Guidance of the open skies (Sora, closed event starter)
Clay had to give a bemused grin about the other apparently having been just as sidetracked by the sheer wonder of the skies as himself, before waving off the apology with a carefree, relaxed arm. "Well, you don’t really need to apologize, then, seeing as I was doing the exact same thing! Being locked inside a school with no windows and no little view of the outside world - it sure makes you appreciate the beauty of the night sky even more, ya know? …Ah, but here I am making a big sappy scene about this, sorry!"
Though, the person who appears to be wearing at least five different layers of sweaters and warm stuff makes Clay realize that worrying about ‘sappy’ is thankfully something he doesn’t have to do here with this guy. Hey, awesome to see someone else enthusiastic about the night sky, and his grin only increased all the more for it. “Well, I guess we can’t exactly see eeeverything - we’d need a really big telescope, and even then, space goes on forever, but who knows! Maybe we might even see familiar stars that remind us of home. It’s a nice reminder that though this school can be scary: the skies watching over us, the stars…they’ll never change, and always be there waiting, heh.”
Clay was capable of waxing serious thoughts - but he just only did them rarely, like now, where the beauty of the stars moved him to say such things.
"…Ooops! Being too serious again. That’s silly of me, but I really love space that much, I guess! It makes sense ya haven’t seen me, I’m pretty new here - my name’s Clay Terran! Nice ta meetchya, Sora!"
With that, the space enthusiast stuck out his gloved hand to offer a handshake to the other.
As the guy talks and talks and talks about stars and stuff, Sora can't help but feel an overwhelming sense of relief. The people around here had been pretty unfriendly or just plain weird, which the latter, he figures, is okay. But still. It's nice to hear just genuine enthusiasm. Even if he kinda sorta talks a lot. Well, he's been around Donald enough to be used to it. And anyway, it's nice after the silence he's endured the past few days.
"You know Clay, you kinda remind me of my friend from back home. He used to talk about how big and connected the worlds were, and wanting to see it all." There's a moment where he just wants to just cry because he misses Riku and Kairi and everyone, but he quickly pulls on a grin, and shakes Clay's outstretched hand eagerly.
"Yeah, it's nice to meet you, too." He pulls away, and then shoves his hand quickly back into his coat pocket. "Sooooo... Wanna make a snowman?"
Okay, so maybe that's a little weird, but in his defense he's been wanting to make one since he got here. He hasn't ever made one before, this is his chance!
