Trans man, he/him 175cm/ 5' 9" Mystical/Hot Lives in a studio apartment, it's mess because of his own struggles with cleaning the place. not sure what he does, used to a musician and in a choir as a teen.

His birth name was something that made him feel dehumanized so he changed it to mean skill, mystical powers might be inherited but he wants his strength come from himself and not by some ethereal gift. Although his name is not really changed yet and works as a nickname for now, Tabitha couldn't find his birth name, his socials didn't use the legal name.

Vivian was not the best mother by normal standards but this wasn't going to be a normal life to her child, it was good luck that Dex grew up to be this well raised, another timeline has a lot more suffering and the person he grows up to be is very different She might have been mystical and street smart, maybe was friends with The Witch's daughter but not with The Witch herself.

Communication is a bit challenging, he masks away his interests of spirits, fate, anything supernatural and tries to tone down his humor that being him saying something unsettling sometimes. He thinks of himself as a cryptid with a human disguise sometimes, it helps a bit.

He's very confused about relationships and considers himself as aro/ace. There just hasn't been anyone really close to him. He's approachable but friendships usually lasted the time he spent anywhere, was it school, hobbies or work, they never got more than being friends from those places.

He does have people that he considered family, a step dad and his two kids that are older than Dexter. Did Vivian get married? in this world, maybe. Step dad is a janitor and Dex worked for him for few summers. He knew his step family his whole life what he can remember, but they aren't super close, they only know that he's visiting family for a week. These people are something that Tabitha also doesn't know or doesn't want to accept that her cousin has people to return to, it's not like they really are his family.

One trait that I didn't tell, Street Smart. She pretends to be a himbo/gn. She knows she's no mastermind, but she can lie so well that it mixes in with her speak. Her strength is her muscles that she makes look smaller than they are, her good looks that gives her a lot of allies and the right words to use. Almost every sentence she says has a lie in it, or doesn't have any weight to it, so she has been able to get on Tabby's good side

Her plan is to throw Tabitha under the bus, quite literally, but figuratively also works as she learned that making the town hate her is pretty easy, it was her idea to leave the kids to the mines, not that she would have done the same.

some theatrics in the library and Tabby went to become old, poor her, it's deserved.

Romances aren't truly her thing, it's more like a tool to her. So I really felt awful flirting with Reese, not only that but he's dead. I could say he dodged a bullet but not really plan to get Tabby chomped failed

Lorelei respects Kaneeka and that's why any romantic feelings are unnecessary

Avery seems like the only person whom she would romance now but it wouldn't really be sincere, just a fling

She didn't like Wayne that much but possessed Isaacs is kinda nice, maybe he's better, they both have a similar goal and he doesn't smell like death

Stella is gone, she was found on Thursday with tabby but only Lori went to talk to her, told that tabby left

Julius dies after Duke hits him with the axe

the baby is a monster but it's not her concern

Kaneeka was convinced not get sacrificed, Lori made her talk herself into a realizing that sybil killed her dad after mentioning that she's supposed to be a skeptic. One question was all it took.

What about her as a person?

she seems like a backstabber bimbo and the reason for that is the way she was raised. Vivian told so often about her side of the family and how awful everyone was. Lori got to learn about Eddie and the estate, maybe even about the cell but that she thought that was just a scare tactic or a metaphor. She was completely okay leaving that part oh her but then Pearlanne died and she went on a hitman mentality to the Holler

I think her style would be sports wear with some alternative fashion sprinkled in

If she wasn't so locked in to kill her cousin she would actually have a personality

I know that Emilie autimn's Liar (Manic Depressive Mix) would fit her, some other songs would as well, like Opheliac and Nothing.

And it’s called SearXNG. It’s a metasearch engine, so it takes information from whatever providers you select and presents it to you as Google might but without ads or tracking, and you can pick which sources it searches, so you could only search Wikipedia and scihub and worldcat and whatnot by default

I’m noticing an increase in new fic writers on AO3 who…uh…mayy not know how to format their fics correctly..so here is a quick and VERY important tip

Using a random fic of mine as example..

Idk how many times I’ve read a good fic summary and been so excited to read before clicking on it and being met with an ugly wall of text. When I see a huge text brick with zero full line breaks my eyes blur and I just siiiigh bc either I click out immediately or I grin and bear it…it’s insufferable!

If a new character speaks, you need a line break. If you notice a paragraph is becoming too large, go ahead and make a line break and/or maybe reconfigure the paragraph to flow better. I’m not a pro writer or even a huge fic writer but…please…ty…

This is a good thing to keep in mind! It is often and unfortunate that a really good fic doesn’t get love because its formatting makes it too difficult to read!

I think I figured out why this happens!

AO3's posting form has two modes: Rich Text and HTML. the vast majority of people write in Rich Text editors, aka any normal word processing software (MS Word, Google Docs, Apple Pages, what have you). but when you first open it, the posting form opens in HTML view. if you paste formatted text into HTML view, it erases every piece of formatting, including paragraph spacing.

this is an easy fix. when you go to post your fic, make sure the posting form looks like this:

and please spread the word! this is an important piece of computer literacy that nobody is teaching to the new generations and they deserve to know

and the reverse happens when pasting from some places (google doc, ms word) into rich-text where it doubles the spaces between lines. If you look at the html it generates </p><p> </p><p> tags - an extra paragraph containing a single space, which you can search and replace down to a single </p><p> (end paragraph, start new one).

Also, since sometimes working with the rich text editor can be a pain even when copy-pasting from another rich text editor, there is a Google Docs script that will format your document in HTML and make it appropriate for posting into the AO3 html editor. I swear by this and I use it every time I post to AO3. It's literally just a specific Google doc that you can make a copy of that includes a script where you just select a menu option and it will automatically convert formatting to HTML, and using this script + pasting into the HTML editor has bypassed the issues of "extra line breaks between paragraphs" and "a space after italics where there shouldn't be" for me.

The original google doc is here and it includes directions both for getting a copy of it into your own google drive and for using it to prepare your fic for posting on AO3.

Also be aware that if you write in Scrivener it will not keep your formatting when you paste it into AO3, even in the Rich Text editor.

There's a reason I'm only writing one fic in Scrivener (it's the timey wimey one where I need the corkboards function on Scrivener in order to function).

adding on that if you use ellipsus (online alternative to Google docs) there is a native "export to ao3" function which automatically copies an html version of your fic including the spacing and formatting and opens a new tab for a new work in ao3. Just paste into the text box and you'll be set!
