A roar. A loud, angry roar. Seto had been walking through the woods before he heard it, enjoying himself with the beauty of nature. Once he could hear such a howl, the youth knew he needed to find the source—and he needed to hurry, too. He was afraid of what could have angered the animal he could already identify as a bear, and what is might do to its foe.
Soon enough, he could see the body of a man lying in the snow, as well as the form of an angry bear preparing to strike at Santa once more. Without a second thought, Seto placed himself over the stranger and glared at the bear. His eyes shifted to a bright, glowing red, for he was activating his ability. Once he spoke, it was enough to stop the animal in its tracks.
“Stop! Don’t move a step closer to him." His words were direct. The bear growled at him; it might have sounded like an aggressive growl from an angry animal, but to Seto, they were words. "What did he do to anger you? I assure you that whatever happened, you were never in danger of losing territory or being injured. Step back.”
A moment passed before the creature took a step back in slight confusion. As soon as he could confirm it was safe, the youth moved away from his position over Santa. Now, instead bending over him, he asked, “Hey, are you alright?”
What happened? One minute, he was attacked by a bear, and then some kid goes and just talks to him go away? Was that magic, or was that boy just really good with animals? Well, whatever. He saved Santa's life, and he's very grateful for it. He tries to stand up, but his body just hurt so much. His whole body was about to crack, in a way.
"T-thanks for saving my ass. What's your name? Mine's Santa... can you help me up, please?" The pain was way too much. Aoi felt like he was going to die if he stayed like this any more.
