if youve installed optifine recently, scan your computer

an infected copy of the mod had a remote access program hidden in it, and ive been dealing with having my accounts hacked as a result. the person behind it almost charged 500$ worth of cs:go skins to my steam account. they also attempted to trade said skins on my ebay account

it may sound dumb but losing 500$ to an innocent mistake is a HUGE deal, snd im lucky steam flagged the suspicious behavior and refunded me. that kind of money could ruin someones life really easily

if nothing comes up, its probably a legitimate copy. in the slim event this post prevents this from happening to someone else, its worth spreading the word
