Frank and his friend Brenda after a chorus concert. We don’t need to harden our schools. We need to soften our schools. We need more singing, more dancing, more theatre, and more art. We need naps in kindergarten, we need more paste more balloons, more colored markers, more compassion, more teachers and more therapists trained to identify a child who is hurting or adrift. We need schools to be safe spaces where all children feel accepted. We need to be more tolerant and loving. Children who have friends and are involved in their schools are much less likely to give in to hate, anger, and violence. I don’t want my children to attend a school that feels like a prison. #gunsense #neveragain
