The worst thing about odin's design is that it's not actually that bad, it just has a seizure inducing color scheme that makes the rest of it look atrocious by association

I can fix ryan's design I KNOW i can but he has such specific restrictions when trying to make changes. My immediate thought is to look at damian and the things that make his design work but not ryan's--but like, there's really no reason for me to let ryan be a damian clone? Damian's whole thing that's reflected in his design is that he's a victim of a cult mindlessly repeating their doctrine; Ryan is the opposite of that. I feel like acknowledging the design inspiration enough to double down on it would be spitting in the face of the decent character that damian is, like, it feels especially cruel to take elements that exemplify his victimhood and use them to portray the abuser in that situation. But atp maybe that cruelty is itself something worth incorporating into ryan's design. Idk im getting there

#completely lost on odin though like i love him but his design sucks shit irreparably #i know all the stupid zigzags and studs are supposed to resemble claws. it sucks and it's dumb.

Ive been thinking about how fascinatingly awful this show is more often unfortunately to continue caring about beywheelz means to continue watching beyraiderz and im really scared of that

#mostly because im aware atp that its not the same series at all its a different thing that reuses assets #yet i feel compelled to try to work s1's worldbuilding into it and i know thats an uphill battle #idk maybe ill just rewatch episodes 10 and 11 again. surprisingly decent episode followed by the most bafflingly awful episode of anything

beyraiderz isnt canon to beywheelz. anything in bw may not have happened in br.

the end of bw isnt even canon to bw, its a nonliteral and open ending.

bw and br are different stories with recycled characters. deltarune situation.

Imagine being odin and being so convinced you'd found a reason to live and followed it to dangerous uncharted territory and then when you get there it's just wasteland and regular broke ass cities everywhere and you never got invited to the few events that will ever involve the reason you came here. You don't even find out the person you came for made it here alive until after he vanished. Okay now imagine you're nicole and all of that happens to you but you have no wilderness survival skills.

#i like to think covey found another little town and did more for the prosperity of it within a week than the mcs did in the entire series #odin probably instantly relapsed into his team dominators habits and reestablished beywheelz all on his own. hed become a less evil ryan.#marche and nicole get dysentery and die or smth
