On the premise of trying to get her life together, Kida had taken a long hard look at hey time in Swynlake so far.Â
She had met Elena, discovered her identity within moments and proceeded to make good friends with her. They drank and they cried and they watched terrible movies together and it was great. It was everything American movies had told her having a best friend would be like.Â
She had reconnected with Jiminy. It was unlikely but there had bee something comforting about finding an old friend in the smallest of places. It had given her hope that though she roamed so much, it wouldnât be impossible to find the seeds she had sown.Â
She had found company in Ellie, they still had so much to work on, and so much that Kida wanted to do, but she had a feeling this would amount to something meaningful.Â
She had stopped a demon from taking over Swynlake, met the bespoke demigod Maui, survived disaster after disasterâtravelled through time to a film set she hadnât even been on the surface for.Â
Wrapping her head around that one was not an easy task, especially since she had lost Clark the moment of their return. One second he was there, the next he was gone. It wasnât surprising, but Kida wished she had had the chance to ask some questions.Â
Course, whether or not he stayed clearly wasnât up to herâand neither was whether or not he appeared in the middle of the street, bearing horse.Â
Kida stopped dead in her tracks. She had a tea in one hand, and the other on the door to Hatterâs. Nearly dropping the former, she rushed out onto the street.Â
âClark! Hey! Whatâre youâis that your horse?âÂ
His name was said. No one had ever called his name before. Well they had but never right off the bat. It was usually after he told them and then did something they didnât like and were yelling at him for whatever it was that he did. Or Anthony. But it sounded nothing like Anthony.
Clark looked down looking at the people who were shaking their head at him, wondering if it was even him that had been addressed, until his eyes landed on someone familiar. Also something else he rarely got to experience. It took him a good long minute to place her face but, oh, how could he forget the woman he met the Sam Neill and The Jeff Goldblum with! The answer was that he couldnât! He could very well forget her name apparently. He had it written down though. Somewhere in his notebook that was tucked into his pants since his regular clothes had all been confiscated.Â
âIs this my-?â he looked down, as if he had forgotten the horse. And he had, but only for a moment. Clark turned his wrists inwards and tightened his hold on the reins slightly to move the bit to get the horse to stop so he could focus on the woman. Who did have a name. A wonderful name, probably.
âNo, actually. I um,â he winced and glanced over his shoulder as if he would see where he had just come from. Clark removed one of his hands from the reins to flick the brim of his hat up so he could see her better. Some of the snow that hadnât yet melted was flung onto the pavement to turn into small puddles upon contact. âWell I believe I may stolen her by accident.â
