since we’ve already talked about the obvious PR talking points in this promo cycle, especially around Caitriona suddenly being very open about her husband, her child, her family life, evil shippers, and her carefully labelled “working relationship” with Sam, I think it’s time we talk about this specific one.
Because it keeps coming back.
Again and again.
The line is basically this:
Now that they no longer work together every day, they are closer than before, because now they have to choose to see each other.
Sounds lovely, right?
Very mature. Very polished. Very safe.
But let’s actually unpack it.
They are asking us to believe that during eleven years of filming, when they spent months together, hours every day, in one of the most intimate working environments imaginable, there was somehow pressure that got in the way of the relationship. And now, when they no longer see each other daily, when Sam has an extremely busy schedule, when they presumably only meet every now and then, the relationship has deepened.
A bit strange, no?
Even stranger when you remember they were never just two co-workers who met from nine to five and then went home to separate lives.
From the very beginning, they were spending time together outside work. A lot.
And we only know the tip of the iceberg.
Pubs, both in groups and alone.
Hikes, alone and even with her sister.
At least three theatre outings that we know of, one with his mother.
Coffee shops.
A London meet-up with Graham.
Beach picnics.
Tennis.
Games.
Restaurants, including the double date with the Nicks.
A cocktail night during Covid.
And I’m not even including all the trips and overlaps we only discovered in hindsight.
So let me understand this.
All those times they spent together outside filming, they weren’t “choosing” each other?
Because that’s what this talking point seems designed to imply.
From a PR standpoint, it does two things.
First, it minimizes the relationship they had during filming. It gently reframes it as professional proximity, something created by work, pressure, and circumstance.
Which is absurd, considering everything listed above.
Second, it prepares the ground for any future sightings. If they are seen together now, it can be explained away very neatly:
“They’re just very close friends who choose to spend time together now.”
Convenient.
Now let’s go back about a year.
Around Sam’s birthday, he started being spotted in Battersea. Later, we find out he lives there. Conveniently, in the same area as his co-star.
Then there was that sighting by a Spanish fan outside a pub in the neighborhood, where someone sitting across from him looked very much like that same co-star.
Not long after, in at least two interviews, Sam mentioned that he had seen Caitriona in London for “one lovely lunch.”
Caitriona, meanwhile, framed their relationship as mostly texting.
So which is it?
Are they so close post show that Sam feels like she has brought him into her family?
Or are they mostly texting and meeting once in a while for a lovely lunch?
As they say, the math ain’t mathing.
And then, a couple of months after that sighting, the husband reappeared publicly after nearly a year of absence, alongside a new player that entered the game.
Timing is everything.
You’d think that if this is truly just a close friendship, and nothing more, they wouldn’t mind taking a quick selfie during one of those meetups and making millions of fans happy during a very long Droughtlander.
After all, that’s what close friends from pretty much every other show do.
And yet, for some reason, they haven’t posted a photo of themselves together outside of set in years.
Lastly, just because whoever is advising them apparently thinks none of us have actual social lives, I’d genuinely love to know: have you ever felt that a friendship in your life became deeper because you only saw that person once every few months?
And more than that, have you ever spoken about that “deepening” so openly, not just to each other, but to millions of strangers?
I’m combining a few anons who asked for my take on the couples therapy bloopers.
Honestly? I was surprised. Not because of the chemistry, that’s always there. What surprised me was the level of intimacy, and how instinctively, quickly, and naturally they sank into it, when as far as we know they haven’t been touching like that in over a year and a half. Even stable couples who haven’t been physically close in a while usually have a second of hesitation, a beat of finding the rhythm again. Here, it looked like they didn’t miss a step.
And it wasn’t casual contact, either. Caitriona acted like it was the most natural thing in the world to press her thigh to his, to squeeze his knee (we’ll get back to that), to run her fingers through his hair, touch his cheek, hook her leg around him. And on his end, he was acting like her lips were the most fascinating thing he’s seen in the last year.
When it’s inside the sketch, you can still argue “fine,” they’re actors, they’re performing, it’s for the bit. But we’re talking about the bloopers. The out of character moments. The breaks. And even then they kept their faces close, kept hands on legs, kept that gentle thumb movement on his knee.
And the moment that, for me, told the whole story in two seconds was when they were reading the script and Caitriona, without even noticing, squeezed his knee in a way you can’t explain away as part of the sketch, not as “siblings,” and not even as “best friends.” Honestly, especially not as best friends. The casualness of it, and the fact that he didn’t flinch, didn’t shift, like it’s completely normal for them, said everything.
And then in promo we’re being sold “home,” loving spouses, Instagram stories. How many partners, even partners of actors, would be fine seeing their partner behave like this with their “best friend”? Especially when it’s just a comedy sketch, where boundaries could easily have been set if they wanted to.
It felt like we saw them in their natural environment, with a host they like and feel comfortable with, and “being themselves” seems to mean a level of ease and physical intimacy that doesn’t really make sense for friends. Everything else is the story they tell around it.
As always, you were absolutely spot on! Such a perfect post. The way they are with each other feels so natural, so effortless… it’s literally like Cait once said… "close to home" 💙
Well… have we officially entered the era of coordinated insinuations now? 👀
Overacting
Ah yes… the beloved "organic comments."
Nothing says spontaneity quite like the exact same tone, same structure, same timing… all appearing under a post within minutes. A remarkably consistent pattern by now.
One must admire the dedication of the team assigned to the task. Truly committed to making everything feel as natural and authentic as possible.
And yet… somehow, the scent of a carefully assembled briefing still lingers in the air.
I think the best gift we can give ourselves is to stop giving this circus a platform. Let them perform to an empty audience.
I’ll say it plainly: don’t believe everything you see. You have no idea how desperate they are to sell this broken product. Just don’t buy it.
Let’s focus on the genuinely good things we did get, and still will get. Let’s enjoy Jamie and Claire one last time, and even if one of the show’s stars couldn’t bring himself to honor this ending properly, we can. Let’s give Jamie and Claire the respect and goodbye they deserve.
What remains consistently entertaining, is not necessarily the narrative itself… but the TIMING of it all.
Because truly, what an extraordinarily organic way to "soft launch" a relationship from someone who has spent years carefully cultivating the image of privacy. The same person who repeatedly reminds the public to be cautious online, insisting that social media is rarely what it seems.
And yet, almost magically, at the exact moment fans were emotional, nostalgic, and waiting for farewell tributes to the actor who brought Jamie Fraser to life, precisely as the rest of the cast was doing - this suddenly becomes the chosen moment for a "personal" post.
Curious timing, isn’t it?
Particularly when we are speaking about someone who rarely shares anything remotely personal to begin with.
But perhaps that is exactly the point.
Because in this fandom, timing has never truly been accidental. Certain appearances emerge exactly when needed. Certain narratives quietly resurface when emotions are heightened. And somehow, old props always seem to make their grand return right on cue.
The Dodgers cap. The pink headphones. Familiar photos.
And for those of us who have been watching this little theatre production for years now… well, none of it feels particularly new.
Still, one must admire the consistency of the script.
And of course… we also cannot forget Jennifer Allen quietly accompanying SH throughout these latest events, and this one especially.
So truly, good luck on this new/old chapter.
Some audiences may be discovering the story for the first time.
Others, however, already know every single line by heart.
