I crave something real.
Deep rooted in friendship & companionship.
A language only we can understand.
i love it when you start doing little things different & notice how much you’ve grown as a person just by that. like you from a year ago would not have handled that situation the way you are now. you’ve changed for the better. & that is so satisfying
ngl i used to think 25 years old was like ancient when i was 16. i think that's just how ur brain works when you're a teen tbh. the main thing to know is that your life is not over in your 20s or 30s, that's usually when you first begin figuring out how you're gonna live your life. it's really not the end of your "prime" or whatever. that shit is spread by skincare and makeup companies to sell you shit. you're fine
I think it's so important to have a "nature" calendar in your head, like a way of tracking time that's completely separate from anything work or obligation related, not holidays or anything stressful. For instance I look forward to august because at 8pm every night house finches hang around my window for a few weeks. In spring I love waiting for the magnolias to blossom. Just ways of tracking the time with zero stakes that's completely removed from life's zeitgeist and that you really look forward to

having a crush on someone is always so weird cause one moment you’re just two different people going along, etc, and then out of the blue one day, you’re thinking, “god, i wish i could go to the aquarium with them so i could watch their face light up as they stare and smile at all the weird, colorful fish drifting by.”
You’re opening the door to your home or walking around the farmers market or talking to someone you love on the phone or laughing w friends over dinner or sitting on the couch or looking out the window of a car, an airplane, a living room, and an emotional breakthrough reaches out to you like an eclipse, a subtle shift, a threshold you just passed through without even looking for it
