I was reading all about the Japanese futon you got and I’m tempted to get one as my bedroom is teeny tiny. However I just purchased a new mattress less than a month ago and I don’t want to be wasteful. The struggle is real out here lol
The futon is nice, I like it a lot, if you just got a bed, keep the bed and move to the futon later on or something, the struggle is definitely real, I am actually moving to Portland in a few months to get out of the busy city... if you have any questions I am here for yah!!
What makes a Bad day, bad week, a bad month, or even a bad year? It is the last few days of 2018 and we are all looking back at what has happened in the last 12 months and some of us are horrified.
A lot of bad things have happened this year. There was over 350 mass shootings, in the USA alone. The California fires destroyed countless lives. Brett Kavanaugh, tsunamis in Indonesia, the dissolving of the EPA, and in my personal life, my great grandmother passed away, and I got in a really bad car accident that left me battered and bruised, without a car and now I have no job.
You may say that 2018 was a shitty year, and it defiantly was for many people and me included. But a lot of good came of this year as well. I am here to say that there is still hope for us. Kinda. Even when bad things happen that doesn’t mean that you cant move through the muck and grime and come out the other side.
2019 is right around the corner, and we now can start over. Odd number years tend to be better for me. 2013 was an amazing year for me, great friends, started my first successful YouTube channel. 2014 was terrible, lost my family, and my friends, became homeless and lost everything, 2015 I came out as Queer and became who I always was meant for me. 2016, enough said. 2017 I moved back to LA with my friends, got my dream car, and started my modeling career. 2018 kicked my butt with credit card debt, depression, death, loss of cars, and much much more. So 2019 will be my year. I am planning to move out to Portland by myself and start over. My abusive family doesn’t have my phone number and won’t know where I am living, so thus I will have no contact with the people that have abused me. I will also be buying my Tesla next year, and I will live in a place where I feel like myself.
Go out and make 2019 a better day, and year. Go out and achieve all of your dreams and even when bad things happen make sure you look at it from a new perspective.
Hello, I know it’s been a long time since I’ve posted. There has been a lot of things go wrong. Over the last few months I started working full time, got into a relationship, got out of a relationship, and two days ago, lost my car in a really really bad car accident.
You could say things are bad, or even terrible and they, in some way are bad, but that doesn’t mean my life is over or it ruined my life. Yes, it is an inconvenience and I am in a lot of pain, but this time is a time for me to rest, recover, and figure out what to do next.
When things go wrong we tend to blame ourselves, or even others for our downfalls and our dips in our happiness/life. This is not the way, all memes aside; we must take each thing and each day, one by one. I am not going to die because I can not do Lyft for a few weeks while I get the car stuff sorted out. My life is not over because my relationship didn’t work out. Life goes on.
The things that go wrong in our life are not going to ruin it all for you. The key to having inconvenient things go on is to let them pass by and not have them have any effect on you. We have have things that we don’t like to happen in our life but we can’t have it ruin your day.
Two days ago, I was on my way to the mall to check out the Tesla Model S and do a test drive when I got into a really bad accident. My car was totaled and I now no longer have a car or a way to do Lyft. I work about 60 Hours a week and make about 1100-1200 a week while I drive. I love my job, and now I am stuck at home, with no transportation. No worries though, I will be back on the road in a few weeks and will be continuing working my 60+ hours a week and saving up for my Tesla and my cost for moving to Portland.
To wrap this up, I encourage you all that are going through inconveniences to take a deep breath and take it one day at a time, you will get through it and get past it. Thank you for reading and sharing, I will be writing more here and there since I am now stuck at home. I appreciate you all and wish you all a amazing day.
Do you have any advice for getting out of debt if you are living month to month?
Actually yes! What I suggest for you to do is to start a side hustle to make a few extra $100 per month!
I know that it can be difficult to get outta debt if you are spending every ounce you have to bills but the things you can do are either make more with some side job OR cut down on the things that you are spending on that you shouldn’t be(ie food, subscription services, and leisure activities).
Trust me, I know how hard it is to get out of debt and make enough to cover all you have.. I actually suggest that you start saving about 5%-10% from every check and putting it into a savings fund. I personally use a online bank called Chime. They are absolutely amazing. There are no fees whatsoever and when you sign up with my link and have your payroll go into your account($200+ in the first 45 days) you get $50 cash from chime! For free! If you wanna check them out click here.
That really helped me with stuff and it will start to build up and once you have some real money in there you can either do the things you want(like eat out, leisure, etc), or you can start by using that extra money to pay off your debt.
Also, I suggest that you get a credit consolidation account to pay off your cards. The thing I use to pay off my personal debt is a app/website called tally.
What really does is round up all of your credit accounts, and cards and they pay them off for you(pay the creditors) and then you pay your Tally balance(or whatever your minimum is). They give you a lower % APR and in result will save you money in the ping run. I have saved over $400 with their services in the past few months. If you, or anyone wants to sign up for that click here. When you do you also get a $20 Amazon Gift card when approved.
I hope this helps. If you have any further questions please feel free to ask!
Hello, We all fall off the wagon from time to time. Rather it is eating healthy, excising, or even being around the people in your life that are toxic. For me, I recently have fallen behind on keeping myself in shape and, rather than moaning about it I have decided that i am going to do something about it.
This can go for anything though, getting into shape is just my one thing that I want to do for myself. For you it could be anything, from eating better, to being around more people, etc..
The point of this is to show you that no matter what happens you can get back on the horse and make everything that you want come true. Say you want to learn an instrument but never have gotten around to it. Take lessons. If you want to start eating vegan, or at least a more healthy diet, do it. I know you can, trust me.
Taking care of yourself is one of the greatest things that you can do for your health and well being. If you neglect yourself and your physical and mental health it can lead to being super unhappy. I used to be this way. I used to not eat well, or take care of myself in any way and I was so unhappy and sad. Since becoming Vegan, starting to exercise, and having regular check-ins with how I am personally doing I have been able to be happier in almost every aspect of my life.
Take some time for yourself. Don’t take things so seriously. Make yourself feel special.
So today, for the first time in I am not sure how long, I was late. So I got booked today for a background gig today and I had to be on set at or before 8:45. Now, the studio is about a 15 minute drive, or a 45-50 minute bus ride. Since, I do not have a car, I am stuck with the Bus until I can save up enough money to get me my car.
Today I woke up around 8:10 because I slept through my alarm. The frequency of me sleeping through my alarm is about 1 out of every 200 times. I am usually very punctual and arrive to places early. For some reason today, I decided that I would just sleep in and miss this gig. It is not a issue, no I have enough to cover rent and I am in the process of getting a job as we speak, but this doesn’t mean being late is okay. When you are late you are telling the person you made plans with that you didn’t plan ahead(and I know this isn’t always the case). So, to combat this, if you are going to be late just text the person that you have your meeting with and apologize for being late and usually they won’t mind waiting an extra 2-5 minutes. Because in all reality it isn’t a big deal.
Most people that tend to be late don’t mean it so you shouldn’t get mad or anything if they are, things sometimes are out of your control. Like today, I woke up late for work. If I were to leave my house, I would maybe get there 5 minutes late and probably not get into the studio as a result. Which means, I would have to go back home. In this, I would be wasting money that I have carefully budgeted.
The point I am trying to make is being late is inconvenient for you, like I am not working and not making money today. It is also a strain on other people and their schedules. It can cause more and more problems as time goes on.
To wrap this up, to avoid this problem and never be late again the fix is simple. Just leave 30 minutes to a hour before you are supposed to then you will always be their early or on time and you avoid all of these problems.

You Aren’t Entitled to Anything - All We Get is Peace
There is nothing that we are born entitled to. So many people think that we deserve a better job, paycheck, to be in a relationship, have a nice house, car, etc.. All we are actually entitled to is to have peace and be happy. We deserve nothing from this material world. The universe does not owe you anything.
If you can get past the thought process you will become happier with this life and the things in it. I meet so many people that are so caught up in the world and their material possessions they forget how good they have it. I am not saying that your life is awesome and your trials and hardships don’t matter. I am saying that no matter what happens it is you going to sleep at the end of each day and you have to be happy with yourself.
We aren’t born with objects, possessions, or anything for that matter. When we are born we are at peace. We sleep, we eat, and we are happy. That’s all we are given in life. We are given one thing in this life, and that is the right of having peace. If you can achieve peace in this life you will realize that is the only thing you need.
Trust me, take this as motivation to find peace within yourself and your life. If you live out today at peace with yourself and who you are, you will go to bed happy. When I realized this face I became happier with my situations, and surroundings. I used to worry about having a nice job, car, house, and more. When I took a step back and looked at myself I realized that I was a happier person and more okay with myself.
Take this as encouragement to find something that you enjoy and find peace within yourself. I hope you find value in this, thank you for your time and I hope you have a peaceful day, I love ya’ll.
So, I have been living in LA for about a year now and I almost exclusively ride the bus to get to work, and do anything else that I do in my day to day life. By this, I am saving hundreds on insurance, car payments, and gasoline which all adds up.
If you spend less on transport you have more to do the things that you want to do. For me, I am saving up for a actual car, but I’m waiting for the cheaper one to come out and until then, the bus it is. If you can manage to save all of the money you would be paying into something like that in a few years you can actually just afford to buy it with cash.
There is nothing more rewarding then buying something outright with cash. It is an amazing feeling and trust me, if you take your time and do the cheaper thing now you will be able to do more in the future.
How To Spend Your Money - A Guild to Managing Your Money
Hello, I am here to share something with you today that I recently learned and it really is helping me with how I spend, save, and invest my money. These are crucial tips that I doubt that most of you know, or even have heard about.
There are three types of people.
The 5%
The generational wealth: These people are the ones who inherent their money from a previous family member. No, they are not the top 1% of people but they are the people that generally start out with a net worth of over 5 Million.
The 15%
The Middle Class: The people who work hard for their money, they can buy a house and a car. They live comfortably in their lives and manage their money well.
The 80%
These are the people who have to work until the day they die. These are the people who can not really afford to retire and usually rely upon their families to take care of them financially when they are older.
The Majority of people will end their life in this 80%.
Most people, when they get paid deposit all they make into a personal checking account. They then tend to say to themselves; “Well I have this money now, its time for me to reward myself with something.” Now, this isn’t bad on its own but it will leave you at the end realizing that you needed to make a change sooner.
When you want to manage your money you want to diversify it. But before I show you that, I am going to tell you the MOST important thing you will hear today or even ever.
Get rid of your personal checking account. Unless you want to pay taxes for the rest of your life, and if you do, I thank you. Working for someone else actually hurts you, and benefits your boss.
What you should do about this.
Start a corporation
This way you pay corporation taxes and business taxes are less the more you make.
It is a better way to files your taxes(Because you have to pay them)
Be your Own Boss
You get the freedom of having then things that you want, with a better schedule and there is nothing more rewarding than working for yourself.
What the 15% do:
They have Checks. Not just one, many. Coming from multiple sources.
When you get paid(What you should do):
Checks
Go into Business Account
33% Taxes
Yes, you HAVE to pay taxes.
This is an account dedicated to paying those taxes(the % will be different depending on the country you live in)
33% Business Expenses
Depending on Budget.
Every business is different so maybe its more, maybe its less.
The less it is the more you have to go into investments.
34% Home Account
This goes to pay for home expenses and more.
Car Payment, Mortgage, personal expenses
Most people, when they get their checks, don’t diversify them. They believe that all the money they made is theirs and forget about taxes, and other factors that come into play and can cause issues down the line.
This is what the 5% do:
This is one thing nobody talks about. If you want to become wealthy, talk about money. There are so many people that are afraid to talk about money. Have you even stopped to consider that money is taboo in our society. Event though it is the most ‘important’ thing we have. Most people don’t realize that money is worthless without purpose. It is only useful when used for something good. Listen to this:
Money is a tool, you must know how to use it.
What you should do with your money:
Big check goes to business account.
33% goes to taxes.
33% goes to expenses (based on budget).
34% goes into Investment account.
It is your Financial hub
Where money comes in and is divided again
I know all of this may seem daunting but if you live like the rich you will become rich too(Not by spending but by investing). I hope these tips come to you in a time of peace and help you in the future. Below are some things that also can help you but didn’t flow into my post:
Other Notes:
Credit Card Debt at 19% APR is Dumb Debt
This is money you OWE that you didn’t have in the first place.
Having a Mortgage at 3.5% APR is smart debt
This is money that you are putting into something that can make you money in the future
Thank you so much for supporting and caring for what I do here. If you want to support me you can follow me, or even do more by donating to my Patreon. Thank you so much!
So I applied for my Car loan today. It’s a day I have been looking forward to for three or four years now. For those who don’t know, I am purchasing a Tesla Model 3 and going on the road for the next year. All I’ve ever wanted is this car and I am finally getting it. I legit am so anxious and nervous to get this car.
The biggest hurdle in all of this is getting the loan. I know I can make as much money as I can, pay the bills and more. This is the biggest purchase I’ve ever made and it scares me. That doesn’t mean I won’t do it. I will by the power of god and the universe get approved for this and I’ll be getting it in about a month!
Buying a car might be the biggest thing any of us do. It can screw us over, it can increase our credit, it can do so many things. As of right now, I am trembling and super anxious about all of this and I just want to get this car and be successful.
The point of this post isn’t to say I am afraid, I am excited. I am here to tell you all that if you want something then you should just jump and go for it!
If you are wanting to do something then please, oh please just do it. Don’t give into the stress or anything else. Just do you. When stress comes in, fight through it, and you will get on the other side. Don’t fear the unknown and achieve all your dreams! I love you namaste.
Yes, it’s scary, yes its risky. Trust me, do it and you’ll thank me later. What I am talking about here is just doing the thing that scares you. Just do it, because if you don’t you may regret it later.
I am currently in the process of buy a car, and it’s a lot of a car. I’m getting a Tesla Model 3 and I am working on getting financing, insurance, and pay for fees. It’s a hell of a lot to deal with.
I’m going to do it regardless of how messy it can get. This is something I want and have wanted for a hell of a long time. I am super excited to get it and be able to drive it. I will be doing Uber almost full time while I travel. I am going to vlog it all and manage everything at the same time.
All I want to do is travel the world and this is my chance to do it. What better time than now to get my dream car, while I’m young enough to get it and use it forever.
This scares me though. I am afraid to do it because of cost and credit, debt etc. What I want to in this essay is, even if your scared if you have a plan and a reason to do it; then Jump.
This probably sounds weird but there are some things that you need if you are going to be a minimalist. Yes, I am going to be writing an article discussing the things that every minimalist needs in their life.
1.) Clothing
Some people will say that you need a specific amount or number or cloths/outfits. I am here to tell you that this is just not true. What I am telling you is that you only need a few well-made pieces that can be mixed and matched with each other to make countless combinations.
Its not about getting rid of everything you own, or live without something. I am saying that you need to get down to your roots. What are the cloths that you like to wear?
Here is a guild to help you out:
If the item is not something you think you will actually wear. Let it go.
When you wear something and you don’t like how it looks on you. Let it go.
It makes you feel bad or not like yourself. Let it go.
If it looked good on you in the store but not at home. Let it go.
If you have not worn it in over a year, let it go(See The 90/90 Rule for my tips).
If it is a “someday” item that in reality you will never use/wear. Let it go.
If you planned your Outfits for the next 2 weeks and its not in there. Let it go.
So we are attached to objects and items of all kinds and we are taught that we are identified by these objects. Some of us think that we will be a new person and thus we need it now. This is simply not true, You don’t change with the cloths you wear. I mean not on the inside. You are still you no matter what you wear. If you find yourself trying to change who you are by the way you look, to fill some void in you then you need to change yourself from the inside because that is the problem.
2.) Books
I know we all say we need to read more and this may be true, but unless you want to have an entire library, and actually sit down and read all the books that you own more than 5-10 times each, let it go.
Remember, a book that you ready that changed your life could be given to someone else after you read it and change them as well.
By all means, keep the books that you want to keep, the ones from your childhood maybe. But don’t hoard and never use them.
I suggest, because many of you are like me, to invest in something like Audible, and when you sign up with my link you get a 30 day trial and two free audio books that you get to keep forever even if you don’t keep audible!
You don’t need it if you don’t use it. If you want to have the luxury of having a library but not waste the space, keep the ones you want on hand and for everything else I suggest signing up for audible for free! Click here for your 30 day trial.
3.) Decor:
We all see those cool aesthetic pictures on Pintrest and Tumblr but I will tell you that minimalism isn’t about filling your walls up with pictures. Minimalism is having items with a purpose. Yes you need some things to make your wall not look barren but don’t overdo it!
The things That you have don’t need to go unless it gives no value or enjoyment.
If you don’t want something anymore maybe just gift it to a friend and then have them get use out of it!
When you are out shopping and see something that you like in the local store. Don’t just jump and buy it unless yo feel that it will give you joy to your life!
4.) Dishware
Please oh please don’t be the person that has 10 mismatched sets of dishware or silverware. Please, just get one nice set of glass dishes, silverware, and a set of pots and pans. That’s all you need.
5.) Notebook
Yes, be part of that aesthetic Tumblr and Instagram trend and get field notes! Trust me, it is defiantly a bonus to be able to write down thoughts and ideas, contacts, and more when your out. This way you’re off your phone and you get a physical reminder of things you have to do.
6.) Phone
Sort of self exclamatory but, don’t go getting something you don’t need or something that does more than you need. I have a iPhone Xs right now, it has all of the same things that my iPhone X had, to the T. The only reason I upgraded was because I didn’t need 256G or storage and wanted to downgrade to something cheaper, and better suited for me.
7.) Computer
Again, something that everyone needs. I have this massive desktop that is perfect for me at home, but I know when I go on the road in a few months I will need to get me a new Macbook and use that to edit videos, and podcasts alongside write blog posts. Again, don’t go buy something that you don’t need in a pc, just get the thing that will allow you to do all the things you need.
8.) Internet
You should get the fastest internet connection that you can afford. Rather it is the fastest service at home or a mobile hot spot for when you’re on the go. It is terrible to have slow internet and if you do most of your work online than its even more important.
9.) Suitcase
I can not stress this enough. Please just go buy one. You do not need 5 suitcases in your home. I know many people have so many things that they need to pack in the suitcases but I am here to tell you that you do not need all of them! You only need one. For me, being a minimalist. I use the Pakt Bag. It is a all in one minimalist suitcase that can hold literally everything I own that I would need to travel. From my laptop, to three weeks of cloths, my shoes, and more.
The coolest thing about this thing. It is able to be taken on planes as a carry on and with the recent changes to checking baggage and paying for it and its a hassle to get the bag back. The duffel bag design is small enough to fit under your seat and or the overhead. Alongside this it has easy access to all of the things you pack when you need it.
10.) Car
We all need a car. Enough said. For me I am in the process of saving up to get a Tesla Model 3 and hit the road on a year long vacation(While working in between). I suggest for you guys to do the same!
Now, I know that it may be a bit daunting to say “I am going to buy a Tesla” but here’s the thing. with a starting price of $35,000, and the amount you get back in gas savings it is so worth it. i will be saving around $200 a month on gas that I will be putting towards the payment instead. Over the time of a year I will save closer to $3,000 on gas. If I go and do Lyft while I am not traveling to a new state or something I will be making money, while I travel(around $2,000-$3,000/Month). Doing this, and at the same time doing all of my online work, speaking events, and YouTube I will be making enough to care for myself and pay all my bills, and you can do it too!
Thanks for reading! I hope you found value in this post and it helped you out! please share this around to friends and those who need it. If you would like to support me you can follow me here on Tumblr or donate to my Patreon. Thank you so much!
Hello! So today I will be discussing how to work through inconveniences. So currently the water line in my apartment building is busted which means that the water either doesn’t work at all or I’m taking freezing cold showers. This has been going on for about two weeks now and it is really annoying. But despite this, I am okay with it. I realize that things break and some things can’t be helped.
So, why am I not furious with the landlord? Because I know how to work through minor things that can annoy and even cause me to be upset. The importance in this is, You don’t have to react to everything that goes wrong in your life or in your surroundings. I was in the landlords office the other day to inform her about the issue. When I arrived there was this person that was very upset that the problem occurred and was taking her frustration out on my landlord(going to call her Deb for this article). Deb explained to her that the problem was going to be fixed in a few days and all will be well if she was patient.
Hearing this, and being the nosy girl I am I asked the angry woman why she was so upset at Deb if it wasn’t her fault and she had no control over the situation and was working to resolve the problem. She told me that “It is Debs fault that it is broken” that “its because of her laziness that it isn’t resolved already.” I calmly ask this woman(after leaving the office and walking towards the parking lot because I no longer needed to talk to Deb about the problem) why she was so upset if it was being resolved and couldn't easily be fixed in the time she wanted to. She told me that she had lost her job that week, and had a bunch of bills due along with a few other issues that I won’t discuss on this forum. I just told her to cheer up and that she should be happy she woke up today. She seemed happier and we went our separate ways.
The reason I tell you this story is because you can either be mad or change your reality. People often don’t realize that you are the maker of your reality and your life. You have the power to act, react, or not to every situation. You have the power to not only shape your life, but to change it. If something isn’t going your way then maybe just change the way that you are looking at it and maybe see the positive out of every situation.
I hope these words find you well, thank you for reading, I appreciate you.
In this episode I talk to my friend RJ about Living Abroad and how to do it, going into Detail about how to do it correctly, and how you can do it too! RJ: h...
Hello! Here is the First Episode of my Podcast! I have been working on this for a few weeks now and I am now ready to share this with you
So this won’t be a huge post since I’m super sick and currently driving to work right now. And that’s what I want to talk about.
I encourage you to have the work ethic and drive to work every possible day and even work when you’re sick(as long as you can obviously).
I can’t stress enough that having a strong drive to work every day and even on the days that you get sick. Yes, you want to take it easy but if you can still work then work.
Thanks for reading. Will be back to writing when I’m better ☺️
So this will be a tad different from my usual posts but it’s still just as important. I want to also share things from my life and events going on in it.
Some of you know I am a background actress in Hollywood and I also have all of my different avenues to make money out here in La. I have recently started making about $200-$400 a week working almost every day on set. This is a good amount of money and it was the amount I was shooting for.
Previous jobs I had I was making close to $75-$120 a week. Which is not enough for all the things I want to do.
My dream car is a Tesla Model 3 and I here to announce I have finally gotten to the point where I am making just enough to afford to save for the down payment and just a little bit over.
I have wanted a Tesla for many years and I’ve always said that I would be buying one very soon. But after talking to my roommate about getting one to start and then buying a second one after using it to Lyft around LA we might have come up with a system.
On an average day, Lyft drivers make $100 a day driving around 30-100 miles each day. Most people driving have to then pay for gas. So with gas prices being upwards $3.40/gal they will e d up spending around $30-$60 in gas daily and if they are making only about $100 they are hindered with making mass amounts of money because their cars cost too much to run. Let alone repair costs.
With a Tesla, this problem is solved. An average Tesla Model 3 can drive 220mi-330 miles on a charge which means if you drive about 150 miles a day you will have two days of work for every charge. The cost of supercharging is about $.19 p/kwh and a full charge would come out to about $7-$12 a day. So if you take say $15 out of your day to pay for “gas” and you’re making $100+ a day you will come close to $3k a month driving. Not to mention tips, bonuses, and other things that can increase your revenue. Also, this first Tesla will be used by my roommate and he will be driving that much as well. If we do shifts with driving the car for Lyft we could easily make around $4000 jointly. With the estimated monthly price of the car being a total of around $800 a month including insurance, charging, and upkeep me and my roommate will be able to pay our rent, pay for the car payments(also pay off quicker) and then on top of that, go and purchase a second on for my personal use(because I’m giving the first one to Chris).
With all of this planned I think we could have the first car paid off in a matter of about 6-10 months and the second one paid off in about 6-7 months if we are putting about $2k into the payments a month. Isn’t that cool?
But yeah, that’s just one thing I thought I’d share with you guys. I want to share my life with you guys a little bit more and I thought I’d tel you what’s on my mind today!
