This post is in response to the quote I posted below. I was on Google before my class was about to start and I stumbled across this quote. It is actually very relatable. A couple days ago I realized that this will be my senior year, and in just a couple months, I will receive my B.S. in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting. Afterwards, I will be spending majority of my time after graduating ,before I start full-time at one of the Big 4 Accounting firms, to study for the CPA exam.

Of course it’s hard.  If it were easy, everyone would do it.  It’s the hard that makes it great.

Image of my resume. I remember back in the beginning of 2014, when I first joined Beta Alpha Psi, that I was required to have a resume. When creating my first resume, there wasn’t anything of high importance that I could have included in it. Looking back at what I have been able to accomplish in the past two years has honestly surprised me, and if you were to tell me back then that this is what my resume would have looked like, I would have laughed.

My name is Carlos David, I am currently studying to become a CPA. I interned with one of the Big 4 Public Accounting firms in the summer of 2015. Working as an Assurance intern really taught me the importance of being a sponge and taking the time to learn as much as I can. I also learned how to ask questions in a work place, because the people on your teams most likely will be busy. Learning how to compile all of my questions and asking them when I get completely stuck goes a long way. I am also very excited to start my Semester at SMC, and to learn as much as I can in my CIS 70: Social Media Applications Class.
