Avoid talking to the press was one of the first lessons that her father had ever taught her, and when she was younger, it had always confused her. And now? Now she realized she really didn’t have much of anything interesting going on in her life, so what was the harm in talking to a reporter? What was he going to do? Run a headline that said Kate Bishop Returns Home: Is Boring? Yeah, actually… that might sting a little! But! There was a tiny chance that maybe he was there to hire her for something! So, she threaded her fingers together and leaned against her makeshift desk and stared at him. “So… what brings you to Hawkeye Investigations? Do you need help with an investigation and sought me out for my amazing detective skills? Because if so, you are in luck.” 

Clark hadn’t much to do and he hadn’t had a investigation in awhile.  But he needed one  “Hmm sure I would love to help,  and what  type is that you thinking of

“Nothing makes me happier than getting the chance to see my two best friends get married.” Warren admits while setting down an empty glass of champagne to the side to focus on who approached him. This wedding is an event that the blonde wouldn’t have missed for the world. Perhaps it had been a little motivation in regaining control of his own body again. Warren doesn’t want to dwell on any negative thoughts — only joyous ones. He has been mindful of his movements, having a set of large white feathered wings can be quite clumsy without meaning to. Nothing has been knocked over yet at least which is quite surprising actually. He’s happy to be able to have these kinds of experiences again with his friends and even the people here that he hasn’t met yet. Warren likes to mingle so he won’t be strangers with that crowd for long.

“Do you want to go get another drink?”

Clark had not really gone to many weddings lately, but he felt like he was covering this one. “Hello,  sure I could use another one”

Grant nods while listening, knowing how that feels to some extent. He has enhanced hearing too, but it doesn’t reach around the whole world. It surrounds a room maybe, but he thinks that hearing everyone all at once must be a lot. “I’ll keep that in mind if I ever need Superman to save me from something. I can’t imagine being that good. What makes you do it? Be there for everyone?”

While yes she did love her job and she found it very important, it was tiring at times. Grant tilts his head while looking at the older man. He never thought that he would meet Superman like this, but would try making the best out of it. “I hope you can find a reason to be happy. I’m trying to do the same. You can hear me anytime? Really?” He doesn’t know how to feel about that.

Honestly he didn’t mean to creep out the people he was talking to, but he had learned how to tune it out.  “I meant yes I can, even if I’m not near. But see my hearing is super and I can hear the whole ton of voices, but if you need to say something I’ll listen. I try to tune out everyone voice so I can have some quiet, like right now its just you and I that I hear.  Also thank you for that about hoping to find a way to be happy.

Grant didn’t want to bother a stranger about his problems, but this was Superman. To be honest, Loki had no idea if those machines would work on him being that he was born a god of sorts. However, he wasn’t exactly interested in finding out either. His buffoon of a brother got cheap thrills out of intentionally challenging the status quo, but Loki preferred the careful studying of his opponents first. A humiliating defeat had never been an easy pill to swallow while he hated having to figure things out mid-battle. Having an advantage worked best for someone like him which was why he was out,  but staying out of range for the most part. His abilities allowed him to detect activity from a decent range, but he was careful not to press. If the rumors he heard in that bar were true, those robots had impressive range of their own. The slightest hint in power usage could have several locking in and making one’s night quite miserable.

Slipping into an alley way, he leaned back against the cool brick watching as another patrol moved by. He was projecting his image from several blocks away, just slightly outside of their range according to his calculations. So far so good except he was being watched by another. He killed the projection of himself, pretending not to notice the person slipping up behind him. A dagger appeared out of midair and then he was on them, whipping around and slamming them into the tree. Pressing his form against them with the dagger to their throat, he arched a brow curiously. It wasn’t a known enforcer, but he still did not appreciate their sneaky ways as it pertained to him.

         “  Why were you watching me? Afraid I was going to cause a nasty bit of trouble?  ”

None of what the guy did hurt him, But he had to fake it. As Clark was Clark and not Superman at the time.  “I was just looking for a good story if you ask me, that’s what I was looking for.
