I decided to share this little two-page story, one page at a time.

I’m working on a portfolio for an editor who specifically asked for color pages and a more "non-realistic" style 😶...so I had to experiment quite a bit.

I don’t think I’ll post much more in color, since I honestly prefer black and white, and I’m not sure I’ll use this exact style again.

Still, I wanted to share these pages anyway, because they’re draining the life out of me with how much work they’re taking, and it felt right to at least put them out into the world 💚💙🤎💛🩶

I was incredibly happy to work on this illustration. The mood, the heavy shadows… everything was exactly the kind of atmosphere I love to explore.

This is a test I did for a possible cover of Carrie by my love Stephen King 🖤

The colors could still be touched up, but I quite like the result.

I knew Stephen King was very active on Threads, so I tried posting my Carrie there hoping for some interaction (even by mistake)... Of course he totally ignored me 😂

Hey! 👋👋 Those sketches are from last year, when I was thinking of making some funny comic strips about my dog... I thought I should train on real anatomy first and then try to make a caricature, but I haven't succeeded yet 😅
