Clawmaiden
Puppet servant of the Citadel, suspended on strings of Silk. An early form of automaton, requiring extensive Silk to maintain its service.
Where do quantities of Silk large enough to animate such a thing come from? There must be a great repository of it, somewhere deep in the Citadel…
From the Holy First Children, of course. They who sustain the great lands of Pharloom aswell.
How do you feel about clawmaidens?
I did not see m-many of them in the C-core. They were s-staples of the H-high H-halls- you could not take a s-step without seeing a C-clawmaiden.
I have no h-hatred towards any of my f-fellow c-cogwork b-bugs! C-clawmaidens were some of the f-first to s-serve the C-citadel, and while I no longer have such t-ties to them, I r-respect their l-loyalty and w-wish that they are c-content.

They come closer, eagerly looking at the cloak it had brought.

[A bit too big, felt more like a gown than a cloak. It was comfortable, though.]

Goldie touches the material of the cloak, turning around several times just to get the feel of it.
“It is a lot bigger and longer than I expected, but it is very comfortable. I like it! Thank you so much! I cannot wait to show Sirin and Sibling Envoy.”
Who are those. An Envoy from the HOLY Citadel?
“Oh! No. Sibling Envoy comes from the Void, not the Citadel. And Sirin is the Void god. They are my family,” Goldie quickly explained.
Void. As in the Black Threads. You are family with the Black Thread Beings.
