Saki’s BoS: To Banish an Evil Spirit

So lately I’ve been trying to come up with a spell & sigil combo to get rid of some evil spirits that were roaming around my house and causing some trouble. After some browsing on Tumblr, I wasn’t quite satisfied with that I had found and took my search to Pinterest. I tried to find the initial post to link it here but it’s no use.

If you find yourself having an evil spirit roaming around your house, or over at someone else’s house and you can clearly see that their presence is a nuisance, draw this sigil on your hand, the floor or wall (with a chalk preferably) or wherever you please. Draw this sigil:

Once it has been done, chant this spell:

Evil spirit standing tall,

It’s time you made your greatest fall,

Return to Hell where evil plight,

I banish you with this holy light.

Now go away and leave my sight,

And take with you this endless night.

Cleanse the space as you like to get rid of the bad energies that could still be lingering. Now you should be free of this spirit’s presence. Feel free to let me know if it worked for you.

🌙 banishing negativity spell 🌙

⭐️banishing spell :

* a bowl

* paper

* a lighter

* an incent

* a black marker

* sage ( for cleansing )

⭐️Procedures :

* gather all materials

* Draw out sigils for cleansing and banishing

* light incent to set the mood and to open your mind

* place the sigils and sage into bowl

* write out what you want to banish with black marker on a piece of paper, then place into bowl.

* use the lighter and light it all on fire, then allow the papers and sage to burn.

* close your eyes and pour your negativity into the fire.

* once the mix has burned completely, use the ashes to draw a cleansing sigil on your skin.

* take a shower and wash the sigil to activate it.

This is my first ever spell so please, if you have any feedback i would love to hear it!

Banishment Spell: “Keep my name out of your mouth.”

This spell is for witches that have had to deal with certain people tarnishing their names, perhaps by spreading rumours or spilling secrets.

In this angry little spell you need…

Preferably a black candle (I didn’t have one and wanted to get this done ASAP, I tied a black ribbon around a white tealight)

A dish or bowl to hold your candle and ingredients

A photograph of your ‘target’

Cayenne pepper - Commonly used for banishment and protection

Peppermint - For cleansing and banishment

First, lay down your pan/dish/bowl/etc and add the cayenne and peppermint.

Place the candle on top of it and light it, putting all of your negative energies towards the flame.

Take your photograph, and use tongs to hold it over the flame. If you can’t acquire a photo, you can write their full name onto blank paper and use that instead. As the paper burns, focus your intentions - “you do not speak my name.”

When the photo is reduced to ash, mix it in with the other ingredients. Now you can either bottle it and hide the jar away, or you can throw it to the wind and let it carry away your burdens.

🕯️🌿 banishing spell to break someone’s hold over you 🌿🕯️

I’m in a time of transition right now, and as I’m going through all of these big changes, I realized that I was being held back by certain unresolved relationships in my past. I designed this spell as a way of letting go of those people and freeing myself of their influences, so that I can move forward without all this emotional baggage.

What You Will Need:

a small black candle (used for banishing negative influences)

a piece of paper with the name of the person or thing you want to let go of written on it

sage (for cleansing and purification)

an obsidian stone (associated with psychic cleansing, protection, grounding, and personal transformation) (side note: this is also one of my favorite stones to meditate with!)

Optional Components:

fresh or dried basil (wards off negativity, promotes love and happiness, and is associated with peace in many cultures)

a selenite crystal (an extremely powerful cleansing stone, especially for cleansing emotional energies)

a rose quartz crystal (associated with forgiveness, healing, and compassion) (if you don’t have rose quartz, I would recommend using a pink spell candle to bring the energy of compassion and forgiveness into the spell.)

I had two different people I wanted to let go of, so I had two black candles and two pieces of paper. Ordinarily, you should just need one of everything.

Note: This ritual involves setting objects on fire. For this reason, I recommend performing it outside.

Casting the Spell:

Begin by getting yourself into the right mood for magic. Maybe meditate for a few minutes, put on some instrumental music, burn your favorite incense, etc.

Take a moment to ground and center yourself.

Cleanse your space. You can do this by lighting your sage and wafting its smoke around yourself, your tools, and your general area. Close your eyes, inhale the smoke, and feel yourself being cleansed and blessed.

Light your black candle. As you do so, begin thinking about the person or thing you want to let go of, of the effect they have had on your life, and of the reason(s) you need to be free of their influence.

Take the piece of paper with the person or thing’s name written on it, and hold it over the candle flame. PLEASE BE CAREFUL NOT TO BURN YOURSELF. Hold the paper over the flame only long enough for it to light, and then set it down on the ground. It should continue to burn.

As you watch the paper burn, recite the following incantation: “[Name]’s hold over me is broken. He/she/they/it has no power over me. I am free of his/her/their/its influence.”

Repeat this incantation as many times as feels right to you. If you follow my blog, you know that I like to work with the number nine in my magic, so I repeated it nine times.

Allow yourself to feel all of the pain and frustration that this person or thing has caused in your life. Acknowledge these feelings – they are a normal and valid part of our emotional healing process, but they are no longer serving you. You have passed the phase in healing where they are useful. Focus on these feelings for a moment, and then let them go. Feel them being carried away from you, leaving you free of their weight.

If you chose to include basil, use the candle’s flame to light it. Watch the smoke rise and smell its sweet aroma. Feel peace and happiness flowing into you to replace all the pain you’ve just let go of. (Again, be careful not to burn yourself!)

Once you feel at peace, blow out your black candle to end the ritual. I find that with banishings and other “letting go” or “getting rid of” spells, it’s best not to prolong the spell any longer than necessary. Do what you need to do, and then end the ritual. Don’t give these negative influences any more or your time and attention than you absolutely have to.

Light your sage again, and do one final cleansing of yourself and your space. This will make sure that you are cleared of any lingering negativity, and I feel like it kind of just puts a “final seal” on the powerful cleansing you’ve just done.

This spell is all about your healing and personal growth. It’s not about removing the other person from your life, or wishing any harm on them – it is simply a way of cutting the ties that allow them to control you. Because of this, I find that this spell works best after the person or thing you want to let go of is no longer a part of your life, and after you’ve had some time to process your emotions and allow yourself to grieve. Pain has its place, and sometimes we need to allow ourselves to feel it instead of trying to get rid of it immediately.

A Chant for Protecting Yourself and Taking your Power Back

To all those who need recovery after a psychic/karmic attack, feel as though you are powerless and you need that little extra magical push, or merely for those who have had a not-so-good day,

Nightmare Jar Recipe

Here is a fantastic nightmare jar that has been of tremendous use for me and my friends and family. I will say this - it only lasts about a year before you will need to make a new one.

Ingredients

1 small jar you can seal

~8 in. Black Yarn

3-10 strands of hair from the person you are trying to protect

8-20 sharp objects like rusty nails, broken glass, etc.

Salt

Lavender

Mint

Rose Petals (optional)

Bay Leaves

Candle

Sharpie

Directions

Start by placing the hair into the vessel. This tricks whatever is causing the nightmares into the jar. Then put in the sharp objects to poke and prod the negativity and trap it in the jar once and for all.

Next, put in your herbs. Mint and lavender are meant to bring restful and calm sleep, and the bay leaves are meant for cleansing and keeping evil at bay. The rose petals will bring dreams of love.

SIDE NOTE: In my experience, the rose petals brought a lot of insanely sexual dreams. So take that and do what you want with it.

Now add about half of your salt. The black yarn absorbs the negative energies. Wrap it up in a little ball and drop it into the jar, visualizing the negativity being sucked into a black hole. Pour the remaining salt into the jar and seal it with wax from your candle.

Feel free to write inscribe protective runes or sigils into the jar with the sharpie if you so choose.

Charge the nightmare jar in the light of the moon, and keep near the bed. A window sill is best as it will need to be recharged from time to time.

Black Out Vision Spell-a simple spell to stop someone from looking for/thinking of you

Ok, TBH I did this on the fly when I got sudden inspiration. This was aimed at an undesirable suitor.

Items:

Black/banishing candle candle (for wax)

Black/banishing ribbon/thread

Paper

Black pen

Name of person

Spit

Waning moon (optional)**

Somewhere dark to place it

Method

Light candle. On a small piece of paper write the person’s name you want to go away.

Underneath draw an eye, to represent their sight, so to speak (doesn’t have to be pretty or detailed)

Using the pen, black out the eye completely, while saying things like, “ I blacken your vision, you cannot and do not see me, you do not think of me at all. I blind you of my presence, etc.” I made it up as I went.

Spit on the black eye ( if you do it before blacking it out, it will be difficult… I made that mistake)

Fold it up as much you can or want, to seal and trap.

Tie the black ribbon over the folded paper and pour the black candle wax onto it to seal.

This step depends on your practice. I put it in a small black box (until I want to dispose of it) but others may want to bury or burn it.
