FAQ!

"What is Classpecting?"

Classpecting is a fantasy archetypal and magic system from the webcomic, Homestuck by Andrew Hussie. "Classpect" is a portmanteau of its two components, Class and Aspect.

There are 14 Classes and 12 Aspects.

I determine a post or blog's Classpect based on two things:

1. Themes and function

2. Vibes and intuition

If I get something wrong, no I didn't.

"What are your preferred pronouns/terms?"

My preferred pronouns are He/It.

You may refer to me as Sir, Mr., bro, sis, queen, king... I really only have a masculine pref for honorifics. Anything else you are free to get silly with.

"Can you Classpect me/my friend/a celebrity?"

No! Sorry. I do not Classpect real people. I will, however, Classpect your blog based on your handle, tags, bio and aesthetic. Sorry if that seems pedantic, but I don't Classpect anyone I don't know personally.

"Hi, this blog is awesome and I love you!"

Thank you so much, I love you too! All the love has been really wonderful. I was surprised by how much attention this gimmick got me.

"Why no pickles?"

I Classpect characters sometimes when I feel like it, yeah. It's also for funnies. Like, I do this for fun, but I mostly keep it real.

what would the classpect of the good dog best friend bec be?

I'd say Rogue of Blood or Doom.

On the one hand, his loyalty to Jade was so strong he caused genuine conflict for Jack when he was added to the mix.

On the other, his jumping into the sprite redistributed the doom from one universe to another, causing Bec Noir and therefore the deaths of most of the trolls.

On the other other hand, he empowered Jade when she went dogtier, since she prototyped her Dream Self, making her a First Guardian and therefore powerful enough to combat the impossible task she was up against. That'd make him a Page of Space.

I dunno. He's a plot device, too, so potentially he's a Ragebound. In which case since he would also be a Page.

Lot of ways you could go with Bec. Especially since he doesn't really have a proper character arc.

it’s exceedingly embarrassing feeling for me to ask about roblox stuff but i am curious how you would classpect griefer from block tales if that is something you would be cool with.

You see, I'm extremely Old School, and since I was 7 or 8, I have not engaged with Roblox, and have more or less refused to in the 11ish years that have followed. This is because I have been staunchly Team Minecraft from the very beginning.
