Delhi-based architect Achyut Kanvinde’s design of the Dudhsagar Dairy (Dudhsagar literally meaning sea of milk), a milk factory located in Mehsana in the state of Gujarat, is an early manifestation of the ambitious, nation-wide dairy development program by the Indian government in the last quarter of the twentieth century (1970–1996).
